Tucked away in the quaint village of Gargrave, 6 Lock View is a stunning escape to the South of the Yorkshire Dales. Set over three floors, this first-class retreat welcomes families and couples eager to get away from it all, with contemporary styling and luxury touches throughout.

Step inside and discover the modern kitchen, equipped with all you could need during a short break, including an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer, so whipping up a tasty feast shouldn’t be a problem, whilst the dining area is ideal for mealtimes. Open the patio doors to access the enclosed courtyard, complete with furniture and a private hot tub where you can enjoy a bubbly soak under the stars.

On the first floor there is a chic sitting room with Juliette balcony, allowing you enjoy countryside views or tune into the TV for your favourite shows, whilst the bedroom on this level comprises of a super-king-size with en-suite free-standing bath and walk-in shower, so you can decide how best to prepare for the day. Climb to the second floor where another super-king-size will greet you, this one offering en-suite shower room and velux windows where distant views of Skipton can be admired.

Both bedrooms are enhanced with boutique furnishings and zip/link beds, offering flexibility for varied party types. Gargrave is a pretty village which offers a good choice of shops, pubs and restaurants to choose from, perfect if you fancy a night off cooking.

It also serves as an excellent base for those wanting to access North Yorkshire as the character towns of Skipton and Settle are nearby with their picturesque architecture and range of activities. Coniston Lake is nearby and provides an idyllic circular walk, or why not hire a kayak or paddleboard and take to the water yourself?

Such a lovely peaceful setting and a very comfortable and exceptionally clean property. The property caters for your every need and the hot tub was an excellent feature which we used daily. Our hosts Nicola & Kyle provided everything we needed. We didn't venture far and sampled all the local eateries in the village which were all excellent. The stairs can be a challenge but we quickly became more efficient with our trips up and down them! Lock View is a perfect antidote to our hectic world we will be back. Thank you.

Could not be happier with this cottage. Ideal surroundings and very relaxing holiday. Dog loved the balcony, watching the world go by. Owners very helpful when we needed advice about how to turn on the cooker. We used the hot tub every evening, such a nice touch.

Another Perfect Stay Even Better the Second Time Around! This was our second stay at this wonderful property, and once again, it did not disappoint. The cottage is finished to an exceptionally high standard, with a real sense of luxury throughout. From the tasteful dcor to the attention to detail, everything feels thoughtfully designed for comfort and relaxation. The standout features for us were the sauna and the hot tub the latter of which we enjoyed every single day! Its such a treat to unwind there after a day of exploring the beautiful surroundings. The view from the firstfloor lounge is wonderful a perfect spot to enjoy a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. The location itself couldnt be better ideal for exploring the Yorkshire Dales and venturing further afield across this beautiful part of the country.

Beautiful house with amazing views. We didn't want to leave!! We spent the days walking our dog and exploring the local area and back to the house where we relaxed in the hot tub and sauna. Kitchen was well equipped and the beds were so comfy.

We had a fantastic time at 6 Lock View. The house has everything you could want & more. The view was perfect. It was an idyllic setting. We loved the hot tub, sauna & jacuzzi bath. Had a very relaxing stay & it was lovely watching the boats go by on the canal. Can't wait to go back next year.

House is situated right beside the Liverpool to Leeds Canal and in a quiet neighbourhood. Gargrave is a very picturesque village with all necessary services. Easy access to the dales. Lovely place in a quiet village. Exactly what we were looking for far from the crowds. Excellent location for exploring Yorkshire Dales, within 20 or 30 minutes of several walking options. Also great walks from the doorstep along the canal. Suitable for casual sightseeing or serious walkers. Very lovely and well appointed cottage and nice to soak in the hot tub after a long day out!

A perfect week, thank you Kyle and Nicola. Stylish, very comfortable and well equipped. We spent a huge amount of time just watching the comings and goings on the canal and through the lock. Supermarket, fish and chip shop and pubs within 5 minutes walk. Plus plenty of lovely walks nearby. Very sad to leave.

The 4 of us had an amazing stay at 6 Lock View, we were met on arrival by Kyle who gave us a quick but informative run down of the property. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and all the facilities listed worked perfectly even if we did have a little difficulty working the electric hob but managed for our needs. The house is perfectly located with lovely views of the canal lock fields. We ate the local Indian restaurant one night which was excellent. Everything about our stay was excellent, the only slight gripe was we found the table and chairs outside a little large for the limited yard space. Hot tub, sauna, jacuzzi bath all lovely, wouldn't hesitate to recommend and hopefully return one day.

An excellent property in all respects. it is well located with panoramic views of the hills and the LeedsLiverpool canal. It was very handy that the property has an electric car charger which was one of the main reasons we decided to book here. We were particularly impressed with the family members owning the property who were very approachable and helpful even down to guiding us to the property on our arrival. We would have no hesitation in booking again.

Amazing house! Very well situated with everything you could ever need within walking distance. The house is stunning and decorated to a very high standard and well equipped. The hot tub is a brilliant idea after a long walk. Sleeping arrangements perfect for two couples having their own self contained areas. Easy access to some moderate walks and great pubs. A fantastic property with a beautiful view x As soon as we stepped in, it felt like home Immaculately clean, everything you could possibly need hot tub and a sauna. We took our 10yr old chocolate lab Stanley who enjoyed sitting on the first floor balcony watching the ducks, barges and wagging his tail at every passerby. The wine, chocolate and milk were a lovely touch. Kyle and Nicola were great hosts who greet you in person the night you arrive and were available if you needed them. Walks for all ages and abilities Gargrave is a beautiful village with 3 pubs, a lovely cafe and gift shop full of sweet treats that take you back in time. An Indian Restaurant delicious and a Fish Shop offering tasty meal deals for all budgets. Gargrave is is a great base for Ingleton, Malham, Skipton and Settle too.
