The lounge area at the opposite end of the room has squashy seating around a Smart TV with a Sonos Move sound system and Google Assist. Also on this floor are two bedrooms, a double and a twin, sharing a fabulous bathroom with a roll-top bath.

On the first floor, the huge king-size bedroom has an en-suite shower room and French doors onto its very own balcony, plus there’s a mezzanine snug with comfy seating and a Smart TV. Your south-facing, decked balcony has a dining set for alfresco drinks and meals, and a sofa set for lounging while admiring the views.

Hidden steps take you down through the rockery garden, which is full of plants, shrubs, palms and foliage. From Little Petherick walkers can easily join the Saints Way, a long-distance footpath that runs from Padstow on the north coast to Fowey on the south coast.

Padstow, just 2 miles away, boasts an enticing selection of pubs, galleries and shops and is, of course, renowned for its high-quality restaurants. While there, why not take the ferry across to Rock or a guided tour of the North Cornish coastline from a luxury cruiser?
