Frankham Farm Reviews

Bridget
This really is a lovely property which is very comfortably furnished and equipped to a high standard with everything you could possibly want. The layout is ideal for multi generational families or friends holidaying together as it allows for privacy if needed. We had a lot of fun in the well equipped games room and the hot tub was also well used as was the paddock for exercising the dogs. Definitely a 5 star property which I would not hesitate to recommend.
Alison
We had a fantastic week at Frankham Farm - for our multi-generational family group the accommodation and facilities were all we had hoped for and more. We rarely needed to venture further afield as the paddock, tennis court, hot tub and games room were ideal and the kitchen and barbecue area were equipped with all we could need. We greatly enjoyed our tour of the farm with Duncan - so knowledgeable and enthusiastic - and Susan could not have been kinder or more helpful. We hope to come back!
Heather
I don't think anything could be improved upon! Fantastic accommodation in a lovely rural location with welcoming, helpful hosts. Everything one would want for a perfect holiday!
Norma
Clean, spacious, comfortable and well-equipped, we could not fault the accommodation and our hosts were friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Facilities were excellent. We made full use of the hot tub in particular. Location was quiet and private. Be aware that the nearest food store is a five minute drive away in Yetminster.
Edwin
We needed accommodation for a long weekend for 7 adults and a young baby. The split of the main building worked very well for all of us allowing my daughter, son-in-law and their baby daughter to be in the adjoining smaller building, both were very spacious. Susan, the owner, could not have been more helpful, in making sure that we had everything t hat we needed. Her son, Duncan, who now runs their farm has turned it into an organic enterprise and gave us a really informative tour.

We would like to say a huge thank you to the owner of Frankham farm for making us feel so welcome & for helping us celebrate my husband's 60th birthday. Such attention to detail & they could not have been more helpful. Also a big thank you to Duncan for the farm tour & the other farmer workers for allowing our grandchildren to bottle feed the lambs . We all thoroughly enjoyed the weekend & would love to visit again sometime. We would also happily recommend Frankham farm. Thank you all.

We had a wonderful stay at the farm and would not hesitate to recommend The Dairy to anyone thinking of staying. A really relaxing weekend. We could not fault the property which has been renovated to a very high standard. Very comfortable beds, sofa and fully equipped kitchens. The complimentary jams were a really nice treat and went well with the homemade fruit scones that we cooked at the property. The farm tour by Duncan was a particular highlight. A very pleasant and knowledgeable young man.
Michael
Absolutely loved the accommodation and location, so much so that we have already booked next year. Owners are so friendly and knowledgeable. Had a very educational tour around the farm and we are looking forward to seeing whether the experiment with the planting one of the fields pays off!,
Nicholas
One of the best holiday cottages and facilities I've been too. Everything was perfect for all the family aged 63 to 6. Farm owners could not be more helpful. Can't rate this cottage high enough.
Kathryn
One of the best holiday homes we have stayed in, spotlessly clean and everything thing we needed plus much more. The hot tub and games room were a real bonus. Rufus the springer spaniel loved the paddock, as did the rest of the group where we went to relax in the shade. Duncan's farm tour was really interesting and informative, we all thoroughly en joyed it. All set in a beautiful part of the country. A perfect holiday.

Highly Recommend! What a beautiful home, hosted by a wonderful family. Set in the beautiful Dorset countryside, within a wonderful working farm, we had the most fantastic family holiday! The accommodation is wonderful - spacious, clean, very well equipped, beautifully decorated and perfect for singles, families and dogs. The hot tub and games room was a hit with all the family and the walks were joyous! Make sure you book a tour with Duncan the farmer! Can't wait to be able to book again.

First class holiday accommodation. We are three generations and had an amazing time. Superior clean accommodation with lots of thoughtful touches. Fully equipped to cater for all. The farm is fantastic, the tour is suitable for all ages and very informative. Super dog friendly, with plenty of space for off lead exercise. The hot tub and games room are both a fab addition to sharing family time. We had a thoroughly enjoyable time and I would definitely recommend and will hopefully be back.

We had the most wonderful, relaxing stay. The accommodation is second to none, We were very impressed with the quality of the bathrooms, the furnishings and a superbly kitted out kitchen. it is also quite rare to fins a place where all the bedrooms can be split to twin beds which was a bonus for us travelling as a group of friends. We really enjoye d using the hot tub and the games room and felt it was a very private place to enjoy our mini break even though it is within a fully working farm.
helen
The property was perfect for our two families. It had everything you would need, plus a lot of extra comforts and thoughtful details. The children were easily occupied in the house as were the dogs out in the farm walks and paddock. Had an interesting tour of the farm and we all learnt a lot from Duncan. Theres plenty to see and do in the area and even though the weather was dreadful, we have a wonderful weeks stay.

If we could rate this property higher than 5 stars, we would! It was simply amazing, from the conversion itself from barns to luxury accommodation, the interior design and furnishings, hot tub, games room, farm walk and the owners who could not do enough. The holiday home was superb, very well equipped and clean. The setting and layout was perfect for us and the hot tub was checked daily. Our host Susan was lovely and very welcoming, even inviting us to fireworks and a BBQ (which unfortunately we couldn't go to because one of our friends became ill with a virus ) We were also able to have a tour of the farm with Duncan which was brilliant! I'd very highly recommend this property!

Monkey World is not only a local attraction but the work they carry out is amazing.  Rescuing and rehabilitating monkeys and assisting governments around the world to stop the smuggling of primates are just some of the purposes of the centre. You get to see the primates themselves many of which have become famous from appearing on the TV show Monkey World - a documentary about this place. Open year round we think this is one of best attractions in Dorset and you even get the chance to adopt a monkey if you choose.

Check out their website to see some fantastic video podcasts of the park.
