About Burrs Farm

Burrs Farm is a large and charming house situated in the heart of Chelmorten, Derbyshire, within the stunning Peak District National Park. Offering ample off-road parking, en-suite facilities, a games room and toasty woodburning stoves, this retreat is perfect for families or friends seeking a serene escape amidst breathtaking landscapes and outdoor adventures.

Spread over three floors, this property offers an array of sleeping arrangements to suit all, all bedrooms can be either king size or twin via zip and link beds, one room has a bunk, and you can find an additional single in two of the bedrooms. On the first floor, you'll find four bedrooms, there are two family rooms: one with a king-size bed and bunk beds, and another with a twin bed, a single bed, and an en-suite shower room.

Additionally, there's a twin room that can be converted into a king-size, complete with its own en-suite, and another twin room with exposed beams. Climb the stairs to the second floor where you'll discover a super-king-size bedroom tucked in the eaves, a twin room with an en-suite shower room, and a final family room with a twin and single bed, all under charming Velux windows.

The property also benefits from a bathroom with a freestanding bath and a walk-in shower, perfect for leisurely soaks, and a separate shower room for a brisk start to the day. The heart of the home is the kitchen, with a green oil-fueled AGA, perfect for whipping up a feast for your loved ones, this space leads to a utility room equipped with a freezer, washing machine, and tumble dryer.

The dining room, with a warming woodburning stove and seating for twenty guests, is perfect for hosting memorable meals or a competitive board game. Relax in the sitting room, featuring a TV, deep-seat sofas, and a woodburning stove set within a exposed brick fireplace with a quaint wooden beam overhead.

The Peak District National Park is the ideal place to relax and explore.  The stunning scenery will take your breath away and there is the opportunity to take part in ranger led guides and events.  These are ideal if you are new to the area or only staying a short time and want to see the best sights and walks.

This is a top class theme park with plenty to do for the whole family.  From thrilling rides to more gentle activities for the little ones this place is ideal.  The best thing is that 50% of their attractions are under cover so the British weather needn't spoil the fun.

This unique attraction combines an array of activities.  If you have a look on their website there are some good video clips which give an even better idea of what this attraction is all about.  Some of the highlights include the Cable Car system which is actually Britain's first alpine style cable car system.  You are transported from the valley floor right up above where you can enjoy superb Dewent Valley Views.  You can also stroll around 60 acres of wooded hillside on foot to see an array of birds and wildlife.

Of course you can't mention attractions in Staffordshire without featuring the fabulous Alton Towers theme park.  The rides range from thrilling to quite simply terrifying although there are more gentle family rides for the little ones.  All ages are catered for here.  Some of the most famoue rides include Th13teen, Air, The Blade and Nemesis.  There is also a waterpark on site for some splashtastic fun. Denby visitor centre is a fun day out in the Derbyshire region with an array of activities iunder one roof.  An all weather attraction you can take pottery tours, see cookery demonstrations and visit Bourne's restaurant.  There are events and offers on throughout the year for example the Denby factory Shops sale where you can save £££s and October Creepy Crypt for Halloween where you can go along in fancy dress and have your face painted.  Booking is advised so check out the latest details on their website.
Crazy Crocodiles Indoor Play & Party Centre - LL30 1DR

This is an all weather attraction located in Ilkeston Derbyshire.  With a large play frame as well as bikes and ride on toys this is a fun place for young children.  The toddler time sessions take place during term times on week days from 9.30am until 2.30pm and are very popular. The admission fee is excellent value for money and parents can sit down and enjoy a drink while the children play. A new baby changing facility has now been installed together with some new chairs making this a clean and welcoming attraction for families.  Look out for offers on their website such as a free hot drink on select days.
British Wildlife Rescue Centre - TN8 7AR
