Gorwel Deg Reviews

The holiday property was lovely. We really enjoyed our stay. It was immaculately clean, warm and comfy with lots of personal touches, like the Christmas Tree for our New Year stay. A lovely surprise was the homemade scones and prosecco left as a welcome gift. The hot tub was an extra bonus which the children loved even in the rainy weather. Thank you Arwel & Delyth

Beautiful property in an ideal location for exploring North Wales. The views from the cottage are stunning. The hosts were amazing! From booking to leaving we felt truly and warmly welcomed, without the feeling of being intrusive in any which way. The homemade scones, Prosecco and well stocked condiments were a lovely and very well received touch. The hot tub was a wonderful way to end busy days of exploration. Thank you
Gorwel Deg is a fabulous comfortable property in a lovely area of Wales. The house was supplied with everything we needed and more and the hosts provided a delicious welcome pack. We enjoyed using the hot tub. We would highly recommend booking this great holiday house.
Fantastic property, well presented, comfortable with all you need for cooking and entertainment. This includes good WiFi, smart tv, smart speakers 2 , seating for 6 throughout including deck outside. The hot tub was ready for us day 1 and was a welcome feature, especially with Snowdonia mountains providing the back drop. Fresh scones, jam, cream and Prosseco , spread and even ice greeted us. Thanks to the generous owners who clearly know the business. Can't wait for the return.
A lovely, well presented house with fabulous views. We had a wonderful week at Gorwel Deg. On arrival we found fresh scones, jam, cream and Prosecco to enjoy as we sat on the terrace enjoying the spectacular scenery and amazing sunset. The hot tub was used everyday, especially after our adventures which included the zip wire, Zip World can be seen from the house and climbing Snowdon which is a short drive away. The house has an interesting, quirky layout, it seems really big with the two staircases and the living room upstairs with that amazing view. It had everything we needed. The beds were comfy with gorgeous bedding. The bathrooms were modern and clean, fabulous shower. The kitchen is a good size and had all we needed to cook a meal. The WiFi signal is good. The owners live next door and respond quickly to any questionsissues. It was such a great holiday, we were very lucky with such fabulous weather Thank you Arwel & Delyth

Lovely property, views are amazing. The cottage is very well looked after and having small things like hand wash, toilet roll and condiments supplied is a nice touch, lots of cottages weve stayed at dont have this. Top quality.
Beautiful, wellequipped holiday cottage with stunning views. Perfect holiday stay for the whole family with wonderful welcome touches from Delyth and Arwen to make guests feel right at home. Lovely walks in and around Bethesda and a short drive to more in Yr Wydda Snowdon, castles, beaches, lakes and the fastest zip wire in the world!

Gorwel Deg is a beautiful House for a great holiday. The property was spotless spacious & very cosy with everything we needed for our stay. The scones were very appreciated & delicious. The views from the balcony were beautiful & the location was perfect for exploring the surrounding area & anglesey. The owners were also friendly & very helpful. We would definately reccommend this property to anyone.
The house is still immaculate 18 months after our first visit. Very comfy, good beds and showers and equipped with everything we need for complete self catering and to manage all our muddy hiking and cycling gear! Gorgeous sunsets from the balcony and patio and fascinating views over the town and valley and across to the quarry and Zipworld and the hills around. A fabulous base for walkinghiking more gentle and sheltered walks around the village and valley, beautiful walks on the many footpaths around the local hills and big hikes on the Carneddi and Glyder mountains with stunning views across Snowdonia and the North coastAnglesey, the area being almost as high as Snowdon but very much more peaceful! Good tracks and bridleways for offroad cycling toodown to the coast and up the valley to Llyn Ogwen lake and beyond. A great place to stay and worthy of repeated visits to explore the whole area.
Great view from balcony, peaceful location, good base for touring area. Lovely clean house with hot tub, three bedrooms and upstairs lounge. Tesco in town, but welcome basket and useful condiments available on arrival. Would recommend. We like to relax generally with a few hours out in a castle or beach, but zip world and lots of walks nearby for more active holiday makers.
The cottage is superb with everything you could possibly need. The scones on arrival were a lovely touch. We loved the hot tub which made coming back from our days out a lovely treat. Spacious for our large family. Our girls loved all the jigsaws too.
Had a fantastic stay. The house is lovely and has everything that you need for your stay. The views are amazing and the hot tub is an added bonus.
Lovely property with very helpful owners, and the few goodies left for us in property at start were really appreciated. The property was clean, is spacious and just what you want on a holiday. The hot tub was great and was used every night. The owners were very helpful. They also left a few goodies to get our holiday started. There's some nice walks in the hills above the property and Penrhyn Castle a few minutes away is an amazing house, definitely under sold by the National Trust.

We've loved it there, there's a lot to do around and the owners are lovely. The house was very clean and we enjoyed our stay very much!
The house was perfect. We loved the quirky layout, the fixtures and fittings were all high quality and there was everything we needed and more!. All the views from the house are beautiful. The location was a great base for exploring North Wales, including Anglesey. The owners live next door and were very helpful, even arranging birthday balloons for our daughter.
George
Absolutely beautiful property with stunning views from the deck. Amazingly well kitted out with everything you could possibly need for a nice stay. Property was beautifully clean, furnished very tastefully and cosy. The hot tub was also perfect after a day out walking to relax in and has a beautiful view of the Penrhyn Quarry to enjoy while you relax. You can tell the owners really care about this place and have gone the extra mile to ensure guests feel welcome and have a great time.
This is a lovely house with great views over the valley. It was very clean and had everything you need for a comfortable stay.
Great place, amazing views, hot tub was amazing, nice and clean house well equipped with everting you could need all in all really enjoy our holiday and will be hopefully booking again soon! ..
Lovely place to stay. We all had a fabulous holiday. Plenty of place to take the kids to see. Great place to relax after a day out very comfortable.
We had a lovely week staying at Gorwel Deg. The property was just as it looks on the website. It was well presented, well maintained, well equipped and very clean. It felt really special with things like the furnishings and the hot tub but at the same time felt like a home from home and was really comfy, and we loved the quirky design which we all had lots of fun exploring when we arrived. It was so central to everything and everywhere in north Wales and the scenery from it was stunning. The sunsets and the cloud formations were amazing. Topped off with the welcome when we arrived of basic food necessities such as tea, coffee, milk and margarine and the extras of scones, cream and jam we dont drink so we didnt drink the Prosecco made a lovely finishing touch. We would whole hearted recommend this property to anyone.
Danielle
The holiday home was a great base for exploring about 30mins drive from most places. The house itself was spacious, clean and comfortable. The hot tub and view are amazing! Perfect for relaxing after a busy day of activities. I would definitely stay again.
Best cottage we've stayed in. All other holidays have taken some cleaning by us before we even begin our holidays!! Very quirky layout and anyone tall will have to mind their heads in a couple of areas! The house is beautifully done, everything is the best quality, beds, matresses, joules bedding, a pile of towels each, kitchenware etc. Very clean throughout including all the kitchenware and utensils. The things we always take to a self catering holiday were provided, teatowels, salt, pepper, sauces, vinager, oil, tea, coffee, sugar, hot chocolate, sweetener, hand wash, washing up liquid, cleaning cloth and sponge, margarine, hair dryer in ech bedroom. The homemade scones with cream, jam and proseco were fabulous! Hot tub was a lovely addition after long days of walking. Gorwel Deg is perfectly sited to visit all the places you'd want to around this area. You can see the zip wire from the lounge and terrace and the mountain views are beautiful. Owners only next door which was nice to know if we needed anything. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we will definitely be back again.
Lovely property in a great location with everything provided you could ever need for an enjoyable break. Very nice and helpful owners.

Absolutely fantastic week at Gorwel Deg. Arrived to homemade scones and prosecco which we ate on the balcony looking at the incredible view. It felt cosy and welcoming and had everything needed for a weeks stay with pots, pans, and towels! Perfect location to hike around Snowdonia, which is topped off with a relaxing evening in the hot tub. Will definitely visit again if we are up in the area, thank you.
Gillian
A really comfortable cottage for our stay in North Wales. It is well equipped and was a home from home. The complimentary goodies were a very welcome touch. The hosts were extremely helpful with regards to information. We made use of the hot tub on the decking, which was much appreciated after a day out walking!
A lovely spacious house that was perfect for us, a real home from home. The welcome pack was a big surprise and the owners were so helpful and friendly. The views from the house were spectacular and we would thoroughly recommend staying here.
Stephanie
Lovely cottage very clean excellent base for walking Snowdon. Hosts were excellent very accommodating & left amazing homemade scones in welcome pack. Views from the cottage were beautiful especially when in the not tub. Really well equipped & furnished to high standard. Will definitely be back.
Beautiful property, with lovely welcoming hosts. Every detail had been thought of and it is exceptionally clean throughout. Our whole group were very happy with the stay, loved every minute and the girls particularly loved the lay out and of course the hot tub. The amazing welcome basket of goodies and home baked scones was such a lovely added bonus and very much enjoyed by all. Overall a beautiful base to explore all North Wales and Snowdonia has to offer. Thanks to the lovely owners
A highly presentable, functional and located property for an enjoyable stay in this beautiful area. A lovely welcome with homemade scones which were promptly consumed, yum yum. Well thought itinerary of items in the house. Interesting layout with enough 'own space' if needed. It was fun to go back down memory lane with a classic games compendium and of course, the hot tub was an enjoyable way to end the day. Wifi connection was strong throughout the house and allowed one of us to attend online work meetings. The owners were easy to contact by text, friendly, helpful and made you feel at ease. I could not fault this stay but we are easy to please. A home away from home. Well done Delyth and Arwel.
Myself and my boyfriend had booked to stay at this beautiful property for a long weekend birthday celebration as it was the perfect location to explore the surrounding areas. This house boasts its beautiful views of Snowdonia as well as being a 5 minute drive from Zipworld which we had prebooked. The cleanliness and attention to detail was exceptional and made this property feel luxurious with an outside jacuzzi being a very welcomed addition after a long day of hiking. Every need had been catered for and both Arwel and Delyth were friendly, attentive hosts which made our stay that much more enjoyable. We cannot wait to return and we will be thoroughly recommending to all. Thank you both to Arwel and Delyth again for such a fantastic stay we didnt want to leave!
We had the most amazing stay at this fabulous property. It is spotlessly clean, beautifully situated with stunning views and really thoughtfully and well equipped. The location is perfect for exploring so many different areas can't recommend it highly enough!
I dont think Ive ever stayed anywhere so clean and Ive stayed in some very expensive hotels! It was well decorated, cosy and extremely well equipped. So much thought has gone into this holiday home. The cottage is well situated for exploring the mountains and beaches of north wales and theres lots to do for all ages. The mountain views are breathtaking and having a hot tub, decked outdoor dining area and conservatory to enjoy them is a lovely touch. The owners were really welcoming and helpful. We couldnt ask for more, and had a lovely holiday. We will certainly be back to climb snowdon and enjoy the views again!
Absolutely fabulous stay! I highly recommend. The owners are the perfect hosts, nothing was too much trouble and they ensured we had everything we could possibly need! The property is cleaned to a very high standard and the care and attention, particularly to Covid regulations, is amazing. A 5 minute walk from the property allows you to join on the Welsh Slate Trail, its 89 miles long but you just turn round when your ready. This includes breathtaking views! There is a bus down the road owners kindly provided times in the welcome book, and there are many wonderful walks in nearby Anglesey! The hot tub is a perfect addition, no matter what the weather is yes we even enjoyed it in the rain! and is throughly enjoyable. The picturesque hills in the background makes it so special!! The property also includes a washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher! These are great additions which helped with washing dishes and ensured we could get all of our washing done rather than returning home with a suitcase full! The decor in the property is lovely! A fabulous taste and very modern. There are so many utensils in the kitchen, and its clear that the kitchen accessoriestoilet accessories are a top quality good brand! The WiFi was fabulous, never once lost connection and a fantastic speed. The TV was great, and access to streaming services included! There are so many personal touches which the owners have done, a little gifts left for us. This shows the clear compassion that the owners have, showing this is not just a business to them. The little welcome gifts including homemade cake!, the dishwasher & washing machine tablets, and the little chocolates which were left just show how much genuine care, time and passion that they put into the place. I would highly recommend this stay, and wouldnt hesitate to stay here again. The previous reviews and pictures persuaded us to stay here, and I wanted to further support these and ensure prospecting holidaymakers that you wont regret this decision! Thank you so much Arwel and Delyth for having us, you should be so proud of the fabulous holiday home you have made! Diolch
Lovely cottage, had a great time. Very good location for walking & visiting, and the house is so nice that a couple of rainy days were welcome so that we could enjoy just being indoors. We'd definitely go again.
