Cegin Foch Reviews

Darren
Upon arrival greeted by the friendly owner Arwel, who explained all the facilities and operation of hot tub, also advised if anything else was needed just ask. We stayed in this quaint cottage with our dog and enjoyed the lovely walks and beaches nearby. All the facilities in the cottage were working fine including toilet, as previous review stated there was a problem with it, this must have been repaired before we arrived Small secured garden area was good for keeping the dog secure whilst enjoying the hot tub
We had a really lovely week at Cegin Foch. It was cosy, comfortable and well equipped. Its in a beautiful spot with views of the sea and mountains beyond. We loved the walk through the woodland and fields down to the local secluded beach took us about 35 minutes. Well located for exploring the coast on either side. Hot tub was great too. Friendly welcome on arrival by the owner. The only downside for us was that the toilet didnt flush properly I think the bathroom could do with a total refurb. But I would recommend staying here, Lots of lovely places to visit close by we went to morfa nefyn, Criccieth, Nant Gwytherin, Pwllheli, Porthmadog, black rock sands and Harlech. Thank you for a lovely stay xx
Stayed here for 2 nights. Met the owners and the family dog Scoobi. Very welcoming and friendly family. The location and cottage was perfect for us as it is in a secluded spot with local walks but only 15 mins from the nearest town. There are only 3 cottages here with loads of personal space and privacy. We are already planning our next trip there.
Been before to larger properties Beudy and Sgubor Cottage had all we needed for our 2 week stay. We like that there is walking trail by the cottages and just 10 minutes drive a large sandy beach. For us perfect
We loved this property. Very cosy and home like. The hot tub was an added bonus. Dog friendly, and they even have a field which the dogs are able to run freely around. The owners were very welcoming and friendly. Will definitely be returning. Thank you

I would personally like to thank the property owner for an amazing couple of days at Cegin Foch. An amazing relaxing location that me and my family needed. Attention to detail was excellent and the location outstanding. We will be visiting again.Thank you.

Love cottage. And hot tub was amazing.
Great place to stay and base for north wales and the lynn peninsula, Welcoming, hot tub great, cottage had everything required and bed was super comfortable. Highly Recommend.
We absolutely loved our 5 days away, the cottage and surroundings perfect. We will return in the future.
Beautiful little place to stay, felt like a home away from home. Absolutely beautiful location and exactly as described. Great location to visit Wales and the hot tub was fabulous. Will stay again!
Our stay was absolutely fantastic! Everything we wanted to make our Christmas extra special! The cottage was warm and cosy. Everything there we needed. Clean and tidy and all decked out for the festive season. The owner was ever so friendly and ran is through everything we needed to know! Couldnt recommend this place enough to anyone wanting a home from home experience in a picture perfect location. Will be booking again!! Thanks for making us feel welcome and our Christmas magical!
Very comfortable stay, with everything you need. thankyou
Thoroughly enjoyable stay at Cegin Foch where host, Arwel, provided excellent information about the area with recommendations on places to visit. Lovelly views and walks from the cottage, and the hot tub was a real treat.

We really enjoyed our week in Cegin Foch. It is a great base for exploring the beautiful Llyn Peninsula. We visited Llanbedrog, Abersoch, Cricceth, the Rabbit Farm etc but it was really nice to come back and enjoy the peace and quiet of the cottage and to chill in the hot tub with a drink. The cottage is lovely and cosy with a beautiful sea view from the mezzanine level. Also, the WiFi is good too, so our 10 year old was happy! There is also a communal garden area with kids games. The owner lives next door and was really friendly. We will definitely stay here again.

Cegin Foch, a beautiful cottage in a wonderful secluded area. Fully equipped for the perfect getaway. An old stone cottage meets modern day living with great WiFi and a modern kitchen with all mod cons. The owners live on site and are so friendly and informative. We visited 66 of their recommendations to visit, including Portmerion book online and arrive about 9am for the best experience, Black Rock Sands drive your car on the beach, Ty Coch Inn great food and charming place, the Church in the Sea at Anglesey, loved it, and it's a 20 min pretty walk to the local beach. At the end of each day we relaxed in the spotlessly clean hot tub. We had an amazing week here and would highly recommend, we hope to return.
The shared garden is not dog secure, which is worth bearing in mind if you book Cegin Foch as there is only a very small patio area for the dogs to use. The cottage itself is very dog friendly and the owner, who met us on arrival, was keen to point this out. We were shown how to operate the hot tub, and given a very helpful list of must see places to go with the dogs we visited them all! Nothing was too much trouble, anything we asked for or needed help with got a very quick response. Would definitely recommend, although if you have large dogs we have two greyhounds one of the other properties on site with a larger garden might be a better option
Loved the stay walked to the beach a few times it took about half an hour the dogs loved it . The scenery is absolutely beautiful we visited a few beaches that was almost empty so the dogs could run around . The owner of the cottage was very good he give us a few places to go and places to eat only went in the hot tub for 20 mins as the weather was not very good but the owner made our week he was a lovely man.
A lovely little cottage in a perfect location. The owners were always on site and available if needed
Great location and easy walks from the door. Very disappointing outdoor space and lack of information and instructions.

This was such a peaceful place to stay, views amazing. the accommodation was just as Id hoped. And close by for all beaches on the peninsula. So doggies had a fabulous time. Plenty of room for the dog crates too. The hot tub water was changed and fresh for us, and the owner came by to show us what to do, and answer any questions. Want to book again for next year.
We loved staying at Cegin Foch. It's a beautiful location and the cottage was homely. Really comfy bed and sofa and a lovely quiet area. There was no info. folder so we had to ask lots of questions. The hosts were really helpful, but we usually prefer to be more selfsufficient. That said, we had some great chats. Some basic info. re. local walks etc. would be useful, e.g. route to the sea.

Lovely cottage. Very clean . Owners very helpful and approachable. Secure for dogs. Well located for touring the area
Fantastic holiday, both comfortable and homely in a stunningly isolated plot of land. Even in the bleak February cold, we were able to sit in the hottub and take in the stars that we rarely get to see at home. Our 3 year old loved being able to see the sea from the sky light aswell as the trains going by. The owners were fantastic, always happy to help and the home itself was perfect for the three of us and our dog. WiFi never failed which is always great. If we're ever back in North Wales, this is where we'll stay

Having visited North Wales many times we are so glad we stumbled on the cottages, having decided on a last minute break! The cottages are in a wonderful spot, all have their own individual decor but all equally charming! Fantastic, kind owners! We look forward to visiting again!

Just stayed here with my daughter and elderly mum It was a lovely cottage and very comfortable in a good location The hot tub was wonderful The only down side was it took a while to heat up initially so would of been better if heating had been out on the day before arrival
Lovely place and comfortable. Welcoming host. Great hot tub and safe enclosed garden which was good for the dog. Would definitely book again. Suggestions that are meant as constructive criticism. The directions were not very clear perhaps better if you say turn left after the butchers as in the dark the bridge cant be seen. The very late check in at 5.30 meant it was dark on arrival. We had to check the name of each property before finding ours. Some arrows would be helpful. An instruction book would be helpful. It wasnt obvious where the router was. The heating wasnt turned on, each one was switched off at the wall and it wasnt obvious how to work them. It was quite cold when we arrived and the place took a while to heat up. It would have been good if it had been turned on before our arrival. We also had problems with the hob. The owner was very friendly and helpful but it would have been useful to have instructions rather than having to call on him.

What a beautiful cottage in a lovely setting. Really clean and tidy throughout. The cottage has everything you need for it to feel like home from home! It's close to lots of towns to visit and there are some great walks for the dogs right on the door step too. The hot tub was always at a good consistent temperature and clean, so it was great for unwinding after a day out adventuring! Wonderful stay, I would definitely recommend it!
Lovely cottage in small complex. Ideal position for walking either in the country or to the beach, our dog was made welcome which is always a plus. We were made welcome by Arwen not sure of spelling who was very helpful but not intrusive. The hot tub was a bonus which we loved. Having not been to the Llyn peninsula before it was a great base, easy enough to get to both sides of the peninsula. We had the two bedroomed cottage which was plenty big enough, the only downside for us was it could have done with a little more room outside but on balance having the hot tub made up for it. We would certainly stay there again. Thanks Arwen for providing a lovely holiday cottage and brilliant weather!
Lovely cottage, beautiful sea views and decor and stargazing at night in the private hot tub was a bonus! The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. Set in a beautiful part of Wales. Would definitely stay again!!
Cottage is perfect, everything you need and more, owners are fantastic and so friendly. Would highly recommend!

Delightful cottage with super views. Hot tub is lovey. Owners next door so helpful. Well stocked kitchen. Great views. Super area for walking nearby and you can walk to the beach.
My husband and I enjoyed everything about our holiday and accommodation. The owners were very welcoming and friendly, they are also very helpful. Highly recommend and we would definitely go again.
Stephanie
Fantastic location yet local to areas of outstanding beauty. Brilliant wifi access too. Felt look after from the moment of arriving to the moment of leaving. Thank you. We really enjoyed our stay with you and will be back
Cottage was beautiful in a stunning setting. The owner was extremely friendly and always around for anything we needed. Even though the owner was on the same site, you had your privacy which was perfect. Got tub was also amazing and will certainly be returning. Plenty to do and see locally
Melissa
Cegin Foch is a really lovely cottage with the owners being very friendly and available during the stay. The cottage is nice and cosy with the hot tub being a nice bit of luxury, especially as where the cottage is located you get amazing views of the stars. It was lovely to be able to see the sun riseset out the bedroom window with a beautiful sea view too. Would definitely recommend this cottage. The only thing I would say is be prepared for the driveway to the cottage as it is a track rather than a road, with lots of pot holes, but well worth it when you arrive.
Lovely area, great little cottage and had a really nice chilled out time away. Thankyou
Christine
