Acorns Reviews

Absolutely fantastic. Spotlessly clean. Had a fantastic few days. Will definitely be back & would highly recommend.
Really enjoyed are short stay, accommodation was very clean and the hot tub was fantastic and under cover. Nice pub just up the road with great food.

Michelle , We had a lovely week there and really enjoyed it. The owners are nice and friendly people and very helpful, would definitely stay there again. Also the pub up the road serves really nice food .
We had a fantastic stay at Acorns, the lodge itself was immaculate. It had everything you needed for a great stay, the hot tub was fantastic way to relax after walking all day. The pub up the road Glan yr Afron Inn is also great, the locals are very friendly and they are dog friendly. Perfect stay, we can't wait to book again!

This cottage is in a great location for visiting North Wales. Selling point for us is the covered verandah and decking which housed the hot tub, outside table and chairs, double swinging seat. So even on the days when the weather was drizzling with rain, we were still able to enjoy the outside space. The cottage is cosy and spacious. The warm air radiators are lovely and responsive should you need them to take the chill off on a cold wet day. Welcome basket was a very nice touch and very generous too with fresh baked bread, shortbread, kettle chips, bottle of wine, coffee, welsh butter and cheese. A couple of small issues were quickly dealt with by the lovely hosts, there was an essential item missing from the kitchen which was rectified almost immediately. I would like to see a couple more dishes in the kitchen, maybe supply enough for 6, then there is always extra dishes to use for serving up etc. and a colander would have been useful small things that would make life a little easier if you want to cook and eat in. But that didnt detract from our enjoyment. The best compliment we could pay is to say that we would return to the lovely Acorns cottage.

We would like to say that our stay was so enjoyable. The location and accommodation was superb. The owners being on site was a bonus and both friendly and welcoming. We would recommend this to anyone. One recommendation maybe would be a fly net on the entrance as when we were there we did keep the door open during the day because of the warm weather. Apart from that we could not fault the place.

Acorns was perfect for us! It was lovely and clean and everything we needed during our stay. We had the loveliest welcome basket filled with lots of lovely fresh local produce bread was amazing. Beau wasn't left out either with a tin of doggy treats and a basket of toys and blanket, he was a happy pup! The decking area and hot tub was fantastic. Honestly couldn't fault anything, area was lovely and lots of doggy friendly places to visit too. Beau loved the garden area, always new smells for him to investigate lol. We would highly recommend Acorns to everyone.
Brilliant, very relaxing, everything we wanted

Acorns is such a beautiful place to stay. Great location, very clean and homely. The hot tub was amazing and the little basket of goodies were a lovely touch. There is a pub up the hill which is within 2 minutes walking distance and plenty to do only a car journey away we visited Chester Zoo and Zip World which we highly recommend Thank you for a lovely stay!

The property is nestled away in the quiet market town of Holywell and boasts an inviting decking area that is ideal for lounging around, listening to the birds and enjoying quality time with family. It is shaded so that you dont need to worry about your pooch andor children being in direct sun. The hot tub is particularly inviting in the evenings with inbuilt mood lighting and soothing jets providing a sense of luxury and hint of romance if thats your jam. The location is near a pubrestaurant and a short distance to local attractions. Just 20 30 minutes drive, you will find beaches, well stocked fishing lakes and Chester Zoo. The owners are very welcoming and take great pride in ensuring that your holiday is relaxed and enjoyable.

The holiday home was perfect, very nicely presented, clean, comfortable and everything we needed. The veranda and garden was perfect for Kobi our dog and we enjoyed the hot tub. Highly recommend it.
William
First of all, we had a friendly warm welcome on arrival. Thereafter it was non intrusive, however we knew we could access information if required at any time. The property is spacious, clean with all amenities on hand. An extra surprise on arrival which were provided, was bread, butter and local savouries. A very pleasant relaxing stay and a good base for travelling to nearby towns & villages. Would highly recommend.
Stewart
