Alternatively, head 3 miles inland to the National Trust’s Felbrigg Hall – one of the most elegant country houses in East Anglia, it has acres of woodland and waymarked trails to explore. Located in the centre-of-town, this detached property has been skilfully reimagined with bold colour schemes, high-end furnishings and an opulent open-plan lounge/dining room offering a choice of comfortable sofas, Smart TV and a wood burner.

It’s a welcoming room in which to relax with family, friends and canine companions; if you’d prefer a more intimate space, relocate to the snug where the further choice of seating includes a double sofa bed. Contemporary cabinets and counters continue the clutter-free feel into the kitchen, which has all the must-haves of home – including a Nespresso coffee machine – to ensure that self-catering is effortless.

A fabulously decorated cloakroom completes the ground floor layout. When it’s time to sleep, the first floor has three boutique-hotel-like bedrooms.

Two have king-sized beds, one has a double, and to ensure that there’s flexibility for all, one of the king-size beds can be made up as twins on request. A large modern bathroom with both a shower and a bath is on this upper floor too.

Sheringham Park - NR26 8TL
about 4 Miles
The National Trust Sheringham Park in Norfolk was designed by Humphry Repton and the book of original designs can still be seen. The park has many attractions including a viewing tower and a gazebo with amazing coastal views, wildlife trails which young children will love and an exhibition barn where visitors can learn the history of the park.
Bishops Boats Seal Trips - NR23 1RY
about 11 Miles
This is a really unique attraction running daily seal watching trips from the middle of March right through to the end of October.  The experienced skippers will lead you out on one of the traditional wooden boats where you will have the chance to see both common and grey seals.  If you love animals then this is one attraction not to be missed! They also do some boat trips combined with guides on dry land such as seal watching combined with a visit to Blakeney Point Nature Reserve, owned by the National Trust.  We think this attraction is excellent value for money as they keep their admission prices low.
Dinosaur Adventure Park - NR9 5JW
about 16 Miles
This fun family day out has been well planned and we think is certainly worth a visit.  New for 2010 is the PrimEvil at Dinosaur Adventure.  Other fun activities include the Dinosaur Trail, Arachnophobia, the Raptor Races and the adventure play area.  The secret animal garden is also popular.  You can play a role in wildlife conservation and sponsor an animal if you wish.  At the moment if you sign up for their newsletter there is a chance to win a family ticket.
Bewilderwood - NR12 8JW
about 16 Miles
Bewilderwood is a fun day out for the whole family located in the Wroxham area of Norfolk.  This imaginative adventure park has won awards and we think kids especially will love the characters and the magical tree houses. You can even book your ticket online and beat the queues by visiting their website where you can also view video clips of the park. This place is also the setting for the book 'A Boggle at BeWILDerwood', by local children's author Tom Blofeld.  Parents are not left out either as you're encouraged to take part and play alongside your children.
Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens - NR21 0LN
about 18 Miles
if you and your family are interested in nature and wildlife then Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens is the perfect place for a day out. This beautiful area of national parkland is home to a huge range of common and rare birds from sparrows to Red Crowned Cranes and also has a red squirrel enclosure - part of a conservation programme and now home to a family of adorable squirrels. Other activities to enjoy at Pensthorpe include pond dipping and Landrover discovery tours. Pensthorpe also played host to BBC'S Springwatch in 2010.
Melsop Farm Park - NR20 3DT
about 29 Miles
We love this attraction in Scoulton, Norfolk with a great collection of animals.  Children and adults alike have the chance to get hands on with the animals in the special handling areas.  On rainy days there is always the indoor play area for the little ones and when it's time for a bite to eat the cafe on the farm is open all day selling drinks and snacks.  Hot food is available over lunch times.
