Oak Reviews

Really nice pod the location is fantastic.
Myself and my partner just spent 5 days here and it was amazing. We were made to feel so comfortable from the minute we arrived. The most beautiful settings in the most beautiful cabin that had everything you needed and wonderful owners who were so lovely and friendly, My partner made a friend for life with Meg farm dog. Will definitely recommend and will always stay here when we return to the Lakes
We had a wonderful short break. Stunning location. The Pod was immaculate and very comfortable! Loved the hot tub! The owners were very friendly and helpful! Will definitely visit again.
We stayed in the oak retreat pod for a weeks break. On arrive the lady called to our pod and explained how to use the induction hob and the hot tub. The pod and hot tub was really clean. We had taken our dog too. The surrounding area was picturesque. The overall farm was delightful and friendly. I would stop on this site again Mark and Kim from Warrington

Had a lovely 2 night stay here, very clean on arrival, lovely views and nice area. My 2 kids loved it and also my dog who made friends with the farm dogs, we wished we had booked longer. The owner showed us directions for a walk upto the monument and also gave us some drinks and snacks for the kids! Very appreciated Thankyou
Great time spent here. Staying on a working farm was great for our kids, they loved seeing & holding baby chicks and calves, one born only within a couple of hours. Such an experience. Such a dog friendly place, our Labrador loved playing with their dog Megan who called for him daily. Very close to Coniston & Windermere. Ulverston is within walking distance, lots of shops, restaurants and pubs. Hot tub was a bonus, great size and so clean. The pod was perfect everything you need and a really good size, plenty of space for us 4 and our dog. Will return in lambing season next thank you
We really enjoyed are stay at low flan farm . The owners were loverly very friendly and made us feel welcome. My grandson enjoyed playing ball with Meg the farm dog and little Ruby . The pod was very clean and comfortable, we enjoyed the hot tub. We would recommend the place and will definitely stay again loverly views and places to take long walks a relaxing break I felt so calm and refreshed nice to get away from the daily grind and breath .

A little piece of heaven on earth. Carol and Ian are both lovely and the glamping pods are perfect if I could give 10 stars I would! Everything was spotlessly clean when we arrived. We arrived late on the evening because of work commitments and I didnt expect anyone to greet us but Ian was still up and told met us at the farm gate. The hot tub was so relaxing after a days mountain biking and exploring with great views over the hill side. Our three year old daughter loved playing in the glamping field with Meg and Ruby the farm dogs and there is also a great play park at Ford Park in Ulverston. We really loved our stay and will be back again.
Had a really good short stay very relaxing. Short walk into Ulverston lovely town plenty of eateries
It was just me and my boyfriend for a getaway after finishing university and it was the perfect place to go, the huts were cosy and quite and the view was incredible. We will definitely be visiting again

A big thank you to the owners of the accommodation. We used it as a retreat and a stay whilst we made trips out. It was perfect. Comfortable, clean, tidy, everything we needed and we were made very welcome and owners were friendly and really nice people. All needs were met . A plus was the he dog friendly element of the stay, as we traveled with our young puppy. He really enjoyed it and we loved the fact that we could interact with the owners dogs too. Already booked for next year, and cant wait!!! Thank you.
Bettina

Carol and Neil are fabulous hosts , they made us feel extremely welcome , Carol even groomed our dogs whilst sat chatting , the pods are amazing with amazing views and are in walking distance to the village , also the hot tubs just finishes your evenings off. I hope you both do extremely well in your new adventure, customers will be coming back time and time again once they've discovered Flap Farm Pods
We had a lovely week in beautiful surroundings and enjoyed the hot tub immensely

What a fabulous little find! Just returned from 3 nights at Oak and it did not disappoint. The little pod was well equipped, spotless with quality fixtures and fittings. The hot tub was a great addition and we loved chilling while enjoying the amazing views. The hosts were so lovely and very helpful making sure we had everything we needed and were on hand if there was an issue. The location was great, right on top of Ulverston which has lots of lovely places to eat and shops to explore. Lots of places to enjoy some walking and many of the main attractions of the Lakes area are in a short driving distance. You wont be disappointed with this little gem. We will certainly come back again in the future.
Sebastian
Absolutely beautiful location. The Pod has everything you could need. Warm and cosy. The hot tub was fantastic with stunning views across the countryside. Its only a short drive into the town, which is a lovely place with nice shops and tea rooms etc. its a working farm, so you can see the animals. Hosts are lovely people who made me feel welcome. Couldnt recommend this place enough. What a fantastic experience. Seb

South Lakes Safari Zoo - LA12 0LU
about 4 Miles

This is an amazing Cumbria attraction well known locally as well as nationally for how close you can get to the animals.  Described as the most interactive animal park in Europe it's well worth a visit if you are staying in the area.  Open from April to end October some of the highlights are the tigers, penguins, bears, hippos and rhinos.  At 2pm during certain seasons it's feeding time so don't forget to plan your day around this so you can watch the animals enjoying their feed.  Look out for seasonal events such as Halloween Zoo Boo (free entry for kids in fancy dress) and The Magic of Christmas.

Happy Mount Park - LA4 5AQ
about 13 Miles
Happy Mount Park has attractions for the whole family including several play areas, a miniature railway, crazy golf, putting green and trampolines, there is also a paddling pool where the little ones can splash around in the summer and a café where the adults can relax with a drink. During the summer months and especially during school holidays live music can often be enjoyed.
Lakeland Wildlife Oasis - LA6 1JH
about 13 Miles
Located in the Milnthorpe area of Cumbria we love this local attraction.  With an eclectic mix of fascinating wildlife and hands on displays this centre is educational as well as fun.  You can wander around at leisure admiring the exhibits which range from chameleons to computers. Some of the most threatened species are kept at the park as part if international breeding programmes.  Check out their website for the latest opening times and admission costs which are great value for money.  There are discounts for pre-booked parties of 12 or more.
Rydal Mount & Gardens - LA22 9LU
about 17 Miles
Rydal Mount & Gardens are wonderfully situated between Lake Windermere and Rydal Water offering breathtaking scenery. The home of William Wordsworth from 1813 - 1850 the grand home is now lived in by the poets descendents but parts of the house and grounds are open to the public. Why not take a guided tour and see the rooms where many of the famous poems were written. The gardens are beautiful at all times of the year but in the summer offer a spectacular display of colour. There is also a gallery and a tearoom. Discounts are available for group bookings.
Ullswater Steamers - CA11 0US
about 23 Miles
This is an award winning Lake District attraction and they have been operating cruisers on Lake Ullswater for over 150 years.  There is no better way to explore the lakes than on water and you could even combine a cruise with a spectacular walk.  For great days out in this region then this attraction is highly recommended and will appeal to couples as well as families.  Corporate groups are also well catered for.
