Apple Tree Lodge At Talgarth Reviews

Kyle
Great location and facilities were exactly what we were looking for. Views from the property were fantastic and there is even a stream at the bottom of the garden. A bit hard to find, and a walk down some steps with all your baggage from the car, but overall a great property.
Helen
Lovely, tranquil orchard setting for this well appointed, spacious accommodation. Great location for walkers and outdoor activities this place also boasts a hot tub to relax in. The village shops provide all the necessaries (food, chemist, butcher/deli, pubs) all within five minutes walk. A very private and calm retreat to get away from it all but Read moretv and Wi-Fi available for those that cant let go. Hide

Gorgeous, unique property that we thoroughly enjoyed staying at. Nestled within an apple orchard with a lovely wood fired hot tub to enjoy during our stay. Peaceful setting with the sound of the stream and an abundance of wildlife to catch a glimpse of too. The property was clean and well presented and had all we required for a week long stay and w as a good base for exploring the area. The local shop just a minutes walk was great for stocking up through the week too.
Katherine
The lodge is set within a pretty orchard, in a quiet location, with easy access to the local shops. Would highly recommend Talgarth, which we found to be a lovely and friendly place.
Katherine
We had a lovely stay. Such a wonderful location and we really liked the lodge. Thank you for a wonderful place to holiday - we hope to return before too long
Benedict
Apple Tree Lodge is stunning, the perfect place to switch off. The attention to detail is excellent. We had a wonderful time, it was a wrench to go out for the day to explore but well worth it - there are lots of walks and activities nearby, plenty of great places to eat and the local shops were well stocked. We are already planning our return trip
Claire
We had a wonderful stay at Apple Tree Lodge and have recommended it to friends and family. It had everything we needed and more. We stayed following some snow and waking up looking out onto the snow/ frosted garden was just beautiful. The beds are very comfortable, and the shower was great. This is a beautiful part of Wales with so many places to v enture nearby if you love the outdoors.
Pauline
We very much enjoyed our stay at Apple tree lodge and Talgarth. The Christmas bottle of champagne was a very welcome surprise and came to good use while enjoying the hot tub. We felt the lodge was well equipped and liked the little details such as washing and dishwasher sachets/tablets, plenty of hooks, towels for the hot tub, plenty of kitchen ute nsils, bags for separating rubbish, plenty of wood and fire starter, good lighting outside (sensors).
Holly
The perfect lodge for a little hiking holiday! It was beautiful and we enjoyed snowy views from inside the lodge, watching sunsets, sunrises and the little birds eating the apples from the trees. We loved it so much and really enjoyed the village it was close to. It had everything we needed and was completely perfect. Would definitely return.
Cara
A great property. Good location to explore the Brecon Beacons. We will certainly be back
Kerry
We had a fabulous time at apple tree cottage, modern, clean, quirky and good to see so many environmentally friendly options for the cottage. The cottage is well designed and has been well thought about. Little touches like the little lights on the staircase and lights leading your way to the front door. Cottage was lovely and clean and the kitchen is well equipped. Be patient with the WiFi, it is a bit slow, but your on holiday!!! So chill
Alison
Gorgeous place to relax - beautiful part of the world, very convenient being in Talgarth. Very stylish and comfortable place, and opening the huge sliding doors onto a view of trees in the sunshine is so lovely. Highly recommended.
Simon
We recently stayed as a family at Apple Tree Lodge for a week and were delighted with the accommodation. The setting was gorgeous and Talgarth was an excellent base for exploring the Brecon Beacons. We even managed to use the hot tub after a bit of trial and error in getting the fire going. The only minor gripe would be that, during the hight tempe ratures, the lodge gets extremely hot due to all the glazing - it might be wise to supply more than one fan for the entire building.
Darren
This modern eco lodge is situated in a great village that has all that you need for a comfortable stay. Talgarth is 2 mins down the hill from the lodge and has a Coop and a fabulous ice cream shop that we went to most days. Here you can see 20 or so Red Kites overhead - stunning. Nearby 'Honey Cafe' is a must for breakfast with striking views. It i s also a great base for walking parts of the Brecon Beacons and our boys enjoyed paddle boarding at Pakwood, Dolygaer.
Julie
It fulfilled our needs only there for the weekend for a family wedding in Brecon , loved it .
Harald
Very good cottage with good equipment. However, since we were there during a heat period, there was no sun protection for the terrace. Likewise, sun protection would be useful for the large windows.
Barbara
Overall the cottage is wonderful with use of a hot tub and in a lovely location. Perhaps there should be a gate at the top of the steps to prevent the dogs from going up near the cars. I would recommend the property because hopefully it was just a blip with the cleanliness.
Janet
A lovely property in a lovely location. The property is decorated to a high standard and very comfortable beds/bedding it was spotlessly clean. The location was lovely and it felt we we far from home but only an hour away. The only difficulty was the access for my elderly mother as the steps down were a struggle for her. Would highly recommend.
Harry
Beautiful setting, such a peaceful place to relax and unwind.
Sam
The lodge was beautiful and very comfortable. The location was amazing as were the views. The only disappointment was the log fired hot tub. We were unable to get the fire to stay alight even after following the instructions provided. Even if we did get it to stay alight it would take up to 6 hours to heat up. Was not aware if this when we booked.
Renata
Wonderful place to stay and relax. View from the giant windows very nice and calming. Hot tub experience amazing. I recommend this place!!
Aiste
A beautiful cottage !!! Very cosy and in a great location. We had a lovely time staying in Talgarth and would recommend it to our friends and family. Thank you
Lucy
We have just got back from a fantastic weekend at Apple Tree Lodge. Louise couldn't have been more helpful with any queries that we had and communicating with us. The property is fantastic as is the hot tub. We will definitely be back.
Alan
Very comfortable little cabin set in a gorgeous village within the boundaries of the Brecon Beacons which offers amazing walks and scenery. If you have young children the lay out of the cabin could be challenging coupled with the lack of basic equipment for a young child means that it would suit slightly older families.
Glenn
A beautiful lodge in a perfect location. The hot tub was welcome. Wildlife in the garden was an added bonus. Would definitely recommend it to my friends.
Sarah
A beautiful holiday cottage in a gorgeous location, which was perfect for my daughters 18th birthday celebrations. We enjoyed walking from the cottage, coffee and cake in the bakery cafe, going to the local deli, exploring the river and using the hot tub. The kitchen was well equipped and we even made Sunday dinner for four. Communication was fanta stic and all queries dealt with promptly. We would definitely book again. Thank you
Selene
Apple Tree Lodge was the most perfect staycation. The lodge was beautiful and provided a much needed serene and peaceful getaway. My partner and I enjoyed ourselves so much and could definitely make visiting the lodge a yearly thing. Louise was super friendly and helpful. Overall, it was an incredible stay.
Bethaney
Perfect pit stop for our walking adventures. The hot tub was a great bonus after a day of walking! The lodge was great and we are looking forward to return in the future.
Christian
Cosy lodge with all the appliances you require except for no WiFi. Lovely views. Relaxing with lots of birds of prey to watch and identify. The hot tub is a lovely feature but takes a long time to heat up.
