Foxglove Reviews

Had an amazing peaceful time. Property extremely clean. Log burner excellent and relaxed each evening in the hot tub looking up atcthe stars and moon. Cooked pizza's in the pizza oven. Elegant and Ed were perfect hosts explained everything we needed to know and then let us get on it with the peace of mind if we needed anything we could just ring and ask. Everyone should have a break away in Foxglove.
We had a wonderful holiday in Foxglove in November, we couldn't have wanted more! Elena was so lovely, met us on arrival and kept in touch throughout our stay. We ordered a savoury platter for when we arrived and it was fabulous and generous!, and Elena also added a lovely touch because we were celebrating an anniversary. The whole stay felt very special, even though the weather was very mixed. Waking up to greenery, cows and birdsong and deer on one day was such a tonic. The property is super comfortable and has everything you could need. We have a 3 year old and there's so much to do in the local area, and plenty of space for her to play and chill out. The nearby nature reserve was great, and with an unexpectedly brilliant new Thai cafe, really amazing food! This was a great first stay at Foxglove and hopefully it won't be our last! Thank you Elena, it was the break we needed

A lovely property and secluded location that was delightful. So many little touches made the property special and it was very well equipped with plenty of space and indeed outside space too which we much enjoyed. Owners were proactive in ensuring we had arrived without problems etc and to recommend places to eat etc. We will certainly return for a break away from it all and enjoying the countryside.
Cabin was beautiful as described however the outer shared area as described was totally unacceptable. Overgrown and dirty . Also the oath down to the back door needs attention as it's a hazard. Steep and rough surface.
This is an absolutely gem of a property if you want somewhere peaceful to reset. Also great for children to have somewhere safe to run about. Location wise lots to do locally as well as 3040 mins from the coast. The owners were really welcoming and the property itself was beautiful, well maintained and had everything you need and more.
Fantastic lodge in beautiful surroundingscannot recommend enough
