Step inside to discover a light and open studio-style layout featuring original carriage details, including overhead lights, bag compartments, and traditional seating. The kitchen is equipped with the essentials needed to prepare meals, while the dining area provides space to enjoy dishes together before planning the day.

The sitting area offers a place to relax after exploring the surrounding area. Positioned at the rear of the carriage is a king-size bed, with a window above fitted with a blind, allowing guests to look towards the night sky from the covers if they choose.

A shower room with a walk?in shower, basin, and WC completes the interior. Outside, the enclosed garden offers room for outdoor dining, while the covered and private hot tub provides a sheltered spot to unwind at any time of day.

From the end of the road, guests can join the riverside path along the Old Bedford River or visit the nearby RSPB Boutwood Hide. A short drive brings you to a handy shop, a pair of friendly pubs, a café, and a traditional fish and chip shop.

The historic city of Ely is also within reach, showcasing the impressive Ely Cathedral, Oliver Cromwell’s House, and pleasant riverside paths along the Great Ouse. Ely also offers a great cinema, with several restaurants just outside the city.

The Carriage Ely Paddington offers a distinctive stay in a scenic part of Cambridgeshire. Around 12 miles away (less than a 30?minute drive), guests can enjoy visiting Highland Cow Cottage — a lovely local spot that many visitors have really enjoyed.
