We recently stayed here as a group of 9 lads and it was honestly the perfect house for our trip. The place had everything we needed to keep everyone entertained. The highlight was definitely the hot tub, which was a massive laugh, and we spent a lot of our time out in the garden having a proper BBQ and a few drinks. Its a great setup for a group, and we made full use of the pool table as well. The area itself is spot on, and we enjoyed it so much that we are already talking about making this an annual tradition. Highly recommend this place if youre looking for a solid spot for a group trip. Cheers! Downstairs shower neefs fixing as it didnt appear to work

This is the second time staying at Reston Mill. The house is in a great location close to village . The kitchen is large but washer really needs a bigger drum for size of house and number of guests also fridge freezer could do with being a bit larger. A useful addition would be a condenser dryer perhaps in the utility room as no where to put wet clothing if raining. The floorboards on landing upstairs are loose and need attention. Overall we enjoyed our stay ,the garden is lovely and spacious and the hot tub a plus. The children loved the conservatory. Had an issue with electric circuit tripping, however the electrician came the same day and remedied the problem. Great service.Would stay again as house however just needs some tlc.

The property photos must have been taken a long time ago as it is not as bright and of the calibre portrayed. The lounge, sun room and entrance area, in particular, are very tired and in need of updating. And I would not use Sykes again, as they did not respond to messages I sent seeking reassurance that issues raised in other reviews had been addressed.

Loved our stay at Reston Mill. We were a group of 5 couples and the house was perfectly equipped for dinner parties and seatingsleeping arrangements etc. The hot tub was great and was cleaned twice during our visit. The only issues we faced were the dishwasher that wasn't great at cleaning dishes and the upstairs shower that drained too slowly. Was plenty of space for parking and the location was great. Would definitely stay again.

While the accommodation was lovely and the house was brilliantly stocked, the reason we chose this accommodation was because of the hot tub. A better description wouldve been Luke warm tub. It wasnt hot on arrival or later in the evening and only got hot by the morning. This is quite disappointing. The floorboards upstairs are very squeaky also. This woke up the baby quite frequently along with other people sleeping. The heating also came on in the evening and the house was swelteringly hot and woke most people up early. Overall, a lovely stay. I would recommend but make the comment that the hot tub wasnt hot at all
Great garden, lots of space, lovely dining area where everyone can sit comfortably. Bedrooms and bathrooms worked well with lots of options. Lots of usable parking allowed flexibility. A good stay

A true honest review 7 of us all female, all ladies of a certain age , so we not children however we were there to let our hairs down have good time We arrived , it looks from the picture an amazing huge cottage however its attached to another cottage and you are in a small out way area with few houses around, you can imagine it , the neighbours werent happy noise they came around and complained , we were thinking oh hell we got to be quiet which we did rest week ! !! Hot tub was a hit , it was hot and had no problems with it , someone came to service and clean it which bonus The house its self is big, creeky flooring but its expected its an old house, plenty seating showers were good bed comfortable plenty of crockery nothing for children so if you have kids take their bowels etc They had complimentary box of soap shower get really nice touch There key safe to let yourself in Would I stay again no sadly not I liked the place etc but not attached to another house Felt no privacy no garden furniture so couldnt sit outside

Perfect accommodation for a large group. Plenty of crockery, cutlery and glassware and other practical bits and bobs. Showers were hot and powerful and beds comfy and clean. The hot tub was serviced twice in the week and was well used by us. My big birthday celebration was a hit!

Rydal Mount & Gardens - LA22 9LU
about 7 Miles
Rydal Mount & Gardens are wonderfully situated between Lake Windermere and Rydal Water offering breathtaking scenery. The home of William Wordsworth from 1813 - 1850 the grand home is now lived in by the poets descendents but parts of the house and grounds are open to the public. Why not take a guided tour and see the rooms where many of the famous poems were written. The gardens are beautiful at all times of the year but in the summer offer a spectacular display of colour. There is also a gallery and a tearoom. Discounts are available for group bookings.
Ullswater Steamers - CA11 0US
about 12 Miles
This is an award winning Lake District attraction and they have been operating cruisers on Lake Ullswater for over 150 years.  There is no better way to explore the lakes than on water and you could even combine a cruise with a spectacular walk.  For great days out in this region then this attraction is highly recommended and will appeal to couples as well as families.  Corporate groups are also well catered for.
Lakeland Wildlife Oasis - LA6 1JH
about 13 Miles
Located in the Milnthorpe area of Cumbria we love this local attraction.  With an eclectic mix of fascinating wildlife and hands on displays this centre is educational as well as fun.  You can wander around at leisure admiring the exhibits which range from chameleons to computers. Some of the most threatened species are kept at the park as part if international breeding programmes.  Check out their website for the latest opening times and admission costs which are great value for money.  There are discounts for pre-booked parties of 12 or more.
South Lakes Safari Zoo - LA12 0LU
about 19 Miles

This is an amazing Cumbria attraction well known locally as well as nationally for how close you can get to the animals.  Described as the most interactive animal park in Europe it's well worth a visit if you are staying in the area.  Open from April to end October some of the highlights are the tigers, penguins, bears, hippos and rhinos.  At 2pm during certain seasons it's feeding time so don't forget to plan your day around this so you can watch the animals enjoying their feed.  Look out for seasonal events such as Halloween Zoo Boo (free entry for kids in fancy dress) and The Magic of Christmas.

Happy Mount Park - LA4 5AQ
about 20 Miles
Happy Mount Park has attractions for the whole family including several play areas, a miniature railway, crazy golf, putting green and trampolines, there is also a paddling pool where the little ones can splash around in the summer and a café where the adults can relax with a drink. During the summer months and especially during school holidays live music can often be enjoyed.
Lake District Wildlife Park - CA12 4RD
about 26 Miles
We love this day out in Cumbria where you're encouraged to "take a fresh look".  Some of the amazing animals you will get to see include the only Canadian Lynx in the UK and you will have the opportunity to help their Lynx Conservation Project.  The Asian Fishing Cat is also well worth a look - these cats are known for diving under the water and catching fish!  Other activities include fantastic flying displays and play areas for the little ones...
