Nook Cottage Reviews

Stella
Weve been to North Farm Cottages many times but unfortunately we felt it had become too commercialised with so many rules and regulations. You dont really want to be contacted to say dont forget to tidy up, fill the dishwasher, strip your beds put the linen here take all your rubbish etc etc!!! Were supposed to be on holiday !! We also wanted a quick dip in the hot tub on the final morning. Just before 8 but the maintenance guy was there getting it ready I presume for the next people!!! The hot tub was freezing when we arrived so we couldnt use it til about 9pm! We were only there for 3 nights, would have booked longer but that was all that was left so we wanted to make the most of the facilities but u fortunately we were left down. There was a power cut which understandably couldnt be helped but on contacting the owner to ask advice on where we could keep milk for 4 month old grandson we were told to try the village of Embleton!!! With the size of the site some sort of backup generator for emergencies would make sense. Nook Cottage was a nice cottage with lovely views to the sea but no privacy when in hot tub or sat out as cottages either side join you so people all across in front of you! Sorry!
Excellent accommodation. High end comfort and convenience. Couldn't wish for a better property and location.
Lovely cottage good location for getting about we have stayed at other cottages and had a warm welcome no personal touch which we thought let it down . Long list of dos and donts no internet for most of a day so we had no ev charge for our return journey the ev apparently is the worse one anyway so it was the key reason we chose it and had to find the next nearest nightmare up there and again no one to ask but apart from that lovely castles etc
Weve had a lovely break at The Nook, which was spotlessly clean, inside and out. Its very spacious and has lovely views over the fields towards the sea. There was butter, milk, juice, bread and biscuits when we arrived, which was very welcome. It is somewhere we would like to book again next time we visit Northumberland.
Lovely cottage and location. Very clean and bright.
Very impressed with the quality of accommodation, facilities, location and the general arrangement of the cottages site. A well cared for estate and a lovely walk to the coast along a mown path just makes the experience such a pleasure. Excellently thought out and a superb maintenance program makes the holiday seamless. This is within easy reach of the superb Embleton Beach take the car and park at the Golf Club for just 3 per day, Craster and Dunstanburgh Castle. We had three cottages for our family so that we all had our own space but could meet up whenever we wanted and the grandchildren could pop in and out safely. Highly recommended.

A beautifully appointed property in an amazing setting. One small observation although not one to stop us coming again, is that the hot tub lacks privacy and the property would benefit from some planting immediately outside.

Nook Cottage was extremely clean and welcoming on our arrival, including a very nice welcome pack of food. Very good bathroom. Main areas of the cottage face the sea view. Great facilities in the kitchen. Hot tub was probably the best Ive used in terms of cleanliness and great working order. Point to note hot tub isnt covered and is quite open to the elements and neither is it private. Its definitely a fair weather hot tub! If youre happy with this then

Lovely comfortable accommodation everything we needed 5 star thankyou
Really nice comfortable stay in an immaculate cottage in quiet scenic surroundings. Couldn't fault anything at all and we loved your ducks!

Nook cottage is a real gem, very comfortable and in a delightful location, a short stroll across farmland to a glorious beach. The cottage has a hot tub and there is a swimming pool on North Farm for use by guests, in the cottage courtyard there is also a picnic table benches. The location is ideal for exploring the coastline and countryside of Northumberland. We so enjoyed our break in Nook that we have already booked for next year.
Had an amazing time in Embleton and Nook cottage was fab, so clean, they drain the hot tubs for each groups stay which was good to see. The mowed paths to walk safely into town were very well thought out. We were there with our kids and they had an amazing time too. Pool was a big hit. We will definitely be returning.
We had a lovely stay at Nook Cottage. The weather was a bit disappointing but coming back to the lovely warm cottage was a bonus. The welcome pack provided on arrival was fabulous thank you. Will be back.
Great location for walking this section of the Northumberland Coast Path. We appreciated the great effort put in by owners to give access to coast and keep walkers off of road. The cottage was welcoming with a generous selection of local produce. We would certainly recommend it to our friends and family.

We loved our stay at Nook cottage and are planning to book again. The facilities are excellent, and we felt really at home in the cottage and in the stunning surroundings. I cannot think of a single thing I would change.

With easy access from the A1 this lovely farm just north of Berwick makes a fantastic family day out.  Follow the farm trail and meet an array of friendly farm animals.  Kids will also enjoy the indoor and outdoor play areas, pet barn and tractor circuit.  The admission fee is excellent value and you will get a free bag of food for the animals and a bag of fish food for the trouts in the fish pond. When you want a bite to eat, the licensed restaurant is the place to go with quality home cooking and a charming location in some of the converted farm buildings.
