The Parlour Reviews

Everything was perfect apart from the clunking of metal on the radiators during the night with me and my wife being very light sleepers we struggled to sleep but everything else was perfect, thank you.
Nicola
We had the most enjoyable holiday at the Parlour. We felt at home from the moment we walked through the door. The furnishings were all excellent. The hot tub was spot on and the most perfect way to start Christmas day. Some nice touches had also been added to celebrate the Christmas holidays. We had a really good time.

This was ideal for our three night stay. Clean and we loved the hot tub! The weather meant we couldnt make more use of the outside space but it was attractive and private. Inside was bijou and although somewhere to shelve suitcase andor contents would have been useful it certainly is somewhere wed stay again. Thank you.
Sharon
I cannot fault anything. The accommodation was a decent size, clean, comfy and well equipped. Outside, was secluded, maintained and the hot tub, amazing and probably one of the best we've used. The area was quiet and secluded, and I loved seeing the animals. All in all, probably one of the best lodgecabin breaks we have had
This was a fantastic place to stay, perfect location and just what was needed for a half term getaway.

Definitely deserves a round two! Just what I needed, somewhere surrounded by nature to relax. The animals were lovely, and the shops are still nice and close with loads of food options. Highly recommend it, and Ill definitely be back!

Property was fine for a couple, only issue was lack of any storage available for clothes, I think at least there should be a couple of three drawer units to put your clothes in, had to work out of a bag all week, doesnt feel homely if you havent been able to unpack ! !
The Parlour offered the perfect stay to go out and enjoy what the Peak District and surrounding areas have to offer. Stayed here for 3 nights and couldn't find one fault with the property. Well catered for, The Parlour gave a very comfortable stay and is a real credit to the owners
Had an excellent stay, lovely place.
Another fabulous stay at The Parlour, highly recommended for a romanticrelaxing break
What a wonderful retreat! We had an amazing stay, and the owners, especially Helen, were so lovely and helpful. We got a bit lost trying to find the cottage, but Helen gave us clear directions over the phone that saved the day. The cottage itself was incredibly comfortable, and the views were simply stunning. As an added bonus, we loved seeing all the farm animals! After we left, we realized we had accidentally forgotten a baby bottle. Helen was incredibly kind and offered to send it back to us right away. Her friendliness and willingness to go the extra mile really made a lasting impression. We would highly recommend this beautiful cottage to anyone looking for a relaxing and welcoming getaway
Chelsea
Thank you for an amazing stay The Parlour had everything we could possibly need. It had a cosy vibe and the hot tub was a lovely addition to being relaxed. We had the best, relaxed and cosy break away. It is centred near different villages and areas easy to access within driving distance. We stayed here to go to explore different areas near the Peak District. The only thing we would say the early wake up call by the cockerel was a pleasure surprise!
We couldnt have found a more perfect, relaxing, well located little holiday home. Helen was so welcoming, with great local knowledge. We spent most of our days exploring the local area, Tutbury, Derby, Lichfield, and then returned back to cook tea, and enjoy the hot tub. Furnishings and decoration were all premium quality. It was so nice to have incredibly decent equipment in the kitchen too, as we like to cook for ourselves mostly. The cottage is looked after, clean, comfortable, and I would highly recommend it for couples or even renting a few of the properties as a bigger group.
A lovely place to stay, being surrounded by the animals enhances the stay. It is a very relaxing spot with lots to do in the surrounding areas.
Joanne

It was perfect, everything we could needed was supplied, having a private garden was such a bonus, we enjoy the hot tub and sitting outside in private it was lovely and quite with only the noise from the animals to make us smile it sounded like the cockerel had a sort throat. As you can tell we loved it would full recommend and will return another time
We received a warm welcome from Helen and enjoyed a fabulous 2 night stay. All the facilities were amazing and everything needed was provided. Being able to enjoy the surroundings was great and the peace and tranquility of the venue was exceptional. Thank you
