The property boasts fabulous facilities and is set in a pretty village, just metres from a traditional pub. Converted from a stone barn, this detached cottage has laid-back character, with muted colours, beautiful furnishings and lovely original features.

The tranquil lounge is a sumptuous space with a wooden floor and huge brick fireplace. Enjoy the superb views and, when night draws in, you can close the curtains, light the fire and get cosy with a show on the Smart TV.

The kitchen/diner has been impeccably designed to provide a lovely space in which to concoct meals and enjoy them together. Head upstairs to find the games room with another Smart TV and a table for pool, air hockey and table tennis.

The three elegant bedrooms, a super-king, king-size and double, have been decorated with style, and they''re complemented by a bathroom with a gorgeous roll-top bath, plus a charming shower room. For a bubbling soak after a day outdoors, head to the hot tub in your private garden.

Here, there are two further areas to enjoy: an enclosed, south-facing garden with a lawn and raised patio - where you can BBQ and dine alfresco, and a small front terrace with further outdoor seating. From here you can embark on walks or bike rides straight from your door, while in the market town of Leyburn, 10 miles, you can visit family-run shops and cafes or sample local produce at the Friday farmers'' market.

The lovely villages of Aysgarth, Kettlewell, Buckden, and Grassington are all less than 15 miles away, Bolton Castle is 11 miles and the impressive Aysgarth Falls are 10 miles.

This is a recommended day out for families with young children visiting the Bedale area of Yorkshire.  Visit the farm and receive a warm welcome as well as a guided tour.  You will have the chance to bottle feed the lambs, bath a pig and handle some of the smaller animals.  Kids will love the big sandpit and the outdoor play area. There is also a cafe and indoor play area for when the weather is not on your side.
Lightwater Valley - HG4 3HT
about 15 Miles
Situated in the Ripon area of North Yorkshire this popular theme park makes a fantastic day out for the whole family.  The more daring will love the big and thrilling rides such as Raptor Attack, The Ultimate and Trauma Tower.  For the little ones there are some excellent attractions such as Flying Camels, Dodgems and a Magic Wheel.  Toddlers will like the Dragon Boats and the Lightwater Express amongst other things. There are over 40 rides and attractions in total and we think this is excellent value for money too.  If you book your tickets in advance online you can save even more money and beat the queues.
Fountains Abbey - HG4 3DY
about 15 Miles
This is an outstanding world heritage site located close to Ripon in the North Yorkshire area. Nature lovers will be in their element with an abundance of wide open spaces to explore and there are special guided tours for families.  Some of the highlights may include seeing wild deer and bats during your visit.  The grounds are fantastic to wander round but there is also an Elizabethan Mansion, Victorian Church, Georgian Water Garden and the finest example of Cistercian Abbey ruins in the country - Well worth a visit!
