Pen at Carines Barns Reviews

Kirsty
Really lovely comfortable place to stay. Well situated for exploring the area, with everything you needed for a home from home stay. Thank you
Jennie
Cairnes Barns Pen was absolutely stunning! Every detail of the cottage was perfect and it all felt very luxury. The beds are all so comfy and the linen was beautiful and soft. The towels provided for inside and then different ones for use with the hot tub were such a great touch as were the robes and there was loads to go at! The barn was spotless and lots of bits and pieces to keep it all clean during our stay too. The barns are in a really great part of Cornwall with the bus stop to get into Newquay at the end of the drive which we used rather than worrying about parking. Other places like lost gardens of heligan are only half an hour away and Padstow is close too. We had such an amazing time, the hot tub is perfect and the kids loved it......we hope to come back again soon.
Another fabulous week staying at Cairns Barns. Thank you Sarah and team. A truly relaxed week and a fantastic birthday celebration staying in Pen. Very much looking forward to October with the family and partners in Wesley Barn. Have a wonderful summer

Super 3 nights staying in this lovely & well appointed 2 bedroom house. The accommodation is quite new and finished to a very high standard. The beds were some of the most comfortable we have ever experienced in a holiday rental and the small details like robes and excellent quality bed linen & towels were appreciated. The hot tub was exceptionally clean. Just be aware that you need time after you have arrived for it to heat up. We would love a few more cleaning materials, especially a full size bottle of fairy liquid & more cloths but this is a very minor gripe after a lovely stay. Location is excellent with a number of fab beaches being within easy drive. Would highly recommend.
The legs on the sofa bed in the downstairs bedroom kept folding in, all else ... The legs on the sofa bed in the downstairs bedroom kept folding in, all else was ok and as described the downstairs bedroom gas a large single bed
Lovely cost cottage and very comfortable beds! Hot tub was so warm! Good location close to Newquay beaches and Crantock beach. Smuggler's Den pub in Cubert is a must visit for a meal dog friendly. Owner very responsive to our queries. Thank you Sarah.

Pen at Carines Barns was a lovely place to stay. The Accommodation was spacious and very comfortable. The finish is great with the extra luxury of bath robes and slippers are a great touch. The dog was very happy and settled throughout which was great. Location is nice and quiet but close enough to everything if you need supplies. There are great beeches in the area, which are also dog friendly. Overall had a great week here, very relaxing and would come back in a heartbeat.
Great stay will book again
Lovely property a great location quiet but close to great beaches and Newquay. Welcoming interior with all you need for the stay. Hot tub additional bonus. Nice welcome pack including Prosecco and nibbles. Sarah the owner was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend to others and would definitely consider a future stay here.

Lovely cottage, the playing field out front was great for kids and dog
Excellent facilities, the cream tea and Prosecco was a pleasant touch on welcoming. Everything is thought about so you dont have to. The property itself is decorated beautifully, makes you feel like you are home, the beds are so comfortable. Thank you. I will recommend Carines Barnes to my friends.
The cottage was set in a beautiful location and the place was lovely
Beautifully renovated cottage in a fantastic location.
This property was absolutely beautiful. We arrived after a long journey, booked at short notice and walked into a warm, welcoming stunning house. There was Prosecco in the fridge chilling and a selection of delicious cornish scones with clotted cream and jam, just one of the special touches that makes Pen a must stay. The house was immaculate throughout. Cream sofas and feather cushions, Egyptian cotton bedding, with feather pillows and duvet, complimentary dressing gowns and towels provided. Decorated beautifully and thoughtfully with oak beams and flooring, we couldn't wait to get back to this delightful cottage at the end of the day. Really well placed for exploring the area, we visited Padstow, St Ives, Truro, Newquay. Polly Jolly beach and the seals were 5 minutes away, as we're a handful of National Trust beaches. Nearest pub is a 510 min drive and Morrisons a few minutes away. We are a family of 5 with a dog and would definitely recommend this holiday, we will definitely be back!! 5
This is a beautiful and cosy little cottage, equipped with all the amenities you need and more! In such a peaceful location with plenty of outside space for the children and dog to run around outside. Perfect location to the beaches and a bus stop at the top of the lane. Would definitely return and recommend to friends!
The property and place is amazing we didnt want to leave
Lovely accommodation in a fantastic location, couldn't ask for more! Sarah was very friendly & informative, looking forward to returning
