Cherry Tree House Reviews

The place is not fit for purpose and urgently needs an inspection.

Nobody used hotub as its smealt, had to wait in for engineer as central heating was not working on arrival, showers not functioning great. Lots of blinds broke or missing. Whole house smelt of smoke. Overall think property could fo with some TLC. But great size for big parties
Great property for a large family ,very close to the central pier approx10min walk away, very clean and tidy
Lindsey
I'm afraid that the information listed for this property is very misleading. It is not clean at all. The kitchen was very dirty with a lack of cooking facilites and equipment for 15 people. The bed sheets had pet hairs all over them. ALL our frozen food delivered via supermarket delivery had to be thrown away as the freezer did not work. The patio furniture was unusable as broken. The washing machine does not work. 3 showers do not work. 4 of the TV's don't work and have no remote. The parking is for 1 car not 2 cars as stated in listing. The property is in an overall rough bad state and I'm suprised it is even offered by Sykes. We were extremely dissapointed in our stay having been happy with all our holidays with Sykes in the past.
Owner met us at property talked us through everything to enjoy our stay left his number in case of any issues . Beds all lovely and comfortable rooms all nice and clean.well equipped kitchen .hot tub was great and well used during our stay.house ideally located for all attractions in blackpool .looking forward to our return later on in the year.

We had a fabulous stay. Cherry Tree House is in a great position. The house itself is great. Plenty of living spaces downstairs. Bedrooms are a very good size, with onsuites also being of good proportion. House was lovely and clean with the heating on and ready for our arrival. Owners very helpful. Would definitely recommend to others.
Robert
The property was spacious, well equipped, great location, loved the bedrooms all being on suite. Some items in need of a bit of TLC. Dissappointally the property description shows allocating parking spaces for 2 cars, but there is only one space. We had to park our second car in a public carpark down the road at a cost of 35, which was an additional cost we had not factored in.

Happy Mount Park has attractions for the whole family including several play areas, a miniature railway, crazy golf, putting green and trampolines, there is also a paddling pool where the little ones can splash around in the summer and a café where the adults can relax with a drink. During the summer months and especially during school holidays live music can often be enjoyed.

Head for the Bowland Wild Boar park and we don't think you will be disappointed.  A popular attraction in Preston there is so much to do for the whole family.  From picnics, walks and wildlife to experiencing feeding the animals you are sure to have a memorable day out.  Also popular is the kids tractor play area.  For rest and relaxation the cafe is ideal serving hot drinks and snacks with a lovely view over the pond and wildlife feeding station.  The Forest of Bowland has been declared an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
South Lakes Safari Zoo - LA12 0LU
about 25 Miles

This is an amazing Cumbria attraction well known locally as well as nationally for how close you can get to the animals.  Described as the most interactive animal park in Europe it's well worth a visit if you are staying in the area.  Open from April to end October some of the highlights are the tigers, penguins, bears, hippos and rhinos.  At 2pm during certain seasons it's feeding time so don't forget to plan your day around this so you can watch the animals enjoying their feed.  Look out for seasonal events such as Halloween Zoo Boo (free entry for kids in fancy dress) and The Magic of Christmas.

Lakeland Wildlife Oasis - LA6 1JH
about 28 Miles
Located in the Milnthorpe area of Cumbria we love this local attraction.  With an eclectic mix of fascinating wildlife and hands on displays this centre is educational as well as fun.  You can wander around at leisure admiring the exhibits which range from chameleons to computers. Some of the most threatened species are kept at the park as part if international breeding programmes.  Check out their website for the latest opening times and admission costs which are great value for money.  There are discounts for pre-booked parties of 12 or more.
