Littleham Court Manor Reviews

Michael
From the moment we turned into the courtyard we thought were going to enjoy our time here. The property is imposing with views from the upper windows across lovely countryside towards Bideford. The Manor has its own private gravel parking to the front of the property which is secured with an oak five bar gate. Theres access to the rear garden via the side and a six foot solid wood gate which is dog secure. The rear garden is private, partially lawned and a large patio with covered area, patio seating and table plus the fabulous hot tub. Inside, the house is on the grand scale with a huge farmhouse kitchen diner which is very well equipped plus a very large living room with large corner sofa unit. Smart TVs throughout the property allow you to access your streaming services. The central hallway leading to a gallery mid landing with views of the garden up to three large bedrooms. The beds are really comfy and we found all rooms to be spotless and well maintained. There was a small welcome pack when we arrived along with a little treat for our dog. The user manual for the property is very I depth and provides a history of the farm and properties which is really interesting. Theres an honesty box at the front which is stocked with eggs, jams and honey and you can order items of lamb direct from the farm. In addition theres a raw milk shack just down the road which tastes just like milk should do. Rob and Kim, the owners, are very easy to contact should you have any questions or issues and reply very quickly to texts. We would definitely stay here again as we didnt have enough time to explore everything in the area.
We really enjoyed our stay an Littleham Court Manor. Really spacious Manor House and more than comfortable to spend the week there. We loved the hot tub! My only criticism is that although this property and garden is very dog friendly, there is no where to walk your dog unless you walk the very tight lanes approaching the house, coming face to face with huge tractors and traffic, This wasnt a very pleasant dog walk. I appreciate there is something in the pipeline to allow dog walking on the farm fields in a fenced off area, but this is going to take some time to complete, so for this reason I wouldnt stay here again if I were bringing my dog. I drove to the local fenced 2 acre Bideford dog field nearby and paid 5 for 12 hour10 for an hour, for time spent in there, as everywhere around the house is strictly off limits farmland, with no public footpaths. It Gave Barney a run, but not what I had in mind. I think just some clarity on the description of the property would help fellow dog familys gaining an idea of where they are staying and that all dog walking is a drive out. Thank you
