The Old Roundhouse is a stunning detached barn conversion in Hartland, North Devon, sitting within the Hartland AONB. This is a genuinely secluded property with no near neighbours, set within its own large gardens on the edge of a working farm. Uninterrupted countryside views stretch in every direction and walks start directly from the door.

Hartland village is a 10-minute walk across the owner's fields and woods. Three pubs, shops and a coffee shop are all there. Speke's Mill Mouth beach is just over a mile away great for rockpooling and surfing. The North Devon coastline here is World Heritage designated.

The property sleeps 10 across 5 en-suite bedrooms.

Ground floor: Bedroom 1 (double, 4ft 6in, French doors, corner bath with shower) and Bedroom 2 (2 singles, wet room). First floor: Bedroom 3 and 4 (both zip-and-link super kingsize) and Bedroom 5 (zip-and-link double, accessed via external stairs).

Two living rooms across both floors.

Hartland Abbey is under 4 miles away (8 mins). Clovelly village is roughly 10 miles (20 mins).

Bideford is around 15 miles (25 mins). Bude is approximately 18 miles (30 mins).

All are well worth the drive.

To reach The Old Roundhouse by car, head towards Hartland in North Devon using the B3248. The property sits on the edge of a working farm just outside Hartland village and private on-site parking for up to 4 cars is available on arrival.

By Train

The nearest railway station is Barnstaple, approximately 22 miles away. From Barnstaple you can take a taxi or hire a car to reach the property. Bideford is also within easy reach and sits roughly 15 miles from the cottage.

Exmoor Zoo is described as a "family zoo" on their website and it certainly makes a great day out for families.  There are many exotic and rare animals as well as birds to see which are living in natural surroundings.  Some recent improvements at the zoo include a new 5 metre tower at the cheetahs and raised walkways at the "beast".  There is also a new viewing platform over the sitatunga.  As well as the amazing animals to experience there are regular fun activities such as face painting, daily events and zoo trails.
