The Cottage Reviews

We loved our stay at Beeston Hall. It was easy to find, clean and comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped, we cooked every meal there including a Christmas dinner! The rooms were spacious and the whole house was cosy. Hot tub was brilliant and was great to sit and enjoy the view. Somethings which would be nice extras we thought might be robes for the hot tub, hooks to hang your towels outside and maybe a little book with some info in such as local walkspubsgeneral info about the cottage.
Lovely cottage, very well equipped and we had a great week taking our grandparents around the areas they grew up. Only recommendation would have been a handrail on the stairs as they were a little tricky for the elderly without one. Thanks!
Jessica
We had the most wonderful time at the Cottage, Beeston Hall. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the welcome treats much appreciated. A lovely oasis of calm with stunning views from the hot tub. Would 1010 recommend!
Beautiful cottage with lovely owners! Great location, will definitely stay again.
We had a wonderful weekend staying here. The cottage was lovely, the hot tub was such a treat and the view from the garden was stunning. Such a peaceful location too. Many thanks also for the welcome package. Our only suggestion for improvement would be to install a stair banister my mum is in her 80s and we were a little concerned that she had nothing to hold onto on the stairs. Otherwise the cottage was perfect for us, thank you.
Lovely cottage in a beautiful setting. Very warm and cosy, had everything we needed except that I would have liked to have rubber mat available for the shower. I found it very slippery when wet with suds and as a OAP Im worried about falling. Much appreciated bread, butter, milk and fizz what a lovely surprise that was! Thank you for making our stay even better than expected.
Gillian
This is such a lovely lovely cottage in a beautiful area. .I would have no hesitation in recommending
Deborah
Spacious and comfortable house, with lovely views and wildlife. Directions and information on the house and area were very thin as no folder but email. Some maintenance issues not addressed pity it's a lovely spot and the hot tub is great!
Jennie
Perfect cottage for a stay over not to far from home, stunning views, lovely hot ... Perfect cottage for a stay over not to far from home, stunning views, lovely hot tub, comfy beds, lots of space, love a wood burner, everything you need, thank you for the hospitality supplies on arrival, very welcomed, hope we left everything as requested
Natalie
Absolutely beautiful location, perfect cottage. Just got back from the most restful few days with my husband, 2 kids, baby and my parents plus two dogs and the whole time was just bliss. So peaceful, hot tub well maintained, high quality finishes everywhere, the bedding was so soft and the smell when we first arrived was divine, made even more pleasant by a beautiful welcome package. Couldnt recommend more! 1010

Lovely cosy stay at the cottage. This was a well needed family break to celebrate my mums 60th birthday. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the cottage was cosy, with home comforts throughout. The fire and Christmas tree were a lovely touch to give the cottage a Christmassy vibe. Lots of space for 6 adults and a Labrador. Thank you for a lovely break.
Had a great weekend. Would love to go back!
We absolutely loved our stay, the cottage is so much more than we expected and in a great location! We booked it to avoid fireworks for our dog and it was the best spot to do so, couldnt hear a thing! Such a nice touch being left bread, butter, milk and even a bottle of Prosecco! Wouldnt hesitate to book here again, thoroughly enjoyed our stay and loads of gorgeous walks nearby!
Enjoyable stay with everything we needed. Great area, great views. Host was very friendly and obliging. Would recommend and stay again.

Gorgeous cottage , amazing views . Just perfect.
Lovely cottage in a lovely location, Roomy, clean and comfortable with most things that you'd need though an iron and ironing board would be a helpful addition and bin bags for bathroom and bedroom bins. Lovely little secure garden with a delightful decked sitting area and hot tub with beautiful views although there is no direct access to it from the house, you have to come out of house and through a little side gate just makes life easier ,especially so if you wanted to let the dog come and go as they please. There are lots of walks on the doorstep and within easy driving distance, would definitely stay again.
Steven
Outstanding location to access walks, countryside and tourist destinations. Hospitality of owners and staying on a working farm with cattle, horses, goats, dog and welcome box, first class.
We had a wonderful week at Beeston Hall. So much to see and do in the local area. The cottage was very comfortable and the owners kind, friendly and helpful. It is a beautiful place to stay with fantastic views from the garden and some lovely, dog friendly, local walks.
Amazing stay! Thank you!
We loved the cottage. We really liked that it was an ancient building renovated to such a high standard. It was very warm and comfortable and all the facilities worked well. Having the ziplink beds is a very good idea and for our party, a major point in selecting the property. We appreciated the hot tub which was warm enough to use even though the weather was cold and we had wonderful views over the countryside. Some recommendations from our group a bannister was seen as a useful addition especially for older guests, a big teapot, more plastic glasses for use in the hot tub and a better fitting filter. One person was surprised at the request to strip our own beds. The only major difficulty was communication with Sykes as I struggled to find an email or phone number. Allin all we had a lovely weekend and I'd like to come back in the summer. Thank you very much.
Rebecca
Absolutely beautiful cosy cottage, with practically everything you need. Stunning views and so peaceful.
Had the best Christmas, beautiful surroundings, warm welcome and great local pubs nearby. Would definitely stay again! Thanks
Jennifer
We had the loveliest 2 nights stay at Beeston Hall. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. The beds were comfy in spacious rooms. We even loved seeing all the animals on the farm and cant wait to return!
Nicola
The cottage and it's location are beautiful. Owners very friendly and helpful. Short walk through stunning countryside to some lovely pubs.
We enjoyed our stay at The Cottage, and were made to feel very welcome The cottage was clean and the beds comfortable. Nice large kitchen and good stove for cooking on, with enough pots and pans for making meals. The hot tub was very welcome and has an excellent view! We even used the log burner! The weather was somewhat changeable during the week A couple of things that I noticed, a handrail on the stairs would be useful. My sight is restricted and although it doesnt restrict me much, a handrail on stairs is a plus for me. Also, oven gloves and a few more large plates? Overall our stay was very restful and pleasant, and I would have no hesitation about recommending a stay at The Cottage
This was our second stay at The Cottage at Beeston Hall, and we loved it just as much as the first time. It is in a beautiful location, wellequipped and comfortable. The hot tub is lovely with stunning views, and we loved seeing the goats this time. I'm sure we will be back, if only to complete the local walks again.
We loved our stay at Beeston hall. The cottages is wonderfully renovated but the original structure was preserved. We loved the original beams that were still in place. Upon arrival we got a fancy welcome package which made us feel right at home. All the bedrooms are really spacious and the beds very comfortable. There are two bathrooms. One is very big and modern. The others one is smaller but onsuite with one of the bedrooms. The kitchen is really big and a joy to cook in. The highlights of the cottage for me were the fireplace and the hot tub. After a nice day of hiking in the mountains we could come home, shower, relax in the hottub with a great view over the mountains and afterward cuddle up in front of the fire place. What more do you want on a holliday? The cottage is next to a working farm and the farmer was really nice. You are allowed to come up and say high to the annimals. Overall we had a wonderfull stay and would highly recoomand this place
Edward
The cottage is beautifully laid out. It is fully equipped with everything you need. The views outside are amazing. You can enjoy these views from the hot tub which is a bonus. A welcome pack was left for us which was received with thanks. We would highly recommend this cottage. We will return again in the near future.
Ferdinand
We had a great two weeks in a comfortable and clean cottage with spectacular views. Really enjoyed it.
We had an absolutely fantastic time, the cottage was well equipped, very comfortable, spotlessly clean and in a perfect location for walkshiking or scenic drives. We loved the log fire and the hot tub, and will be booking again for another stay
Stephanie
Lovely stay, owners were very friendly and helpful xx

We really enjoyed our stay at this stone built cottage in Ripponden. We visited Hebden Bridge, Heptonstall and had some good meals at nearby recommended pubs, Beehive Inn, the Fleece and Alma Inn. The cottage was perfect for our dog too, stone floors, nice field at the back which we were able to use for a quick walk. The garden has a low wall which our dog jumped straight over but luckily no sheep in field so wasnt a problem. Very well equipped kitchen, nice log burner with logs and comfy beds with good quality sheets. We also enjoyed having a look around the farm.
Rachael
Lovely cottage situated in beautiful surroundings, within walking distance to the Beehive where we had a gorgeous meal for mam's birthday. Lovely little touches left in the cottage of processo, bread, milk, butter, dish washer tablets ect. Will definitely recommend and return. Only real negative is no iron ironing board.
Beautiful cottage in lovely countryside but not too far from shops etc. Owners were extremely helpful, friendly & welcoming. We cant wait to go back
Fantastic stay and a beautiful house. We will be back as we loved it so much.
Lovely cottage in wonderful surroundings. Plenty of dog walks nearby, a short drive takes you to the moors. Plenty of places nearby worth a visit.
Fantastic holiday home for 3 couples. Especially liked the open area living downstairs, underfloor heating, stone floors, log burner, Bluetooth speaker, hot tub & extra towels, recycling system, views, the local walks, comms with owners, the sense of privacy. Wonderful place, very happy to recommend and return. Loved it
Catherine
