Sutherland Barn

Great find, parking very tight as cars par tight to the drive outside. Beds comfy, great kitchen, downstairs toilet. Shower in ensuite door does not close & therefore leaks water. Cleaning was scarce as dust & cobwebs everywhere even on the stairs, however despite being a shame, we still greatly enjoyed our week. We loved the house although it is for sale now.

The barn is really lovely and very spacious. It is very well equipped and nicely decorated. The hot tub was a great asset. Myself and my family really enjoyed our stay. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend this classy property.

Sutherland Barn is just beautiful. Spotlessly clean. We all loved the garden and outside space, perfect for our dogs and also for sitting and relaxing. We didnt want for anything during our stay. The owner provided tea, coffee and milk to get you started before you shop and each toilet had a roll of toilet paper. All sinks had hand wash and there were washing up supplies in addition to a dishwasher with a supply of tablets. There were towels provided for the hot tub in addition to the regular towels. The annexe is fab and a nice separate space to sit and watch TV if you dont like what is on in the lounge The washer and dryer are in the annexe. The village of Hutton is lovely and the pub down the road is awesome. Friendly with the most amazing food. Dog friendly too. We wouldnt hesitate to recommend Sutherland Barn.

This is a very nicely furnished and comfortable property with character and nice secluded setting with nice garden. We had a very enjoyable stay here. There is a small and larger supermarket about 5 mins drive away. The local pub just down the road is nice but it serves huge portions and there is a good fish and chip shop just beside the small supermarket. It would have been helpful to have had some instructions manuals perhaps about TV and all the appliances as they do not all work in the same way. We had to call the very helpful owner on a couple of occasions to get things working. Note property does have dishwasher which was not listed. Places to visit not too far away.

Perfect property. Loved everything about this barn from a large garden, to washing facilities to a fully equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. Had everything we needed for our stay. We felt very relaxed and at home in the property. Unfortunately we didn't get to experience the hot tub as it was out of use, but we still enjoyed our holiday and were given some money back.

We have stayed here before and liked it so much we came back. Sutherland Barn is lovely, great for relaxing especially with the hot tub and wellkept garden which our dog enjoyed too.

Nothing negative about this property. Well appointed, Great location with a large enclosed, dog friendly garden. Cherry on the cake was the amazing weather we had for the whole week. Would definitely return

Great communication from Rob prior to our arrival. Sutherland barn is very spacious, we were a group of 5 adults and there was plenty of room for us all. 2 of the Bedrooms were large with comfy beds ,1 with ensuite and 1 with large tv and air conditioning, the 3rd is a smaller double but a lovely room. Kitchen was well equipped with a big fridge and freezer. There were also plenty of hand soap, toilet rolls, towels and tea towels, dishwasher tablets, and laundry tablets for the utility area in the detached annex, which we used a lot! The garden was secure and fully enclosed great if you have a dog. Parking is ample for 2 cars and off road behind gates. The village pub is only a 5 minute walk where they serve good food and the staff are very friendly, we were invited to join the Sunday evening pub quiz. The barn is set in a quite area of a lovely village which we took a stroll around to marvel at the other beautiful properties. The barn is only a short drive into Weston super mare, where you will find all the usual seaside town entertainment.

We had an amazing time at Sutherland Barn and will definitely go again. My grown up girls, my husband and even my dogs couldnt have enjoyed their stay more. We ran out of hot water day 2 but a text to Rob the owner and it was sorted in 15 mins, brilliant!

We had a lovely family stay at the Barn. It was a very peaceful location, had everything we needed and a nice dog friendly pub 5 mins walk away. 10 mins drive from Uphill beach with more than enough parking on the beach. A nice soak in the hot tub after a days walking was most welcome.

The Sutherland Barn was just as described and we enjoyed a week's comfortable stay in it's semirural village location with the bonus of an excellent pub in easy walking distance and we can recommend the Sunday carvery!

This is third stay at the Barn, and it was just as great as previous visits. Its clean, well cared for and has everything to make our stay comfortable.

Perfect accommodation. Had a lovely relaxing week at Sutherland barn. The private courtyard and garden area was spot on. Plenty of room for my family of 5 and the dog loved the amount of space outside

Thank you for a great week away in such a wonderful property. Lovely touches such as towels for the dog, umbrellas if needed and a surprise bottle of Prosecco made it feel extra special. The hot tub was perfect and the WiFi coped effortlessly with multiple users and devices on all at the same time. The decor is to a very high standard and aesthetically pleasing. TVs had a great picture and the two largest bedrooms are very inviting to relax and sleep in. The garden was great for us and the dog to relax in. Local Chinese very tasty and Fish and Chip shop not very far with good quality food too. Lidl's 1.5 miles away making it affordable to easily cook for ourselves in excellent kitchen. Hutton is a pretty village and walking the dog was pleasurable in such a lovely setting. What more is there to say?! Thank you again

The property was really well equipped, had everything we needed, very comfortable and clean. The hot tub was brilliant, the fully enclosed garden was great for our dog and the welcome basket from the owner was a lovely treat. The barn was really spacious and the air conditioning lovely as we had a heatwave while we were there. Would highly recommend Sutherland barn. My family had an amazing holiday.

Fabulous, spacious barn conversion in a great location. Beautifully furnished and extremely well equipped, we couldn't fault anything. The dogs enjoyed the lovely secure garden and great walks straight from the doorstep. The Old Inn, just up the road was an added bonus. Would definitely recommend.

This is the second time we have stayed at the cottage and it was just as great as the first time. We can't wait to come back.

The house was fantastic, one of the best we have ever stayed in. Plenty of room for the whole family and all rooms were comfortable and were well maintained. The welcome hamper was a lovely touch! The garden was great for our dog, it was fully secure and spacious. Rob the owner was really helpful before and during our stay. We will definitely be booking another visit.

What a fantastically beautiful, peaceful location and property! Everything was up to date, tidy, and to hand. The owner was only a text away if needed, but won't be needed as everything has been thought of. There were 5 of us from two families with tons of room. So private and peaceful. Already have another stay booked here!

The property was lovely. It was very clean and had everything we needed. Rob, the owner, was responsive and ensured our stay was great. It's a great location and the village has some lovely walks and a great pub nearby. We can't wait to stay again. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Fantastic property. Easy reach to Weston, Brean and Burnham. Kitchen well stocked with equipment. Had a fabulous half term week. House comfortable enough to spend chilling for the day. Local pub 2 minute walk. Also had food delivered. Can recommend.

This is a really lovely property and a great place to stay. The cottage was very cosy and comfortable and the hot tub was a great addition. There are lots of nice little touches in the cottage that make it user friendly e.g. in the kitchen there were plenty of tea towels, tupperware pots, a bottle stopper and a variety of good knives and, unlike a few cottages I've stayed in, they are actually sharp enough to cut. There's no radio in the kitchen, which was not a problem as I brought a speaker with me and the house WiFi is good. The outside space is great too and very secure if you have small children or in our case an excitable dog on the loose. The owners were helpful and quick to respond when I had queries during my stay. We were made to feel at home in the village pub including our dog, which is a short walk away, and their food was just right including a decent amount of vegetarian and vegan options. We drove to some good walks including Brean Down, which has a nice National Trust cafe, and around Cheddar Gorge, but you can do some good walking right from the front door and get some great views if you head up the hill. I also took my boys aged 9 and 12 to Noahs Ark Zoo, about half an hour away, and had a fun day out. All in all I'd thoroughly recommend the cottage as a great place to stay.

Clean, tidy house, lovely well kept garden and amazing hot tub. The owner was warm and friendly and most importantly my two dogs had a fantastic stay .

What can we say, the property was fantastic, well equiped, clean, such a great place to stay. Probably the most luxurious and comfortable self catering we have ever stayed in. The owner Rob was brilliant, one of the party recently broke her leg, and he sorted out accomodation on the ground floor of the annexe. Definately went the extra mile. We highly recommend this. Sutherland Barn has to be one of the cleanest and most comfortable holiday homes we have stayed in. The host is very approachable and helpful and the location is perfect for short drives to the coastal resorts nearby. Would love to stay here again in the future.

We had the honour of being the first to stay in the newly refurbished property, and every detail had been thought of and a very well equipped place to stay, finished to a high standard. Had a great stay with the location great for local amenities as well as the beaches a short drive away. Would highly recommend and already looking to rebook!
