The Stable Reviews

We absolutely loved our stay at The Stable. The owners were so welcoming, kind and helpful even with our extremely late arrival. The accommodation was lovely and really nice quality. We spent hours in both the games room and hot tub. Both an amazing addition. The laundry room was very helpful if you have a football mad youngster with you who absolutely loved the goal and mini football pitch out the back. This accommodation really had so many added extras for us that it made it our best holiday to date. That coupled with the incredible local beauty, breath taking scenery and abundance of wildlife. We were in our element. Hope we can visit again soon.

Could not have asked for more lovely location, fantastic views.
Everything was as expected. Owners very hospitable helpful and approachable.
I had stayed at the farmhouse 4 years ago with a large group, so this was a place i knew already. Everyone was so helpful and friendly, and made you feel at home. The cottage was just right, especially with dogs, and had eberything I needed.I did book my next break whilst there, so will be returning in May to the Stable. Highly recommended if you just need peace and quiet, but within easy reach of so many lovely places .
Excellent base for getting about. Owner very friendly and helpful. Lovely local walks from the cottage. Thoroughly enjoyed our week.
Belinda
A great place to stay, with absolutely breathtaking views. The owners have created a home from home with lots of facilities to take advantage of, such as the games room and pretty woodland walks on site. The Stable is well situated for exploring all that Wales has to offer, including the many wonderful beaches. We loved relaxing in the hot tub in the evening, which was the perfect way to unwind after a busy day of exploring. Our break was wonderful and we look forward to returning. Missing the scenery already.!

Excellent stay. Would highly recommend. Owners were on hand if needed but also gave you privacy. Great location. Washing machine was a bonus and dryer. Pool room could do with a bit of upkeep but the walks up to the animals and hot tub entertained us enough. Would likely go back

The best dog friendly cottage we have ever stayed at. A really secure garden so our 2 dogs could wander around whilst we relaxed in the hot tub. A field opposite to exercise the dogs. Loads of walks nearby and of course the sea and beaches. Cottage provided everything one could need. Cosy and warm. Lovely and peaceful with great views over the countryside. Will definitely be returning.
Great place and location, clean and fault free, we enjoyed our stay.
Was a lovely break for us plenty of space for the dog and little man will deffo come and stay again many thanks.
Beautiful cottage we loved every moment of our stay thank you
My family had a lovely week at these properties. We had 15 people and 6 dogs spread across the three cottages. We all loved the views from the fields of the surrounding area, the woodland walks directly from the doorstep. Andy, the owner, is onsite if you need anything and ensures any needs are met, such a friendly bloke! I would definitely recommend these properties and hope to go again with my family.

The cottage was very clean and spacious, lovely place to stay and the owners were very friendly.
Andy the owner was onsite to greet us and show us the cottage along with some great local advice and he made us feel very welcome. The cottage was amazing with the most beautiful views and everything that you could possibly need Perfectly located for lovely days out and then to return to the relaxing hot tub and garden was just perfect . We have stayed in many cottages over the years and I must say that this was one of the best. Thanks so much cant wait to return

A beautiful location, welcoming hosts and a fabulous holiday. We have just come back from a lovely week away with walks on the doorstep. Its the most dog friendly holiday we have been on which made it so much better. The hot tub and garden were amazing for the kids and the dog. The cottage has all the basics but bring anything else such as oil, salt, pepper which you may not have thought of like us. I found the bed very comfortable. We had one technical issue which was fixed straight away when we text the owners. We loved the games room and the selection of books and DVDs, it felt like we were going to Blockbusters every night. Thank you!
Lovely property and a beautiful location, only downside would be the sofa is very worn and could probably do with being replaced and the mattress too soft! ! Lovely host and great for walks with the dog and the hot tub was a bonus and very welcoming after long walks
Ishmerai
The property was very nice, pretty much exactly as advertised, with maybe a couple exceptions not being anything to do with the aesthetic of the property the kitchen could have done with a couple more basic essentials, instructions say bring tea towels which we brought along with couple of additions for making our own food but then had to go shopping for tin foilsaltpepper and oven gloves. This wasnt a massive issue as we were going into a nearby town next day for a walk. We also had to buy toilet roll as there was only half a roll in the bathroom not really enough for a couple over a long weekend at least one more would have been ideal. On the plus side, they had said that towels for the hot tub were not provided but we had two towels each which was nice even though we had brought our own. There could have been a little more contact with our hosts, though I guess as were on holiday they just wanna stay out of our way?. We werent greeted on arrival but we did get there for about 7pm so thats understandable. Though a hello the next morning wouldnt have gone amiss. Especially since there was a power cut and we had no idea who to go see about it and knocked on a couple of other doors before finding where the hosts lived. The power cut happened about 930, as we couldnt find our hosts we went about our day hoping power would come back on in the day and the stuff in the fridgefreezer would be safe this wasnt the case so when we returned about 56pm I went looking for them. If there hadnt have been a power cut this wouldnt have been an issue but we did feel someone could have knocked our door or left a note or some kind of communication. As far as facilities go everything else was on point except for the fact that the internet wasnt very fast again not really an issue as there was a cornucopia of dvds in the games room across from the cottage again a note about this would have meant wed have prepared by downloading things before arrival for our evening entertainment. Theres only so much hot tubbing one can do of an evening
Benjamin
Lovely property in a lovely location. Helpful and friendly hosts. Our little one loved seeing the farm animals and playing outside.
Andrew
Personally I would prefer a thicker mattress but slept okay on yours. ... Back doors could do with a hook on wall as on windy days they don't stay open... Games room, maybe a coat of paint inside Cornish cream or similar but great to have the facility.. Having said that, great place, loved the whole week, think the dog loved it even more, Will be recommending you to family and friends

Our first time to Aberaeron. First off the scenery to the Stable is amazing. When we arrived we were greeted by the owner Andy who was very polite and helpful. The stable is kitted out really well. Very spacious and extremely clean. The service we got was top notch by the family. There is so much to do around the area, we will be back soon and will be telling family and friends about this stunning place.
Great property in a beautiful location. The enclosed garden for my dog was great so she could have a good run round. The games room was a nice addition. There are a few things which would have made it 100 a tea towel, oven gloves, kitchen sponge, ignition to work on BBQ, a mirror in downstairs hall as that was the only place I could plug in straighteners.
Lorraine
Lovely stay at The Stable very homely and in a nice location. The Dog loved his walk in the woods and the local beaches which were in the welcome information with post codes to help is find them. Hot tub was lovely as well. I would recommend as a really nice place to stay and either relax or go out walking and exploring.
Fantastic cottage and thoroughly enjoyed our break away. Very dog friendly and felt very homely. All appliances were very clean and well equipped. The walk through the woods to the national trust property is steep but worth it! Also try the Moody Cow Bistro a short drive away, the food is amazing!!
Sharon
Really enjoyed the cosy cottage and the beautiful views, hopping to come back one day to your lovely cottages.
A fabulous holiday home in a beautiful setting. Glad we knew about the uneven lane access, we took our time on the lane, so no problem
Very good lovely accommodation and a lovely place only downside was the wi fi is poor looking forward to going back
Hannah
A beautiful property in a stunning location! Beautiful views of the hills and farm land, amazing walks down to the river autumn is a great time to go! The garden is a great size and fully fenced off so our puppy could be safe and run around silly
Lovely cottage in a rural location. Stunning views out on to the Welsh countryside. The road to the cottage was very bumpy, so not suitable if you have a lowered vehicle. But its worth it for the remote location. That said you are only 10mins drive into the beautiful Aberaeron. Cottage was well equipped with full kitchen. Floors & stairs were a little creaky but only as youd expect from a cottage. The owners live on site and were very friendly when we bumped into them. The hotub was easy to use and situated perfectly to allow you to take in the views. If you are visiting in the colder months, dont worry about being cold as the heating system was amazing, with rooms heating up almost instantly! The shower was very powerful and lovely & hot. The garden was fully enclosed so perfect for our dog. If you like craft beer make sure you check out Y Bryn a brewery pub about 20mins drive from the cottage. Well worth the trip.
Very dog friendly. Lovely location .cottage finished to a high standard inside and out .Hottub was amazing. Owner was very friendly and knowledgeable would be happy to stay there again. We thought bath robes where included for the hottub but there wasn't any.
Rebecca
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay for my birthday . Already thinking of booking to stay again for next year
Andrew
We were not contacted by the owner to check if everything was OK. Nothing provided to wipe down kitchen surfaces. Bathroom sealant looked like it had mould on it. Taps needed washers to stop dripping.
Dorothy
A lovely cottage, met our expectations in all aspects except location. It was rather remote and access was a little challenging. Never did find the pub a mile and a half away!!
We had an Amazing week the views are amazing, the owners friendly and the hot tub was an added bonus. My 13 year old And 12 year old love the cows and wanted to bring one home. We did lots of exploring and found lots of different beaches we found a beautiful one with a waterfall. We will most definitely be going back Thank you for a lovely warm welcome and great stay
Fantastic holiday. Great location in the country side. Every thing you need fir a home from home holiday. Hot tub was a delight after a day out walking. Single beds a bit firm for me. Great hosts lots of places to visit in a car. Lots of lovely beaches again you need your car.
Caroline
The Stable was lovely. It had a proper rustic feel to it oak beams and wooden flooring. The owners were really friendly and accommodating, and were very quick to sort out a minor issue we had. The property is on a real working farm and it was a real treat to be able to watch the cows being milked. My toddler loved the little play area and also running round the farm grounds. The hot tub was lovely to relax in each evening.
Alison
Would have been nice to have know the road to the actual farm is very unlevel it scraped the bottom of our car causing some damage.
We had a brilliant time! ! Everything about it was perfect. Would definitely book again
We really enjoyed our break. The owners of the property were fabulous and helpful. It was a great place to stay with our dogs who also had a great time. The cottage is set in farmland and beautiful countryside but is also very near the sea. Highly recommended.

When the weather is nice this attraction is perfect as you can wander around and admire the superb range of exotic trees and shrubs.  They look different at different times of the year but one of the most popular times to see them is in Autumn.  With various events throughout the year such as Apple Weekend there is always something new to experience.  You can watch a 90 second film about this attraction on their website which is excellent.
