Inside, the cottage has been lovingly renovated and enjoys a quiet position in the historic quarter of this vibrant village. At the front of the property, there is a fully enclosed courtyard with raised decking and facilities to enjoy outdoor relaxation and dining.

Double glazed doors look out over the courtyard whilst underfloor heating and a wood burner provide warmth in the cooler seasons - perfect for warming up after a brisk winter walk. Adjacent is a well-designed, high-quality kitchen providing all you need to enjoy family meals together.

A spacious family bathroom is also on this level. On the first floor, two stylish bedrooms are bright and attractive and offer flexible sleeping; one bedroom has a super-king-size bed that can be converted to two twin beds on request and the other bedroom has twin zip-and-link beds that can be converted to a super-king on request.

Braunton is a popular village with a wide range of local facilities including a choice of shops, restaurants and pubs within 200 metres. It is surrounded by lush green countryside and offers wonderful walks and miles of cycle track (with cycle hire available locally) along the traffic-free Tarka Trail that runs through the village, around the Taw Estuary and beyond.

The Stables Reviews

Lauren
A lovely cottage that is well placed in town and has all you may need for a short break away.
Leanne
We had a lovely stay at the stables- perfect size for family of 4 and dog. Kitchen had everything you might need, both bedrooms a good size. Driveway is narrow but you get used to it after the first day! Braunton is a great base for North Devon, Saunton sands 5 mins drive up the road and is dog friendly all year. Would recommend the Thai and pizza takeaway places and the black horse pub at the end of the road made us fell really welcome. Would happily return
Angela
The cottage is beautiful. The location is ideal. It has all that you need for a restful week. This is the second time we have stayed here and will definitely book again.
Sue
The Stables is really tastefully furnished and has a well equipped kitchen. A great central location for the fab local beaches and also central for lots of eating opportunities in Braunton and local food supplies. The courtyard is a great suntrap ! Appreciated that itâ??s pretty unique to have parking in Braunton and also the EV charger - we would not hesitate to stay there again.
Michelle
This is the 2nd time we have stayed here. Good location . Will be coming back.
Matt
Really great cottage in the centre of Braunton, very handy for the facilities around the place, and very easy to get around to the lovely dog-friendly beaches around the area.
Richard
A very warm, clean, comfortable and welcoming property that is well appointed with modern appliances. We especially appreciated the enormous television, wood burner and EV charge point. There is off road parking but the entrance is narrow and anyone with a large SUV would find manoeuvring challenging. We feel that this property is best avoided by the elderly and those with mobility issues as the stairs are steep and slippery and the bath is deep and not fitted with a grab handle. Despite these comments, we had a lovely holiday in this charming property and thoroughly recommend it. The "Aggi" pub two minutes away is extremely friendly and provides a decent menu at fair prices. Unfortunately because of the weather we were unable to use the attractive outside sitting area, but this property provides an excellent base for exploring north Devon.

Brilliant location, well appointed with some lovely homely touches. Excellent smart TV and well appointed kitchen. Well arranged and dog friendly with a guard at the bottom of the stairs. This was a return visit and we hope to be back again next year. Thank you!

A beautiful, comfortable, very well equipped cottage. Spotlessly clean. Everything seemed high spec. Good quality kitchen equipment, towels and bedding. The cottage is beautifully decorated with lots of lovely touches. Shops, cafes and takeaways just a minuteâ??s walk away. Beaches close by. We really enjoyed our stay.
