Cwmcelyn Reviews

Our Experience was Amazing. Excellent location. The property was amazing. Every convenience was available at the property. Sian was extremely helpful and very professional. Our only complaint was were only had a week!
Chantelle
Excellent quality, quiet and peaceful, everything is provided especially kitchen items and cleaning items. Comfy beds
The most comfortable beds we have ever slept in. Charming property & very quiet. Loved looking out at the sheep & rabbits every day. The surrounding area is beautiful with so many great walks.
Anthony
Lovely property with a delightful view. All of the home comforts you need on a a stay. Very well placed for visiting the surrounding area. We would definitely stay again.
Darren
Really nice place and would definitely recommend this to anyone, Mid Wales is a lovely places to stay as well.
Hidden Treasure! Our family have had one week holiday, and we loved every second. The farmhouse has everything you need. The cottage is spotless, extremely well equipped with the comfortable beds, and its been very relaxing time sitting on the patio with glass of cold drinks and watching beautiful views and later jump in the hot tub. Many thanks to Sian and family for making our stay comfortable and in our arrival we have been spoiled with bottle of wine, coffee, tea, and local Welsh biscuits and chocolate cake! Thank you very much for your hospitality, and we will back soon! With kind regards Gunta and family

The farmhouse was of the highest standard and was surrounded by superb views with Red Kite's flying over on a regular basis. There was a fabulous large hot tub enjoyed by all especially the kids. Would definitely visit again
The standard of presentation and cleanliness of the property are excellent, with everything we could possibly need having been thought of and catered for. The location is remote and tranquil, yet convenient for visiting the attractions in the local area, and the stunning views were breathtaking. The garden area, swings and slide were a big hit with the little ones and really added to the enjoyment of the holiday, as did the hot tub. Sian was an excellent host, the Welsh treats and advice were really appreciated. We had a wonderful week and would certainly stay here again.
The property and area are perfect very peaceful and beautiful. Lovely inside and out and the sheltered hot tub is grand. We had the perfect week here and didn't want to leave. We'll definitely be returning.
Lovely cottage and hot tub. Beautiful scenery with added lambs and rabbits. Ev charging point a definite advantage .
Lovely well maintained property. Had everything you could have needed. Sian was fantastic, really helpful. Location is beautiful. Nice and secluded. Saw red kites most days at the property flying over to the local feeding station. Would definitely go back.
We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay at this lovely holiday cottage, situated on a working sheep farm. Sian, the hostowner, was clearly deeply invested in doing everything she possibly could to ensure that we had a good holiday. We received a welcome pack on arrival, complimentary toiletries, and the hot tub was ready to jump into. There was a lot of attention to detail. We particularly liked that there was bird food provided to top up the garden feeders the very tame robins liked that very much too! The views from the cottage are beautiful and looked magical after snow fell for two days. We couldn't have wished for a better place to hunker down. Sian reached out to ensure we were ok when it turned wintery and to let us know that we only needed to reach out to her if we needed anything. The local red kite feeding station at Rhayader was a fantastic experience, and the Elan Valley walks start within a 10minute drive of the property. It is a fantastic base for exploring that area of Wales. We look forward to returning.
Wow! what can I say this place is a little gem! We met Sian at the property who is lovely and showed us around the place. The cottage is beautiful it has absolutely everything you need and was spotlessly clean. The beds are so comfy did not want to get out of it in the morning, views amazing, hot tub was amazing, we had two BBQs during our time there even though it was December it was fab! and my boys were delighted there was a football goal in the garden. Shopsrestaurantscafes are a five minutes drive away loads to things to do locally. We will definitely return to this place this year at some point and are really looking forward to it.

The property is well equipped in the kitchen even cleaning products etc. Beautiful cosy homely feel. There was a bbq outside, play area for the children. Hot tub was a plus after our day trips out. Warmly welcome by the owner. Already recommended to family & friends.

Stayed over 4 nights, was absolutely perfect.
Brilliant stay at the property. house was very comfortable and well thought out. we had everything we could possibly need to hand. Really comfy beds and super hot tub. Real bonus for us was an electric car charging point as there are very few in the local area. definitely recommend.
Beautiful cottage and location. Owner Sian was very welcoming.
Manisha
Brilliant location and absolutely gem of a find. Loved it so much. Kids didn't want to come back home.
Samantha
We had a fabulous long weekend and cant recommend enough. Sian was just so lovely and the house is amazing in the most beautiful location. A perfect base for exploring the area. Then coming back to the fab hot tub. We cant wait to book again soon.
Hayley
A very warm welcome from the host Sian. Explained everything fully about the house so we knew how to use things straight away. Well equipped kitchen and lovely local products in the welcome pack. As a group of 6 adults I think the house would be more suited to 45 adults or a family with children. Great base for nearby nature attractions. The hot tub was the best I've used so far. Overall a great holiday.
Jessica
We had an amazing stay Nov 2021 at Cwmcelyn location is stunning and Sian is a fabulous host! Property was spotless, views were incredible and location was great. We came for a break away as a couple and enjoyed cycling Elan Valley is a must! Sian gives great recommendations for cycling and walking routes, as well things to see and places to go. Hot tub was brilliant! Couldnt recommend more, thank you Sian and family!
Maggie
Spotless, well equipped, comfortable beds and very very CLEAN. Beautiful location and well worth the stay. Would definitely recommend
The house and views are beautiful. The bed we stayed in was so comfortable, the perfect holiday. Already booked to return!
A lovely cottage in a private setting and with stunning views. We couldn't have asked for more.
Sian, the cottage owner was lovely and extremely helpful. Have stayed at cottage before and always had a lovely experience. Only one minor issue I and my sister found the pillows on our beds very firm and not very comfortable but that is a matter of personal taste.
Michelle
Had a really relaxing stay at this well equipped farm house. Had everything we needed and waking to the sound of the sheep was perfect. Would definitely return if looking to return to the same part of the country.
The holiday cottage was fantastic clean, modern and well equipped. We were there for a week as a family. Our young children could play outside all day, safely in a large fenced garden. For us having the swings and slide was really useful. The views are amazing and so was having private use of the hot tub. Great views of the stars at night too! We spent most of our time just relaxing around the cottage as it was so peaceful, with just sheep in adjacent fields. Sian, our host, was always available if we contacted her and was lovely and helpful. We will certainly return!
House was beautiful and had everything you could ever need. Hot tub was lovely and the views are stunning. Would definately return and have already been recomending to family and friends. Owner is so warm and welcoming
Fantastic property and the owner was very helpful
The cottage was wonderful and had everything you needed to make your stay perfect. My only disappointment was that there didnt appear to be any public footpathswalking trails directly from the cottage. We did go through the fields but not really sure that was allowed as it is private land.
Michelle
Absolutely enjoyed our mini break here and it was just as needed. The Lodge was fantastic and had everything and more that we needed and was in such a quiet and peaceful location. Thank you very much.
The cottage was beautiful. Very well equipped and plenty of information about the local area. The views are lovely and the hot tub is perfect for relaxing after a busy day of exploring. We all really enjoyed our week in this cottage.
Kirsty
We stayed at this holiday cottage for a week from 31st August with our 2 boys aged 7
We have just got back from a wonderful stay here at Cwmcelyn, truly the most peaceful and beautiful place I have yet to stay in Wales. The Cottage was immaculate and exceeded our expectations 100. Some lovely walks just on the door step also. Hot Tub was just a brilliant added bonus, nothing better than sitting relaxing in there watching the sun go down! Sian was a wonderful host, her homemade Bara Brith was certainly a lovely welcome. We hope to be back again!
Shannon
The house was perfect, all the facilities and appliances are in top condition. The most beautiful views and lovely remote location.
Great location, beautiful views, cottage is best equipped we have stayed in so far. The Jacuzzi was great, for the views and back massaging powers. Wet room was good showers in both bathrooms were very good and powerful. Beds super comfy. Owners left a lovely homemade Bara brith, and we're very welcoming. We all had a lovely relaxing, although we walked miles in the Elan valley, time. Would highly recommend.
Nicola
Beautiful property, stunning views and we loved the hot tub!
Michaela
