Our stay at Laithe cottage was fantastic. Myself and 4 friends had the best weekend. The property was amazing with great facilities. The hottub was also fantastic. We will definitely be booking again.

We atayed at Laithe cottage however they have a series of cottages with different setups to accomodate i believe up to 35 people. Laithe Cottage was really nice clean, easy to access and it included everything from sheets and towels to tea towels and hand soap in the kitchen. It had crockery and Cutlery and even had a roll of paper towel, spare bin bags and a recycling centre! Need to bring your own shower gel and shampoo. Laithe Cottage comes with a private hot tub which was absolutely fab even in the freezing cold although this is not available at all the cottages there believe others have too. Beds are comfortable and clean. Laithe has a ground floor bedroom, although only one toilet bathroom! Went with kids and they really enjoyed it. The staff are friendly courteous, helpful abd available.

Overall lovely property!

Laithe Cottage was amazing, clean and very comfortable in a lovely part of the Lake District. The bed in the downstairs bedroom was very squeaky every time we moved but we just swapped with our daughter, the beds were so comfortable and we slept so well. The jacuzzi was so relaxing, and we went in it every day. Our daughter wanted to take it home! The electrics went off a couple of times but the owner sorted it out quickly for us. We really enjoyed our holiday and would love to return in the future. Thank you to the owners, they have beautiful properties.

A really lovely place quiet, not to far from lakes and other interesting places to visit. Kitchen well equipped for cooking. Your own parking space were you can shut the gate and the best part coming back to the hot tub.

Throughly enjoyed our week at Laithe Cottage. Situated in a tranquil area. Ulverston is a lovely little town with everything you need, situated close enough to the Lakes to have wonderful days out. The cottage us clean and has everything you need. Loved the log burner in the kitchen, however it would have been nice to have 2 comfy chairs next to it, but not a problem. The hot tub was a fantastic addition and well used by all of us. Good shower and bath the only downside was because we were 5 adults 2 with long hair we did keep running out of hot water. On a positive note, we would love to stop here again.

We've stayed in several Sykes Cottages, but this one is by far our favorite. Nestled in a stunning and ideal location, the cottage offers easy access to all the Lake District's hotspots while providing a secluded retreat where you can truly unwind. The cottage itself is exceptionally comfortable and wellequipped. The owners live nearby and were incredibly welcoming, with their friendly cats and dogs often greeting us upon our return from daily adventures. Its one of the rare places weve visited where even the kids didnt want to leave!

On arrival the place was immaculate. The facilities on site and the I auction booklet was amazing! The kitchen was amazing aswell! The people the place and everything was just brilliant.

Beautiful cottage in a lovely setting, The owners are very nice and leave you be, the hot tub is a brilliant feature especially to entertain the kids. There is a lovely village close by with lots of shops bars and restaurants . We especially loved the farm cat that visited us daily .

Beautiful cottage everything was perfect. The owners have very good attention to detail, we went at beginning of december was delighted to see christmas decorations. The quality of furnishing and everything you could want in a kitchen. We loved the hot tub and the log fire. The place is beautiful and the owners was so helpful. Would highly recommend this place.

We had the loveliest time at Laithe Cottage. The cottage itself has everything you could need for your holiday and was a great warm base camp after a long day out in the Lake District. To my complete surprise my partner and I got engaged during our trip which makes it even more special for us and we will always remember this holiday. We had a fantastic stay at Laithe Cottage. The cottage was well equipped, comfortable and the hot tub was brilliant. You are very secluded and its nice to be in the middle of no where to escape from day to day life. The views are fantastic! Ulverston is only a short drive away which is ideal to top up on supplies. We would definitely recommend a stay here!

Beautiful cottage and a stunning setting. Very comfortable and cosy. Really good beds too. Shower needs some work, mould on silicone which is an easy fix and shower drain did overflow onto the bathroom floor. All in all though a lovely property in a great location.

A really lovely place to stay. Everything was as described and the hot tub and garden just added to the beauty of this place. Really relaxing. Only a 10 minute drive into Ulverston centre, which has everything you need and more. The cottage was very clean and had all the facilities we needed. All round a relaxing and great place.

Laithe cottage is beautiful. I could gladly live here permanently. Its well set out, immaculate and very comfortable. It is in a remote area making it very quiet, just what we love. I would highly recommend a break in Laithe cottage.

What a wonderful cottage for our 7 day stay. The rooms were clean and tidy and couldn't fault them. The views were stunning. We did have an issue with the hot water however when talking to the people who were there maintains property they came straight away and looked at it. Absolutely recommended this cottage. The hot tub was clean and ready for us on the next day after arriving. The area is beautiful with lots of walks and towns and villages to see. We enjoyed our stay and would come back again.

We absolutely loved our stay at Laithe cottage ,it is much bigger than it looks on photos. Plenty of space for the kids to run around .The cottage was very clean ,lovely comfortable beds it had everything you would possibly need.plenty of parking with its own drive and the hut tub ,sitting out area is huge . Set in a very quiet area a few miles out of Ulverston it was so peaceful and quiet.but not too far away to go for some lovely pub meals in Ulverston. There was just a couple of things we could not find or work .maybe more instructions would be helpful For the hot tubs hosepipe tap location and how to work it , the cooker hob and hot water timer.but other than that everything else was OK. The location is perfect as a base to visit so many amazing places in the lakes and the seaside We all have a great time and would definitely recommend and stay there again .

What a beautiful cottage, remote, quiet, tranquil setting. We had some lovely walks, relaxed in the private gardens and chilled in the hot tub. 3 miles from Ulverston, had some lovely meals out and got a taxi back a few times for 10 after walking there. It really is a gem.

A very enjoyable stay and a lovely cottage to base ourselves in. The cottage is very well equipped and the kitchen and garden were larger than expected. The shed was excellent for bike storage and the hot tub was most welcome at the end of the day. Ulverston is a short distance away and very convenient for any supplies. Lakes Coniston and Windermere are nearest and easily accessed. At this time of year end Aprilearly May the area was uncrowded and traffic very light on the roads around the lakes which made life easier. The family enjoyed their stay and get together. A very peaceful setting with lots of birdlife. Highly recommended.

My wife, two children and I had a fantastic 7 nights at Laithe Cottage. The cottage was spotlessly clean and very well equipped for adults and children alike. The bottle of wine, pint of milk and teacoffee was a lovely unexpected surprise on arrival. The cottage is very secluded and has lovely views and we've already looked to rebook. It has a lovely garden area with seating, tables, BBQ and hot tub. I would highly recommend staying here!

South Lakes Safari Zoo - LA12 0LU

This is an amazing Cumbria attraction well known locally as well as nationally for how close you can get to the animals. Described as the most interactive animal park in Europe it's well worth a visit if you are staying in the area. Open from April to end October some of the highlights are the tigers, penguins, bears, hippos and rhinos. At 2pm during certain seasons it's feeding time so don't forget to plan your day around this so you can watch the animals enjoying their feed. Look out for seasonal events such as Halloween Zoo Boo (free entry for kids in fancy dress) and The Magic of Christmas.

Happy Mount Park - LA4 5AQ

Happy Mount Park has attractions for the whole family including several play areas, a miniature railway, crazy golf, putting green and trampolines, there is also a paddling pool where the little ones can splash around in the summer and a café where the adults can relax with a drink. During the summer months and especially during school holidays live music can often be enjoyed.

Lakeland Wildlife Oasis - LA6 1JH

Located in the Milnthorpe area of Cumbria we love this local attraction. With an eclectic mix of fascinating wildlife and hands on displays this centre is educational as well as fun. You can wander around at leisure admiring the exhibits which range from chameleons to computers. Some of the most threatened species are kept at the park as part if international breeding programmes. Check out their website for the latest opening times and admission costs which are great value for money. There are discounts for pre-booked parties of 12 or more.

Rydal Mount & Gardens - LA22 9LU

Rydal Mount & Gardens are wonderfully situated between Lake Windermere and Rydal Water offering breathtaking scenery. The home of William Wordsworth from 1813 - 1850 the grand home is now lived in by the poets descendents but parts of the house and grounds are open to the public. Why not take a guided tour and see the rooms where many of the famous poems were written. The gardens are beautiful at all times of the year but in the summer offer a spectacular display of colour. There is also a gallery and a tearoom. Discounts are available for group bookings.

This is an award winning Lake District attraction and they have been operating cruisers on Lake Ullswater for over 150 years.
