Whilst on holiday in the Isle of Wight, there are a number of food items you must try. The island is known for crab and other seafood as well as cream tea but also produces a number of other food products which are some of the best in the country. This includes tomatoes which grow well due to the excellent climate that the island offers, crab pasty, black garlic, honeycomb doughnut which is a very delicious sweet treat, asparagus which is grown on the island, new potatoes and beef and ale pie. For foodies, the Isle of Wight is a fantastic place to try a wide range of delicious food and drink products. Cream tea is particularly popular in the Southwest of England and has many tearooms and cafes where you can enjoy cream tea served with local produce on the island!

The Isle of Wight is a great family holiday destination and has lots of attractions to enjoy on family days out. Blackgang Chine is a theme park that opened in 1843 making it the oldest amusement park in the UK. With a number of themed lands, rides for all ages and dogs allowed on leads, this is a brilliant day out for the whole family. The Isle of Wight Zoo is another family-friendly attraction on the Isle of Wight. Set in an old fort with views of Sandown beach, the Isle of Wight Zoo has a wide variety of animals from tigers, lions and lemurs to monkeys, farm animals and many more. This is a fun place to visit with the whole family where you can learn more about animals and enjoy animal experiences.

For Couples
The Isle of Wight is a lovely place to visit for a romantic break. Couples can make the most of the peaceful location and enjoy quality time together in one of the many cottages spread throughout the island. For active couples, you can make the most of the coastal locations. Explore by foot or two wheels and enjoy a pit stop at a café or pub. The Isle of Wight has some fantastic pubs, restaurants and bars, perfect for date night. And for the ultimate romantic evening, why not pack a picnic and watch the sunset on one of the many beaches on the island.

Why Dog Lovers Will Like This Area
The Isle of Wight is very dog-friendly. They are welcome on most beaches throughout the island making it a fantastic holiday destination for the whole family. Throughout the county, there are many pubs, cafes and shops which are dog-friendly. For dog walks, there are several beaches where you can take your four-legged friend at any time of the year. This includes Bembridge beach, Seagrove beach, Whitecliffe Bay, Brook Bay and Alum Bay. Other places you can take your pooch in the Isle of Wight include Robin Hill Country Park and Carisbrooke Castle. Your furry friend can also go to Blackgang Chine amusement park, but I don’t think they’ll like the rollercoasters!

Shanklin Chine – A must-see natural landmark in the Isle of Wight, Shanklin Chine is a beautiful place to visit. The wooded ravine has waterfalls, trees and amazing plants with footpaths and walkways so visitors can explore. At night, there are colourful lights so make sure you visit after dusk as well as during the day.

Needles Chairlift – The Needles is an impressive row of three stacks of chalk in the English Channel off the coast of the Isle of Wight. There is also a lighthouse standing at the end of the chalk stacks. This area is popular with tourists who visit for views of the Needles. There are a number of attractions to enjoy on your day out including the Needles chairlift which is the best way to see this famous landmark. The chairlift takes visitors from the top of Alum Bay cliffs to the beach below providing magnificent views of the Needles Rocks and Lighthouse.
