There are many country walks and cycle paths to enjoy, including to the dramatic Black Rock Gorge (1 mile), or take a woodland walk up to the Fyrish Monument (8 miles) for spectacular views over the Cromarty Firth.
Black Isle and Cromarty Firth boat trips are great for dolphin and seal spotting (there are several providers in the area). Dingwall (9.5 miles) is a short drive away, well worth a visit for some shopping and a bite to eat.
A little further afield, Urquhart Castle, Dunrobin Castle and the famous Loch Ness are all highly recommended as places to visit while you’re in the area. Stepping inside this beautifully converted, detached steading, you’ll find a bright spacious hallway with natural stone pillars and floor-to-ceiling windows, leading into the impressive open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner.
The dining area is a perfect place to enjoy an evening meal while enjoying the panoramic views. On a summer’s evening, you might want to head out onto the patio area to dine.
The large, stylish and contemporary kitchen includes a central island. The lounge area with vaulted ceiling, exposed stone wall and beams is the perfect place to relax in front of the wood burner and watch TV after a day out exploring.
Heading back through the hallway you will find a utility room with a washing machine, tumble dryer. The ground floor also features a spacious super-king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room.
Wake up and enjoy the views across the hills from the floor-to-ceiling windows. There is also a separate WC on this floor.
