Bennar Fawr Reviews

The house iis beautiful and a perfect size for our party of 17. The location and proximity to the beach was really lovely. Great to have 2 Hot tubs. The bedrooms were a good size. Beds and bedding were of a good quality and very comfortable. Not wanting to be critical and just a a few Ideas would be having a couple more large serving dishes and big serving spoons. This would have been useful as we were serving up large quantities of food particularly as it was Christmas. We spent a lot of time in the big kitchen which was always warm and wonderful. Not sure if time clock was wrong due to a power cut we had but it seemed cold upstairs in top bedrooms. The batteries had gone in thermostat in bedrooms 9 and 10 in top floor. But this was easily sorted. Laura responded very quickly to any queries, even on Christmas day when the power cut happened. We enjoyed our stay very much even felt emotional when we had to leave.
Fabulous Xmas family stay. Perfect location with the beach a stones throw away. The house perfect for a large group. 22 family members Laura, the owner went out of her way to ensure our comfort and answered our queries which were numerous tirelessly. Wouldnt hesitate in returning.

We LOVED our stay here. The property is nothing short of amazing and is perfect for large groups. The kitchen was the ideal space for bringing everyone together, while the multitude of other comfortable spaces meant people could break away in smaller groups when it was needed. All the bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, with ample bedding, and you couldn't hear much noise from them either so no disturbance from the early risers or the late nighters! The setting is just gorgeous, as is the surrounding area, and we had a good mix of staying in can thoroughly recommend bringing in a private chef! and visiting the local sights of Barmouth, Harlech, Portmadog and Portmerion. There's some absolutely delightful places to eat and drink around, which were helpfully highlighted by the super friendly and communicative owners, who really helped elevate our stay with well thoughtout extra little touches. All in all it was absolute pleasure, and we can't wait to come back and visit again!

The property was amazing. Every room was as good as the last. The property was clean and well kept and accommodates 24 people comfortably. The garden and amenities were fantastic. A short walk to the beach and a short drive to the shops. The only thing to consider for future is to either install a large American style fridge freezer or otherwise put in a standalone freezer inthe utility room as the freezer currently in the kitchen a much too small to accommodate for such a big group. We would definitely book again once bigger freezer is put in!.

We had a wonderful stay at Bennar Fawr, it was a very well equipped and laid out house and very cosy we had one very wet and windy day weather wise. The house was beautiful with lots of space for a big group. We had the pleasure of having a private catered dinner by chef Lewis Keane, his food was fabulous and he really made the weekend extra special, the food was thoroughly enjoyed by all guests. We climbed Mount Snowdon whilst visiting, the house is about an hour drive away from here if you are wanting to do this. The beach near the house was absolutely beautiful, perfect for dog walks and very close to the property. Laura was also very accommodating and helpful whilst planning our trip. Would highly recommend and return.
An amazing house set in beautiful surroundings. We were having an early 70th birthday celebration for my husband with our daughters and their families so there were 16 in total and the enormous kitchen became our hub for a lot of the time as it is so light and airy. Obviously the hot tubs were also very much enjoyed but we also visited local walks places we went to when our daughters were little so our grandchildren could also enjoy them. Great memories made x
Amazing house that allowed all our 19 friends to gather and enjoy ourselves in lovely, comfortable surroundings, it was very nicely decorated, clean with great hot tubs too. Lovely walks and beach on the door step, highly recommend it.

Really good clean property. Garden was a bit messy when arrived Chairs all over the place. And a few bits of rubbish about. We had a good re arrange and sorted all this. Lights also didnt work so we had to go to the fuse box as tripped out. In One of the rooms a load of paint had flaked off ceiling and gone onto floor. House had everything you needed we just all thought a little welcome pack explaining how to use things would be handy such as ovens and tvs as we struggled for a while to get one tv working as internet wouldnt connect. It was advertised for 24 but we had 23 and still struggled for beds as the sofa beds were tiny for some of the lads. Id say more 20 Overall we all liked the property location was good, the beds were super comfy and well presented. House was clean when arrived and easy to get into. Hot tubs were also really good some of the best weve used. We would defiantly stay again.
Bigger freezer would be better for house this size as we struggled to get our shopping in it and a dustpan and brush to sweep up bits would be useful. Great beds and bathrooms, ground floor room however had no storage!
We had a wonderful time, but all, young and old found the kitchen very noisy for meals, with a lot of echo. Maybe curtains and some panels on the wall would help? For 24 people there was a woeful supply of serving dishes, large saucepans, and 1 cafetiere and 1 kettle seemed crazy for so many. Otherwise it all worked beautifully. Some plaster fell off the wall behind the bannister going up to the top floor. Also as it is a big house, and some groups might bring someone to help with the cooking I think a few items such as lemon squeezer, baking dishes, and maybe a wand or food processor would be sensible.
The property exceeded our expectations and it was clear that it was extremely important to the owner that their provision was of the highest standard and quality in order that their customers were comfortable. Care and thought had gone in to this. In the lead up to our visit we had a few questions and the owner was approachable and helpful and followed up on things. In summary, both the property and the customer service were excellent. We were blown away by Bennar Fawr and we look forward to returning.

Great house, lovely location. Nicely decorated feeling modern and clean. Very comfortable beds! We didn't want to leave!

We had such an amazing family holiday, the kitchen and dining room was perfect for our evening dining and organised fun! Everyone thought the house was supper stylish, homely, comfortable and a home away from home! Everyone loved their ensuites which was a luxury and the beds were so comfy we asked where to buy the mattresses! Location was idylic with a short 10mins stroll down the road, to an incredible coast line. We hope to come back and stay on another family holiday as it was such a beautiful holiday!
Carrie
We had the most amazing holiday at Bennar Fawr. What a house! Absolutely gorgeous, we couldnt have asked for more. The location and views were beautiful, the local people were friendly, so close to the beach with the added bonus of being pet friendly... Our group was made up of adults and children, 15 people in total and there was plenty of space for everyone to engage as a family but also plenty of rooms to have a little piece and quite. The hot tubs and sauna are added perks but honestly we couldnt fault a thing. Would love to revisit again soon. A huge Thank you from all the Keating family. Highly recommended
Elaine
The property was beautiful and prefect for our girls trip. The kitchen is fab and there is a lot of attention to detail throughout the whole property. The beds are super comfy and every bedroom is beautiful. It would be handy to have access to a sweeping brush and a mop, as it was tricky to tidy up any spillages, apart from that it was perfect!
Darren
The property is great for large groups, with a really good large dining kitchen and multiple lounges, and two hot tubs. It is also a stunning location 10 minutes walk from a glorious beach its not one for swimming and amazing coastal walks. We had a brilliant family break and everyone loved the house. We also appreciated how dog friendly it was too.
Bradley
Amazing house for a family holiday. The standard is extremely high we couldnt have wished for more. 15 minute walk to the beach, 5 mins to nearest shop, 10 min drive to Barmouth perfect location!
What an absolutely incredible home. We booked it for my husbands 40th birthday and the house comfortably accommodated all 22 adults. The facilities were incredible with a large kitchen and separate areas for guests to sit back and relax. Not one but two hot tubs!!!! The whole group have said they would love to book to return next year. Thank you so much for enabling us to make such special memories.
What a wonderful property! We had a lovely stay at Bennar Fawr, the house is in a great location, a short walk from an amazing beach, few minutes drive to nearest shop and a few miles down the road Barmouth! The house itself has a real WOW factor, the kitchen is to die for and a great space for all the family to gather. Every single room is done to a high standard, great views and en suites, so no arguments were had! The safe surroundings allowed all our children to play for hours in the outdoors and the hot tubs and sauna were an added bonus! Some quick fixes tin opener and a whisk but we'd give it 1010 all day long and would definitely return! Thank you Laura for being so quick to respond to our queries and the yummy welcome pack!
Kathryn
This property is stunning. We stay in a lot of large houses and the layout was perfect. All rooms exceptional with plenty of spaces to chill but the main kitchen dining area is the perfect place to congregate as a group. The most amazing beach a short walk away and enjoyable even in sideways wind ! Will definitely be back. Owners were quick to fix a problem from previous guest stay as well.
This is an excellent property in a gorgeous location. Huge kitchen, ample bedrooms, really responsive host. We had a wonderful time.
We had a beautiful stay at Bennar Fawr. We were looking for an extra special place to accommodate all our family of 15, and we found it. The furnishings and decor are both beautiful and consistent throughout the house. The jacuzzis and sauna are an added luxury that we really enjoyed. The property is only a 1015 minute walk from the beach where we enjoyed incredible sunsets and walks. Such a bonus! This property is extra special, with plenty of room to relax individually and gather together. The kids loved the garden and the huge kitchen and dining space is wonderful! Being able to all eat around one table was so special. The owner and property manager both went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was a success and provided excellent customer service. We made some special memories at Bennar Fawr and hopefully will be able to return to this beautiful home again to make more. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Was a very Nice property except the internal sensor lights which were too sensitive and would come on in the night . but the property is definitely worth as its newly done up and had all the amenities. for a large group its very with it . I would rate it excellent
