This property is absolutely gorgeous, the attention to detail is amazing and you can really see the love that the owners have put in. The facilities that old bell works offers is incredible the beautiful garden which our dog loved running about, the hot tub, barbecue and the ping pong table which can be used no matter thr weather as it is all under cover. All of the rooms are immaculate and the owners are absolutely lovely who are on thr other end of the phone if you need them. We truly loved our stay here as a family and we will definitely be returning. thank you again and we will see you soon

We had a great week celebrating my birthday with family. Everything we could have wanted was provided. The cottage was warm, plenty of hot water and towels and extremely comfortable The space was great for 3 adult couples. Great communication before, during and after our stay from Paula and Brian. Thank you.

Old Bells Works was just fabulous! The owners were so lovely and got in touch in advance of our stay and even helped in providing me with an extensive list of nice restaurants that I'd asked about. When we first arrived on the really stormy Friday night it was wonderful to open the door into this beautiful cottage! The lights were on, including the pretty fairy lights, it was lovely and warm, and there was a gorgeous smell, it was so welcoming! The whole weekend was just perfect. The cottage is decorated to perfection and it's clearly looked after so well. It was absolutely spotlessly clean. Everywhere is so modern and immaculately furnished but it also has a lovely cosy cottage feel too. It's brilliant that each bedroom has their own spacious bathroom so everyone can relax. Even little touches like having dressing robes and sliders for the hot tub are just brilliant! I can't recommend it highly enough, we'd all love to return and we loved the cute little mice round the cottage! So cute! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We stayed at this beautiful cottage for a week four of us and wee Ollie. The cottage is absolutely lovely comfortable, wellequipped, and full of charm. The beds were cozy, and the sofas were perfect for relaxing after a day out. We especially loved the twinkly lights that made the evenings feel so warm and inviting along with having the fire on. Ollie adored the garden and spent plenty of time by the bifold doors, hoping to spot a furry visitor. We had great fun discovering all the little mice hidden around the cottage and of course, we couldnt resist adding another one to the collection! A truly wonderful stay we cant wait to return and we have recommended it to friends

We recently had the pleasure of staying here for a week. Our party of 6 arrived in 3 separate cars. From pulling onto the spacious drive we were impressed. This house will not disappoint you. We opened the front door to be wowed by the twinkle of decorative lights and welcoming aromas. The house is beautifully arranged with astounding attention to detail throughout. Had a fantastic stay from start to finish. Paula, the owner, kept in touch from before we arrived to see if we had any needed and throughout our stay to see if we needed anything. Everything you need is there from milk on our arrival and massive hamper full of goodies to toothbrush and toothpaste in every bathroom. It is a real gem in peaceful and tranquil village. Found the beds to be really nice in nice big rooms and nice spaces showers. Really great dog friendly garden so the dog could run round freely, with a seating area for that morning coffee, listening to the birds. Would go back tomorrow if we could, but you can see why it is always so popular

This looked like a beautiful cottage on the listing but the reality was even better than we expected. It was really cosy and comfortable and a great base for going out and about in Lancashire.

Gorgeous cottage with fantastic facilities. We have stayed in numerous Sykes Cottages and this was best equipped of all we have stayed at. Absolutely loved the outside area with dining table, BBQ and hot tub all covered and sheltered from the wind. You may need to travel a bit to visit places of interest but the cottage is a fantastic base.

We had an amazing stay Paula and Brian fantastic hoste . Outstanding cleanest and everything but more at the cottage we needed thou our stay . Garden and out side area outstanding also and the ellston arms pub outstanding food also . Looking forward to next years stay.

Beautiful cottage, everything you need and more. We loved the garden and the hot tub was amazing. We all agreed the beds where so comfy, having your own bathroom was great. We all had a great time, making lots of memories.

What a beautiful cottage Paula and Brian have created It just left us speechless when we walked through the door. Everything has been done to a high spec and nothing is too much trouble for the owners. The massive enclosed garden is fantastic and our grandson and dog loved running about with us knowing they were safe. The hot tub under the canopy was fantastic to relax in after long days out on the nearby beachs of st Annes,Fleetwood and Blackpool. All in all it was just a fantastic stay in a wonderful cottage and in all the years we have been hiring cottages for our holidays this is by far the best we have stayed in and wouldnt hesitate to book again if staying in the area. Well done Paula and Brian.

This was our second visit to The Old Bell works, absolutely loved it once again, cottage is well equipped comfortable and definitely a 5 star stay. The owners are always on hand to answer any queriesquestions, the hot tub is a dream and super relaxing after a day of sight seeing, our dog Charley loves the garden, its so big, enclosed and very well kept. The beds are super comfortable and the bedding very plush, I would not hesitate in any way to recommend this property to anyone and will definitely be back! We read a lot of the previous feedback before booking this accommodation and so had very high expectations, but we were certainly not disappointed. On the contrary, we were impressed by the amount of love, care and attention to detail which has gone into creating this beautiful home from home. Thank you for a perfect stay.

Definitely the best holiday property we have rented. The cottage is very comfortable, warm and every need met. Both the inside and garden are stunning. Hot tub important for us was checked each morning by owner. Robes, towels and slippers supplied first time ever!. Lovely garden furniture with games two 18 year old grandchildren had an amazing time.. All bedrooms were beautifully presented nice bedding and, again lots of little extras. Nice ensuite shower rooms very modern with good toiletries.and fluffy towels.. dog friendly with towels,, etc provided. Fully fenced very large garden for safety. Owners live close by and are both really helpful if needed.. Highly recommend and we all want to return 3 generations from 18 to 81!

This is by far one of the nicest properties that we have stayed in! So comfortable, clean and cosy! There was everything provided that you needed and more. As soon as we walked in we were instantly relaxed. The owner was so friendly and helpful, nothing was a bother. Jacuzzi was fabulous and so well maintained by the owner. We would 100 recommend this property!

Outstanding property and better than the pictures. Very dog friendly and spotless. Refurb has been carried out to an extremely high standard with quality fittings and fixtures. Wish we could have stayed longer. We spent Christmas week here and the owners went all out to decorate before our arrival. Would be very happy to return.

Booked here for our annual girly work friends trip that we have done the last 3 years. Picked due to location not being too far from home and hot tub being an essential requirement. When we arrived it felt so cosy and warm. Very clear guide with instructions etc. Kitchen very well equipped and again loved the open plan layout. Everything seemed to have been thought of like sliders for going to the hot tub and towels especially for the hot tub. Never been anywhere that does that and made a big difference. All in all we had a very relaxing weekend and there was plenty of space. Paula and Brian were so friendly and helpful in the lead up to us arriving and answered any questions promptly. Will definitely return hopefully in the future. Lovely cosy group house for families and chilled out groups.

We have just spent the most wonderful and relaxing week at The Old Bell Works cottage, and firstly have to send huge thanks to Paula and Brian and their family for creating such a special place. From the moment you walk through the front door you get the feeling that you are being embraced by a warm and very comforting giant hug! We loved everything about it, so much so we could easily have moved in permanently! There is so much to love about this property, the decor, the beams, the stone work, the log fire, the very comfortable beds, the hot tub, the very generous and secure garden which our dog loved, and also for any horse lovers like myself you could sometimes spot them in the stable yard just behind the cottage from the open plan living area window. The other special thing about this place is the details, the little felt mice, the toy animals and pumpkins, all dotted around and in some unexpected places, and the beautiful light up tree in the hallway with the animal decorations, the throws even for the dog too!, the hamper basket, all these touches were so lovely and made it feel so homely. The surroundings are also so peaceful, if you are after a place to be quiet and recharge the batteries this is for you. If anyone is reading through all of the great reviews weighing up whether to book or not like we did! I would say this to you Do not hesitate! This property is outstanding! ! Very clean, comfortable, well equipped and special. The hosts were really friendly and very helpful whenever we needed anything. This is our third visit to the property so we must be pleased with it. Great house plenty of room, nice big fenced garden for our our dog Seeker, no problem with bringing a dog, just follow the rules, Plentiful supply of hot water at a good pressure for the showers, Hot tub great for that soak at the end of the day. The owners Paula and Brian were excellent, They were available when need but not mithering.

The Old Bell Works is an absolutely stunning property and my family and I enjoyed a fantastic weeks stay. The cottage is immaculate and everything was as described even better than we could have expected. We loved it so much we have booked to come back again next summer. The hosts were so accommodating checking in before and throughout our stay. They really had thought of everything and also added little touches to make the cottage extra special. The facilities were perfect and the garden fabulous with plenty of areas to sit and relax. The hot tub was lovely and having robes, towels and shoes provided was a great touch. The walk over the fields and through the maize field to the pub was just the right distance but the terrain not good for those who are unstable on their feet as there is a gate to climb over and a narrow bridge. The Old Bell Works is a beautiful place to stay for 2 and 4 legged visitors..would definitely recommend it and stay there again.

We had a great time at Old Bell Works. The cottage was extremely comfortable and had everything you needed. The hot tub and BBQ area was fantastic, it was all under cover, so no matter the weather you could still enjoy the outside life. Paula and Brian were very friendly and made you feel at home. It was really peaceful at all times and felt really relaxed in this wonderful cottage. Would thoroughly recommend Old Bell Works for a stay and handy for visiting lots of interesting places Lancashire has to offer. Would love to go back.

An excellent property which really is a home from home with everything you could require whilst away. The property is fantastic, beautifully decorated and homely with comfy beds and plenty of space to relax in. The secure garden is lovely with a huge area for the children and dog to run around in with comfy outdoor seating, BBQ and hot tub which are all in excellent condition and well maintained. The owners are lovely, checking in on us via text and letting us know about events happening in the local area and nothing is too much trouble.

This was our second stay at this lovely cottage, and we enjoyed it even more. Our son has a physical disability, but he managed the groundfloor shower with the aid of a perching shower chair. He loved the groundfloor bedroom. We travelled to different places each day and researched where was accessible and dogfriendly. For families like us, we recommend some areas you might like to try. Old Bell Works will not disappoint in any way, shape or form. We have just returned from spending a week in this gorgeous property and have loved everything about it. It's the most comfortable, homely, cosy, well thought out property by far that we have stayed in. The property owners have quite clearly thought of literally everything to make your stay as home from home as possible. This property allows pets and we feel the need to mention that there was no smell whatsoever or any evidence that dogs have been in the property amazing. Thank you Paula & Brian for creating this gem, you should be very proud.

We have stayed in many Sykes Cottages but The Old Bell Works has been the best yet. It is well presented and in excellent condition inside and out. The beds are comfortable with cosy matress toppers and crisp white sheets. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you could possibly need for selfcatering. Lots of channels on the TV, good WiFi reception, and selection of games available. Covered hottub and outdoor seating was great, even in the rain. The owners go the extra mile with small details and clearly care that you have a perfect holiday. Plenty of attractions for all ages within a 2030 min drive. Highly recommended.
