Incredible visit to the stunning Lodge on the River. From the moment I saw the images I wanted a break here. Relaxed, secluded, peaceful and in nature. Potentially spent too long away each day but every time I returned it felt like coming Home. A Hot Tub looking out into the River, a comfortable bed and sofa as well as a well stocked kitchen full of cutlery of all different things needed. Ample cupboard and draw space in the room also, while there is a spot for a far available. If staying in in front of the fire and TV is your thing there is a well equipped TV to all the necessary streaming channels should you have them to link up to. So impressed and gutted to come away. A gem!

We had a lovely time. The location is perfect and scenery is breathtaking. It was just what we wanted for our Christmas getaway. Being in the hot tub surrounded by nature was so peaceful the coming back it and putting on the log burner just bliss. Kitchen was well equipped with plates, pans, mugs, variety of glasses including ones you can take in the hot tub! great set of knives if you plan on cooking, bottle opener etc. We met Gordon the site manager and Bailey the dog! when we arrived who was very welcoming and helpful. We hadnt expected to see anyone so that was a bonus. A couple of points of improvement The bed was comfy to begin with but as the time went on it became clear the mattress could do with changing upgrading as you could hear the springs at points through the night. The sofa wasnt the comfiest especially if youre there for a while and plan on spending time in the lodge for a secluded relaxing break. For a location like the lodge a lot of people, like us, Id imagine go there for a full getaway to relax and do very little so a high quality bed a sofa to snuggle up on is a necessity.

Great little place and the hot tub was an absolute bonus. Just what we needed after our long road trips walks around Scotland. The only negative was not having a welcome pack.

We honestly had the best time & cant wait for our next visit. The lodge was equipped with everything you need, all cooking appliances and we loved the log burner, made it extra cosy. If anything the shower could be more powerful. Thanks again we enjoyed it so much.

The location was lovely very peaceful.

For us this lodge was great. The hot tub was brilliant and although i sleep on a memory foam mattress i slept quite well on the spring bed. My wife swam in the river close by and being so close to nature had a calming effect. We met Gordan on our early arrival and he let us start our stay early which was great as we'd driven for about 8hrs already! For us the place was relaxing and close enough to Oban etc to make it a convenient location. We didn't use the log burner but it would be superb during the colder months.

Lovely place, quiet and comfortable with lovely surroundings. Its only about 10 miles from Oban, with plenty to do, you can walk the road outside the lodge along the river

Lovely little property. Feels like living in a tree house with a jacuzzi to top it off after a day out exploring. A little piece of heaven.

Took my young 8yr old granddaughter as a last minute replacement, we loved it, wildlife hot tub etc. Really rural,but Oban is only 25 mins away, Lodge is well appointed and panoramic windows offer fantastic views into the countryside and the river . Don't hesitate if this is what you're after.

Really lovely setting for a relaxing getaway, the owner is brilliant, just a down to earth chap who is on hand should anything arise which it did not. The kitchen has everything you would need and whilst we didn't use the hot tub it was always maintained and ready should we want to use it. The cabin feels extremely private and secluded despite being on the owners property which is lovely, and the area is full of wildlife. Shops and amenities are just a 15min drive away in Oban, which also offers ferries over to nearby islands such as Kerrera. Loch Lomond is just in reaching distance too, around 90120mins away and is well worth it for a couple of days out especially the birds of prey centre, and can even go kayakingcanoeing on the loch too which was well worth it. Walks are abundant from easy strolls around various lochs to halffull day hikes up various munro's. Slightly smaller than a Munro, the cobbler Ben Arthur was also a highlight, offering stunning views over loch lomond and beyond the left path up also verges on a rock climbing scramble which was highly enjoyable but not so enjoyed by the legs. Overall was a great stay!

Wonderful place. Had a problem with hot water during the stay but Gordon was spot on, got it sorted out quickly. Ideal place to stay, easy to get to Oban for shops and entertainment. Perfect break from day to day life!

Had a great time, considering the weather was dreadful. Was spotlessly clean, everything you could want or need was provided. Only down side was, never got to use the hot tube as the steps down to it, were lethal ,very steep and the fallen leaves made it very slippery. Gordon as always was straight there to ensure everything was okay.. Start of the year stayed in the 'Log Cabin' still can't decide which was better. Can't recommend enough. If you can, rush and book NOW!!

Beautiful lodge. Very clean. It has everything you need. The little heater warms the cabin quickly. There is plenty storage in the bedroom. It really felt like being at home and having a place for our things. Even in the bathroom, there is lovely shelves. The hot tub was bonus. Very private area. Oban is a short drive away. We had a great week here in October.

River Lodge was all and more than we had hoped for. We enjoyed two weeks in this beautiful peaceful setting. The Lodge was comfortable and well equipped. Gordon the manager was so helpful and courteous, nothing was too much trouble for him. We had the best time at River Lodge and exploring the Oban area.

Fantastic rural property but within easy reach of Oban if visiting the islands. Very quiet and private and very well equipped with everything you might need. And a lovely hot tub in the woods to help you relax in the evenings ! Recommended.

The lodge was just perfect for a week of relaxation. The kitchen is well equipped and the bed and sofa are very comfy, sitting in the hot tub on an evening was perfect. Gordon was really helpful, we had an issue with the shower but it was sorted quickly. We visited the small islands that are an hour from the lodge, all beautiful. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we've booked again so next year.

We loved the location and how private it was. It is right on the river, and next to some hiking trails, and it is pretty close to Oban and other surrounding attractions. We loved the wood burner and made plenty of use out of the kitchen as we cooked every night of our stay. The shower is not the best, as the heating controls are fiddly and could use some improvements to make it that much more special. I also think it would be good if there was a sign that explained the slightly brown water as that was a worry until I googled it. We only used the hot tub once on our stay, as it was slightly dirty and quite chlorinated. We loved the atmosphere of the lodge, including the lighting outside, but there should be a lamp in the lounge to give a more homely feel. Would recommend!

I stayed over for the week with my girlfriend and it was fantastic, nicely situated so you can go into oban for food and drinks or be out in the wilderness exploring. Would definitely recommend this one

Beautiful lodge,quiet peaceful location,spotlessly clean,very cosy,super comfy bed and had everything in it you could possibly need. Loved the fact wood was provided for log fire and Gordon the caretaker was brilliant,made sure all the steps were salted to our lodge and hot tub as it had snowed.loved it .

We stayed Christmas 2022 and loved every minute of it. Lodge was very clean and well equipped, even supplied with unlimited logs for log burner. The ground keeper Gordon I think, was very helpful and informative. We enjoyed our stay so much we booked for next Christmas. This lodge is a credit to owners who obviously have an interest in making sure their guests enjoy their time there. The bottle of bubbly and chocolates were also a nice touch.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the River Lodge, which had everything we required. Really comfy bed and the wood burner made it very cosy. Smart TV was a bonus, allowing us to watch the rugby.
