Gwern Borter Manor Reviews

Wonderful house and facilities with everything we needed in the kitchen. The hot tubs were a great success even tho the weather was atrocious.
Claire
We loved this house, it was in a beautiful rural location which was great for exploring despite the awful weather and was within a very close proximity to the gorgeous town of Conwy, which we enjoyed. The house was very spacious and full of character with lots of receptions rooms for people to have quiet time if they wanted. The bedrooms were well made up and very clean. Only very minor feedback would be that a full size dishwasher would have been better as the house is advertised for up to 20 guests so a half size dishwasher is not appropriate for this number of dishes. Also a few more pans of varying sizes would also have come in useful. Lastly, we stayed over Christmas so would have been more magical if the house was made to look a little more festive, as there was just one small rather sad looking tree in the main living room with no other decorations anywhere in the house. This is just a nice to have though, not a necessity and didnt spoil our amazing Christmas. We really did enjoy the house and the area and thoroughly enjoyed our Christmas, so thank you so much for the opportunity to use your beautiful house for our special family get together!!!!!
Absolutely stunning house and location. Very well equipped with great quality and tasteful furnishings. Everyone commented on how comfortable the beds were. Owner lovely and helpful. We absolutely loved our stay and wish it could have been for longer. Will definitely look to book again.
We stayed at Gwern Borter Manor for one week as a group of 20. We had a really lovely time and found it to be spacious enough for all of us. The beds were so comfortable and it was very well equipped with spare towels as a plus. The kitchen was our main hub. It felt very homely and again well equipped with plenty of crockery. Location was perfect for nature walks and short drive to Conwy castle and the coastline, the beautiful village of BetwsYcoed and the waterfalls. We also visited Zip world for some activity. Overall, I would highly recommend it and would happily return.
Gorgeous property, issue with lights first evening but this was resolved next day, 2 showers not working at all, not resolved. Fruit flies everywhere in kitchen & dog poo in garden. House was extremely comfortable, especially the beds. We really enjoyed our stay despite few issues.
We had a fabulous stay at Gwern Borter. It is a beautiful house in a lovely setting and was the perfect location for our family gathering. The kitchen is very well appointed and it was wonderful being able to seat everyone in the dining room.

Fabulous stay, with some lovely additional touches such as robes, luxury soap and plenty of fluffy towels. The hot tubs and saunas were fabulous easy to operate with clear instructions, and a warm, friendly welcome was given through the super brochure and a welcome email from the owners. A couple of the showers in two of the rooms were running hot and cold, but that is the only small grumble the house, setting and atmosphere was fantastic and we have made many happy memories as a family! The beds are THE most comfortable I have ever stayed in in my life! I would highly recommend staying at this beautiful home.

Just spent the May bank holiday staying at this house for my 30th birthday, and couldnt ask for a better place to celebrate. The house is very spacious and was not short of cutlery, cups, plates etc. the hot tubs and sauna was perfect, both really clean and situated in the perfect location for friends and family to socialise if they didnt want to go in. The views are stunning, the beds are really comfy and spacious, no complaints from any guests. We finished the weekend sitting round the fire in the living room and it was so cosy! Would definitely stay again and recommended to friends and family who didnt come.
Lovely property in a great location. Very clean & tidy with great space for a large group and plenty of room for everyone. The dining room provided a lovely space for the whole group to sit down together & no shortage of glasses, cutlery or crockery. Great countryside and walks on the doorstep, not far to drive to lovely beaches.
