Lovely cottage with great facilities. Was a little small in places but plenty of storage space. Hot tub was perfect even in the rain.
Judith
A lovely little property, perfect for making your base while exploring Cornwall. The welcome basket was a lovely and very thoughtful touch. And the hot tub was the icing on the cake. We'd happily stay here the next time we make the trek down from North Yorkshire.
A lovely little cottage which had everything you needed. It was situated near to the village even though it was a steep hill up! Lots to explore around but you needed a car. The hot tub was a extra treat. Thank you for the amazing welcome hamper!
All was very excellent accommodation owner was very helpful
Fantastic place. Gareth has thought of everything that you could possibly need. The hot tub is a fantastic addition to Respryn, really helps soak away the aches of work life. We loved the stay so much that we have already booked to go back next year. Can highly recommend to anyone.
What lovely little place. Gareth was great host. It was very well equipped, clean and comfortable. Hot tub was spot on, especially after a long drive. Would highly recommend it to anyone, and love to back one day. 1110

I want to start in a positive note by saying the welcome pack was excellent and the hot tub was an added bonus, the owner even supplied extra towels. The accommodation was clean and tidy on arrival and in the location we wanted to be . Sadly it was way smaller than we imagined. The photographs on the site made it look much bigger than it actually is. The bedroom is a good size as is the bathroom as theyre part of the owners house. The lounge and kitchen it would seem are a converted garage, it kept reminding me of my nans old static caravan. It is actually the first time Ive ever stayed somewhere where the bathroom is twice the size of the lounge area. This was the deal breaker for me to be honest as the lounge felt so cluttered with a huge two seater and a small dining table. If I sat at the table my husband couldnt get past to get in the kitchen and if he sat on the other seat the access to the bedroom was blocked. We found ourselves moving furniture around most of the time to achieve daily things. The TV was just half a metre away whilst we were watching it. My first reaction was disappointment but after our first day, the rain stopped the weather was kind meaning we could eat in the lovely peaceful garden area making use of the table chairs, sun loungers were also available and a large parasol which was great. The kitchen was ok and fairly well equipped but I felt pure frustration looking for utensils in a bottom cupboard which where in a plastic drawer storage within the cupboard not easy when cooking, opening door and having to search each of the tiny plastic drawers. There are no pull out drawers in the fitted kitchen itself. The property did have a washing machine which was useful but I feel a dishwasher would be better as we spent far too much time washing up whist cooking because of lack of space on worktops. The bedroom was lovely .. much bigger .. lovely crisp bedding and plenty of wardrobe space. The downside for me though was no dressing table .. just a very high chest of drawers with tiny mirror above. Im tiny myself in height so struggled to put on my make up and dry my hair in the mirror as it was high up . There was a larger wall mirror across the room but no socket near by. I could have sat on floor there but I prefer not to do that in a place that isnt mine in fear of getting makeup on the carpet, so I used the kitchen table. Again this caused problems as it blocked other entrances and my husband wanted to get in the bathroom to get ready for our evening out. The bathroom is a tad dated but very clean with decent shower and a very very large bath. All towels were clean and extra had been left which is always helpful. The location was good for us as we dont mind the uphill walk at all but if you are elderly or struggle with walking its something to bear in mind. The owner is usually on site but he was away until our last but one day which suited us to he honest as we are very private people. He did however introduce himself on his return and he was very pleasant. We did pay a good 150 more for this cottage than previous ones we have rented over the last few years on the coast in Cornwall. Sadly this very tiny flatlet wasnt for us despite the hot tub. I used the hot tub twice and my husband used it three times. To sum it up .. we loved the location, the garden was peaceful, lovely and well equipped. The place is pleasant, clean but looking a little tired but the major problem for us was it was just too small for us. A floor plan on the site would have been helpful making a judgement from well taken photos can be tricky. We have stayed in small cottages before a with no problem but we wouldnt have booked this had we been aware of its lack of space in the kitchenlounge area.

Our second visit. Just as enjoyable as the first time, probably even more so having had the feast week recommended to us during our last stay. Gareth, such a friendly and welcoming host was definitely right, it's a great week. Respryn is a lovely property to stay in, everything you need and more than you expect. Thank you so much for another cracking stay, in a lovely village, in a marvellous holiday home. The feast week celebrations were amazing! We hope to see you again soon.
Michael
Host was very friendly and accommodating but not intrusive. Accommodation was adequate and bijou. Hedge bordering the property had been allowed to grow too tall restricting sunlight and would benefit from pruning. However property is located at the top of an extremely steep long winding hill and should be avoided by anyone with a heart condition or walking difficulties.
Enjoyed every minute. Our second time back and will be returning in the future.
Heather
We had an amazing time at Respryn, the accommodation was absolutely perfect, with everything you could possibly need. Very comfortable, totally private and with off road parking. The added bonus was the hot tub and sunny garden, which we loved and appreciated after a day walking the coast path! Just a short walk to the village, shops, pubs and harbour. Gareth was really friendly and helpful. We highly recommend a stay here.
Absolutely fabulous! ! Everything you need is this beautiful annex. Lovely outlook into the garden with great views beyond. The bonus of the hot tub was just great! Lovely and warm with the central heating on, the bed so comfortable! Gareth the owner what a nice man there if you need him, but if you don't never interfering. We could go and on just a great place to stay. Lovely welcome gift awaits you on arrival. Can highly recommend you won't be disappointed!
Carolyn
Fantastic place to stay , very nice places to eat the sharks fin do a lovely sunday lunch cannot wait to go back .
Nice and cosy place, hot tub was good, complementary items were good, host was very welcoming, really well equipped,

A second lovely stay at Respryn. Snug and well equipped. The hot tub is great for easing the muscles after long walks or for stargazing at night. The location of the accommodation is excellent for walking to the village a pint or two in the village makes the climb back up the hill much easier!. Thanks to Gareth, the perfect host too there if you need him, unobtrusive when you don't!

The cottage was fabulous. It was very comfortable with everything needed for a great holiday. Wee have. I hesitation in recommending this property as an excellent base to explore Mevagissey
Jeffrey
Had a great holiday, Gareth was a great host and made us very welcome and gave us a great welcome basket on arrival.

Our second time staying and it did not disappoint us the it has everything you could possibly want and the welcome hamper was amazing everything was super clean and the new hot tub was brilliant as was the new washerdryer Gareth is the perfect host and more than happy to help with anything during your stay I would recommend to anyone wanting the very best staycation
Nice welcome basket on arrival containing. Packet of biscuits, a cream tea for two, a decent bottle of wine. Could do with a dishwasher and not a washing machine in the kitchen. The owner leaves you alone which is good and the hot tub is great. Loads of wildlife in the area and overlooking fields. Very relaxing. Around 5 minute walk into town and a pub called the ship. Great atmosphere and food. Very quiet area. People that live in Mevagissey are very welcoming. Fully recommended.
Melanie
Lovely cosy little flat with everything you need and more. Gareth was very helpful and friendly. The welcome pack was a lovely surprise. Hot tub was great. The weather was kind to us so we had a great week. Mevagissey itself is lovely and there are plenty of shops and places to eat. The hill to and from the flat was a challenge! Fab holiday.
Everything spotless, well equipped and a lovely welcome pack provided. Very quiet but only 10 minute walk to the centre of Mevagissey and beach. Owner friendly and helpful but not intrusive.
Sharon
This property is a little gem. The property was so comfortable the garden patio and hot tub was an added bonus. It was so lovely to comeback and sit out in the garden in the warm weather. The welcome pack was lovely and so good that there was milk put in the fridge. We had such a great holiday here and it was so peaceful and quiet.
It was a good stay, but a bit short of space in the indoor sitting dining area. Not a problem in warm weather when you can enjoy the private garden, but a bit confining on wet or cold days. The outdor spa tub was excellent for stargazing on clear evenings!
Lovely cottage with all amenities. Hot Tub was very good, clean and serviced regularly. Central location for tourist visits and nice village with shops, restaurants and pubs. Host was very attentive and helpful. We will be back.
Couldn't be be better for a Mevagissy stay. Just a short walk up a fairly steep hill from the town centre. Very clean place, hot tub immaculate and such a welcome pack from the owner. It is quite small but enough for any couple and very well equipped with every kitchen requirement you would need.
Beautiful place to stay. The standard of cleanliness was outstanding. The welcome hamper was a lovely touch and very much appreciated. The hot tub was the cherry on the cake. All in all a great stay unfortunately the weather was typical good old British weather but it didn't stop us.
Lovely accommodation, very clean and comfortable. Beautiful towels and bedding. Very comfy bed. Great bonus having the hot tub and also Sky a TV. It was a nice touch, receiving the welcome hampertreats.
Great location clean, great hosts perhaps a bit smaller than we thought but didn't effect our stay or holiday. Will return in future.
Adrian
We had an amazing stay. We arrived a little early but Gareth welcomed us, vacuum cleaner in hand and immediately gave us some great tips about the local area. We were able to leave our bags before heading off into the village in search of lunch. Upon our return, there was a fantastic welcome hamper containing all kinds of essentials and a couple of extra surprises in the fridge I won't spoil it for future guests. This was totally unexpected and a lovely start to our holiday. The property itself has everything you need, everything! Although it's compact, the only room that is actually small is the living room area. Kitchen, bedroom and bathroom are perfectly sized. The hot tub was excellent and clean, very private too. The garden and the outlook from it are beautiful, we could see a bird of prey visiting an adjacent field almost every morning whilst we had our coffee. Our calves are still burning from the walk in and out of the village, at 10 mins sauntering pace it was ideal for us and helped burn off a few calories after dining at several of the excellent local bars and restaurants. The bed was comfy, the towels all super soft and the bath massive & shower were excellent. There's not much more I can add other than Gareth and Judith were both wonderful hosts and made it clear to 'give them a knock' if there was anything we needed, there wasn't as they seem to have thought of everything already! absolutely lovely hosts. We will be back and are already looking forward to another stay. Thank you so very much. Ady & Vix xxx.
Lovely little compact apartment, very comfortable with everything you could possibly need, friendly hosts. The extras were fab, hot tub, books, jigsaws, salt & pepper, cooking oil, hand wash, washing powder welcome pack is a delightful surprise, close to shops and pubs though its a steep walk back!
Lovely cottage, great views & friendly owners made a really enjoyable weeks break.
Excellent accommodation. Hot tub added bonus. Friendly welcoming hosts. Would definitely recommend.
Very nice welcome on arrival , welcome pack lovely. The main problem we found was the location of the property being at the top of a steep hill. The gradient of the hill was not suitable for people of our age group who may have walking difficulties. Sykes cottages should inform clients of the steep hill. We were not told at all.
Although rather compact, very well equipped and ideally situated, with very friendly hosts. Probably best to avoid approaching via the town and come in from the back, as the town can be a nightmare! The jacuzzi is of course, the icing on the cake.
Amazing ! So lovely . We definitely would love to return x we felt so spoiled by the lovely hamper and fluffy white towels and all the extras to ensure we had everything we could possibly want. The hot tub was always ready to jump into .
Very nicely located. Very welcoming and helpful.
Tarran
Beautiful little accommodation, very well equipped and very clean, the property owners were very polite. Decent view

Loved our stay at Respryn. Gareth and Judith are lovely and welcoming. Perfect location for exploring Cornwall and Mevagissey was a dream. Recommend the Ship and the Fountains Inn but book a table as often very busy. Could not ask for more for a holiday. Loved it Jon & Tracey
