In the enclosed garden you can watch the little ones play on the lawn as you enjoy al fresco meals and drinks on the patio.

Anyone bringing bikes can store them safely in the garden shed. The cottage is 0.5 miles from Sheringham’s family-friendly beach, where you can paddle among the rock pools, hire a beach hut and stroll along the promenade.

Explore the town’s cafes, tearooms, shops and museum, wander to the National Trust’s Sheringham Park, 1.5 miles, or play a round at the 18-hole golf club, 1 mile. Hop on the steam train and puff along to Holt, 7.5 miles, or take a boat trip from Morston Quay, 11 miles, to see the seals at Blakeney Point.
