Briallen Reviews

Lovely place to stay. Nice and peaceful and clean. Will definitely be booking again. The cat was very friendly too.
We had a lovely time at the property. We were greeted at the gate and escorted to the property by Mrs Lloyd who regularly checked up on us. There was an issue with the central heating upon arrival but was quickly rectified by the owners. The hot tub was rather disappointing though. There is a water leak on the top inlet hose from the fire which meant low water levels. There is also a filter missing from the same inlet hose into the hot tub which meant ash was in the water.

Was a lovely stay, the place was very clean and very well looked after with modern interior. Such a beautiful and secluded location. We very much enjoyed our stay, thank you.
Limited storage for clothes would benefit with a few baskets under settee .
Absolutely flawless, no faults at all!
Great secluded stay, perfect for escaping the fireworks that scare our dog on bonfire night. There is one pod in the field next door and a couple houses nearby but its designed so that its pretty private for both. Amazing peaceful surroundings, river stream on your doorstep! Mrs Lloyd owners cat was a character and very sweet! WiFi is also very good youll need it as no signal Hot tub got up to heat in November give it a couple hours and a big fire. A little more kindling to get it going would be nice though. The price is very fair for such a great spot at a nice property. There were a couple downsides but only worth noting and didnt detract from our stay The blinds are quite awkward and one kept falling off. They are also more like privacy semitransparent rather than blackout so we found there was no point using them Storage is very limited as you might expect, dont bring huge bags. Slight odour in bathroom noticeable occasionally, nothing an air freshener couldnt help Mattress and pillows not the best but got used to it A bit more info in booklet may be helpful e.g. walks, using hot tub, recommendations nearby Nothing against the property but we found much of the shops, cafes, restaurants etc in surrounding towns are more often than not closed during off season. We highly recommend this if youre looking for a peaceful getaway and is perfect for a dog too.
This is a perfect holiday spot. The location is fantastic it is tucked away in the midst of Snowdonia, however it is only a short drive to local attractions and eateries! It is a lovely pod, so spacious and cosy! Clare and Gethin were so friendly and accommodating We will definitely go again, and would recommend it to anyone! Just be nice to Mrs Lloyd!
I recently stayed at Briallen and what a wonderful stay. The cottage was so homely and deceivingly spacious, even though there is another pod it is very private. I would definitely recommend and i will be returning
Rachael
Location was absolutely perfect, and the views were incredible. The pod had all the essentials needed for a lovely stay.

Instructions on how to operate the hot tub and how long it takes to heat up would have been beneficial
Lovely little pod in a quiet and scenic location, carefully placed to not be overlooked by the farmhouse or the pod in the adjacent field. Kitchenette works best for twopan and microwave meals, but good choice of pubseateries within 2025 mins drive. Hot tub works well, just build a good fire in the burner and give it a couple of hours first.
We had a wonderful stay in Briallen, the pod was ideal, and very clean and we'll equipped, the surrounding area was beautiful, lovely to sit and listen to the river. We will definitely recommend and return to this property.
The pod and its surroundings were gorgeous! It was really nice to be surrounded by wildlife and our neighbours four little black sheep were lovely. My dog loved having all that space to roam. Unfortunately the mattress wasnt that comfy, the springs really dug in and the feathers from the pillows kept spiking us.
The property is in an excellent location however don't take to many clothes as ... The property is in an excellent location however don't take to many clothes as there is no where to put them also there is no oven but apart from this I had a very relaxing break
Lovely location. Really close to Barmouth . Instant hot water good WiFi . Will book again . Thanks for renting your great cabin . Cheers wayne ,Lorraine and Charlie x
Amazing, cute little cottage for two. Really well presented and felt like a really cute little hobbit hole. Would definitely escape here again. I won't let it detriment the review, but I'd recommend blackout blinds for the windows. In the summer, it obviously lights up the whole hut pretty quick. But isn't really a problem with the pod. Absolutely great little snug.
Lovely relaxing stay a real get away from it all . Welcome pack very much appreciated. Absolutely luved it . Very clean and everything you need .
Really nice little find. Nicely tucked away. Super quiet location, which was not overlooked. Well decked out pod with a really nice and powerful shower, which is unusual. Hot tub made the stay. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
We stayed at Briallen from 1820th May. It really is amazing, so quiet and tranquil. The surrounding countrysidescenery is amazing. The pod itself is really brilliant, its a lot more spacious than you think and its very clean and well maintained. The Welsh cakes, crisps and Prosecco was a lovely touch and there was also a pint of milk in the fridge. Everything has been thought about to make your stay perfect. If there was one thing I had put as mark down it would be the logs for the hot tub. Because theyre pressed saw dustchippings I found they werent getting hot enough to heat the tub. But that didnt impact our stay at all, as its equally relaxing sitting on the deck listening to the brook and nature. If the hot tub is a big thing for you though just take your own logs and youll be fine. I would 100 book this stay again, as its just what we wanted and made my birthday! Thank you Clare and Gethin!
What an amazing place to relax and be in nature
Beautifully clean well kept modern pod, in an amazing totally private location, excellent base to visit surrounding areas of outstanding beauty and excellence, well recommended any time of the year.
We had the best time. We will definitely be back we have loved every second. The owners couldnt do enough for us.
We stayed here for 4 nights 17042023 for my birthday and we absolutely loved it. The pod was so clean and lovely and the area was stunning. Nearby to two local towns so not far from the beach and plenty of nice walks. Our dog had the best time.
We absolutely loved this little place! Even nicer than it looks in the photos, extremely private, very cute and pretty, comfortable, and clean. Also location is absolutely perfect, very remote and feels very much out the way but still was easy to get to the nearby town which had some lovely restaurants. Could not recommend it enough.
Excellent stay would definitely recommend as its brilliant how its ... Excellent stay would definitely recommend as its brilliant how its enclosed i had no worries about my dog wondering off

Absolute gold mine! We absolutely loved our stay!!
We had amazing time, the owners are really lovely people. On our second day of holiday I got really big migraine therefore my partner contacted them and ask for painkillers. They came within 20minutes with paracetamol and save our romantic night! Highly recommend!
Very enjoyable stay. With the privacy, relaxation and tranquility we needed. Thank you for the lovely gifts to welcome us on our arrival.
Thank you for a lovely stay, we were very happy. Just a little feedback to help. A dish or two that could be used in the microwave to cook would have been useful, we struggle a little to cook at the property.
Matthew
Outstanding
I had a great week at Briallen. The weather was amazing snowy, sunny and dry, temperatures well below freezing, yet the pod was cozy and warm. I did some great walks with my dog Ashie, both locally from the pod, and also up to Bryn Cader Faner stone circle. The pod has everything you need, and Clare and Gethin leave a welcoming gift of local waffles, crisps and wine. Gethin was really friendly and helpful. Thank you both for a lovely holiday!
What a fantastic place! We booked the pod for a few days relaxing break which we thoroughly enjoyed. We arrived to find complimentary drinks and snacks which proved welcoming after a long drive before climbing into the hottub with another drink in hand to view the stars and listen to the ripples of the nearby stream. The pod was clean and tidy with everything provided and the central heating keeps the place nice and warm even on some of the cold frosty mornings. The pod is ideally placed to visit the Snowdonia area and Barmouth is just down the road for meals and walks along the beach. We were sad to leave such an idyllic setting and will be looking to book again in the future.
Feather mattress and bedding not very good for asthma suffers
The pod is in a lovely tranquil setting and feels very private. The accommodation was as advertised and again was superb . The hosts had also left some nice goodies which was a lovely gesture . We met the hosts who were extremely friendly and this certainly makes a difference and In the welcome pack they left their contact details . Unfortunately due to the weather we couldnt use the hot tub, which was a shame so we had to drink the Prosecco instead !!. Definitely recommend .

I had a lovely stay with my partner at Briallen. The place is beautiful and so are the surrounding areas. The owners had put some little bottles of wine and some Welsh crisps and waffles out for our arrival, this was a lovely touch. The pod was clean and had everything needed for a short stay. Would definitely go back there.
It first time we stayed in a pod and this part of Wales. Was not disappointed on either. The pod has everything needed. It cosy and comfortable. Has everything needed inside for your stay.We did have a problem with the TV when arrived. Phoned owner clare who was very helpful. It was due to other occupants hadn't signed out on netflix so would recommend to check first. On arrival we were welcomed by Mrs Lloyd their cat. She beautiful disappointed didn't see her after but could have been due to we had a dog. Horses in field side of pod were very friendly. Pod is located to so many places and lovely walks nearby. Only one disappointment was that we left day early as thou only booked 4nights but was 5nights. Barmouth is a must to visit. Lovely beach. Would definitely recommend this place and hopefully stay here again
Daniel
Just perfect retreat for a couple wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle. The pod is perfect size and comfort wise and comes with everything you need. Great location. Set in a great location. Hot tub was lovely too.
Elizabeth
It wasn't clear that the hot tub doesn't have electricity on the booking therefore it was just like sitting in a bath with no bubbles. Also I was surprised to read that we were expected to dispose of our refuse and hot tub ashes upon vacating the property something that I haven't come across previously. It would also have been beneficial to have enough solid fuel to heat the hot tub for the 2 nights that we had booked. Otherwise our break was lovely in a clean and comfortable pod in a beautiful setting
My partner and I have just returned from a really lovely weekend here. It was so quiet, peaceful and really relaxing. The surrounding scenery was really beautiful and also very private. We particularly loved Mrs Lloyd and she really made our holiday! She visited every day for a fuss and purred none stop. Gethin was also very friendly and helpful and very quick to respond when we asked for extra logs for the hot tub, which was very much appreciated. The hot tub does take a couple of hours to warm up but we just lit it in advance and it really wasn't a big deal. We did find the TV a bit tricky to get working and we wondered if there was an issue with the remote? As we couldn't seem to select anything to actually watch when we had Netflix on. However, we did use the Wifi and was able to mirror from our phones. All in all, we were sad to come home and would recommend to anyone! Thanks for a lovely stay
Michael
Property was excellent although the location was rather remote. But yes no complaints at all.
