5 Bedroom Lodge with Hot Tub: 6 Lodges That Sleep 10

Six five-bedroom hot tub lodges from Northumberland to Cornwall, compared by bathrooms, dog rules and park extras, plus what to check before you book.

A five-bedroom timber lodge gives a group of ten their own rooms and one big deck to share

Ten of you, five doors to close at bedtime, and one deck where everybody ends up once the sky turns pink. Maybe it’s a big birthday, a family reunion with three generations, or four couples and a pair of grandparents who’ve finally agreed on a week. A 5 bedroom lodge with hot tub gives you the space of a large house with the easy, open-plan feel of a cabin, plus warm water bubbling outside the patio doors.

They’re rarer than you’d think.

Most searches throw up a single park selling its one big unit, or a page of 5 bedroom holiday cottages where the hot tub’s an afterthought. So we’ve gone through our own listings and picked six genuine five-bedroom lodges with a private hot tub, from the Tyne Valley to the Camel Estuary, with bathroom counts, dog rules and what’s on the doorstep side by side.

Six five-bedroom lodges with their own hot tub

We’ve stuck to timber lodges and cabins, including a couple our listings call cottages because they’re built as lodges. Ratings are guest scores out of 5 where enough reviews exist.

Is a 5 bedroom lodge with hot tub better than a big house for ten?

For a lot of groups, yes. A big stone house wins on character, with thick walls, a flagstone kitchen and maybe a village pub down the lane. A five bedroom lodge wins on how a group actually spends the day.

  • One big room. Kitchen, dining table and lounge usually share one open-plan space, so whoever’s cooking isn’t cut off.
  • Straight outside. The deck opens off the living area, and the tub’s a few steps away in your dressing gown.
  • Fewer stairs. Several are single storey, handy for toddlers and older relatives.
  • Park extras. Golf, a spa, lakes or water sports are often on site, which matters with teenagers in tow.

If you’d rather have the stone walls, our five-bedroom cottages with hot tubs are all proper houses. And if you’re nearer eight than ten, try our four-bedroom hot tub lodges, which runs from the moors of North Yorkshire up to Loch Lomond.

Split ten ways, one big luxury lodge often works out cheaper per head than two smaller ones side by side, with one cleaning fee instead of two.

How do ten people sleep in a five-bedroom lodge?

Usually as two or three doubles plus twins, often with the main bedroom en suite. That’s ten in real beds, nobody on a sofa. The Kenwick lodge sleeps up to 15 in its five rooms, so ask for the bed layout if that matters. Before you pay the deposit, check these:

  • Bathrooms. Two for ten is tight, three is fine and four is comfortable.
  • Who gets the en suite. Sort it in the group chat, not on the doorstep.
  • Parking. Ten people often means three cars, so ask how many spaces there are.
  • Group rules. Many parks don’t take hen or stag parties, so say what the occasion is when you book.
  • Dogs. Only two of our six take them, Rock and Berriew.
  • Hot tub size. Most seat four to six, so you’ll take turns.

What’s normally included

Most self-catering lodges of this size come with the following, but check each listing before you pack:

  • Bed linen and towels for every bedroom
  • A fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher
  • A family bathroom plus at least one shower room
  • A dining table big enough for ten
  • Wifi, parking and outdoor seating by the tub

Questions larger groups ask before booking

Are the hot tubs private?

Yes, at all six. Each one’s for your party alone, not shared with the rest of the park.

Can we bring pets?

At two of them. Rock welcomes dogs and the Berriew lodges take up to two, while the other four don’t allow pets at all.

Are birthday and anniversary celebrations allowed?

Family celebrations are usually fine, but parks set their own rules for parties and noise. Say what you’re marking when you book, and check any limits on visitors or music after dark.

What park amenities can we use?

It depends on the site. Slaley Hall has golf, a spa and restaurants, Lower Mill Estate has water sports and wellness facilities, and Kenwick sits on a golf course. Some extras cost more, so ask before you go.

Hot tub tips when there are ten of you

Every lodge here has its own private tub, never a shared spa on the park. With a big group, a few habits help:

  • Pop the lid back on between soaks to keep the heat in and leaves out.
  • Keep a jug of water by the steps, as it’s easy to stay in too long.
  • Agree a rota on the first night so the kids and the grown-ups both get a turn.

The British and Irish Spa and Hot Tub Association says water over 40°C can be harmful and should be avoided. Children under five are best kept out altogether, and older ones are better at around 35°C for short spells, with an adult watching.

Then relax and switch the deck lights off. On a clear night in the Welsh hills or out in the Northumberland countryside, the stars are something else.

Ready to get everyone together?

A big group holiday works best when everyone has a door to close, there’s one long table for dinner and the water’s still warm at midnight. Pick the luxury lodge that suits your crew, check the bathroom count, then get the date in the diary. You’ll find plenty more hot tub accommodation across the UK, all with private tubs, and more ideas for big parties in our group cottages guides.
