Also worth a visit is Leyburn (4.5 miles). A vibrant town, it’s packed with local shops and inns serving home-cooked food.
In Leyburn, you can also jump on a heritage diesel train and enjoy afternoon tea while soaking up the Dale scenery from your carriage.
