Bodior Lodge Reviews

What a wonderful way to spend new year. The lodge is cute and quirky. We found the stay perfect, lots of finishing touches and considered amenities. The Coastal walk is stunning we did 10 miles with our 2 dogs and 6 year old, great place to come back to, hop in the hot tub, then relax by the fire. We filled the feeders but didn't catch a red squirrel. We did see a pheasant though. Such a lovely homely place to stay, we had everything we needed. Thank you
Richard
A wonderfully relaxing week. The cottage is in the perfect location for us remote and near many of the fantastic beaches Anglesey has to offer. The Xmas tree and decorations were a nice touch we stayed over Xmas. The cottage is very comfortable, particularly the beds. There's a combi boiler so plenty of hot water. The hot tub was well worth the extra we used it every day. What capped it all was the red squirrels. If you fill the feeders regularly with the nuts provided in large supply, you'll see them several times a day, and every day! We also saw 2 pheasants regularly in the garden.

Bodior Lodge is a delightful warm and cosy dog friendly cottage equipped with everything you need for a relaxing holiday in lovely surroundings, even in the recent wintery storms! It was delightful watching the Red Squirrels and varied bird life in the garden and ideally located for the areas beaches and dunes. The position is also perfect for all the local restaurants, attractions and local facilities. When we encountered a minor issue the owners were excellent and very responsive and we couldnt fault them. We hope to return in the near future. Jonathan & Lucy
Quirky and quaint! The quintessential quiet and remote Welsh stone cottage. Comfortable, cosy and in complete contrast to the hustle and bustle of South Wales, and a large modern 'executive' home. A complete change just what we needed. Our Alaskan Malamute, Cairo, loved the garden and patrolled the perimeter fence but despite him we did see a red squirrel. He chose to sleep on the tiled floor, guarding the front door. Highlights of our excellent week were South Stack, Ynys Llanddywn, Rhosneigr, Beaumaris Castle when on a blustery afternoon we appreciated to be the only visitors! and crab and sea bass suppers courtesy of Siop Y Cranc in Benllech. Time well spent and greatly enjoyed. Thank you

The cottage was very warm and cosy. All beds very comfortable. All equipment worked perfectly. The garden was very secure for our dog and provided good parking space for our 2 cars. The location was ideal as not too far from the A55 and close to good beaches and restaurants.
Our second visit & once again we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage is the perfect location and lovely to come 'home' to after busy days exploring with our 2 muppets Apple tree a slight challenge with 2 greedy labs. We've enjoyed evening strolls down the lane at the beach in Rhoscolyn but also ventured further afield to Llanberis & Llyn Padarn but particularly have loved exploring Newborough Forest & Ynys Llanddwyn. Point Lynas was a challenge during Storm Benjamin in the hope of seeing dolphins, plenty of seals but maybe a little rough for dolphins! Cemlyn Bay also spectacular we've loved it all and hope to be back!
We loved our stay at Bodior Lodge, the location was perfect, rural but not isolated. We really appreciated the fruit loaf, welcome card, homemade jam and fresh milk on arrival. Enjoyed local days out to silver bay, white eagle, south stack lighthouse, Trebaddur Bay and further afield to Greenwood park, Beaumaris, Newborough Beach. We loved retreating to the hot tub at the end of the day and watching the red squirrel on the hazelnut feeder was special. We enjoyed finding out a bit more about the estate and would have liked to have met the owner but also enjoyed our privacy so no problem. The decor was very cleverly designed to create comfort and personality. If anything to further enhance our experience it would have been nice to have a few more sun loungers we were blessed with amazing weather and kept getting kicked off both of them by our kids! Perhaps also if the furniture drawers could open easier in the front bedroom but thats all! We have made some special memories, its been our best holiday for years, and would like to think we would return one day. Thank you so much for letting us stay in this special place.

Superb location, wonderful beach 20 minutes walk from house. The property boundary was secured allowing our two Jack Russells to wander freely. Watching Red squirrels from the hot tub a real bonus. I would throughly recommend this property.
Such a peaceful location and a lovely cosy house. We found the beds really comfortable, loved the colourful and thoughtful decor and all the homely touches. The hot tub was a wonderful bonus and we used it every night of our stay, for a wind down before bed. We heard sparrowhawks in the garden and spotted them locally when out walking, as well as seeing up close a woodpecker tapping away on a tree in the garden. Some great beaches in the area and wonderful places to visit, we heartily recommend a walk on Holyhead mountain, a trip to Newborough Forest and a boat trip from Beaumaris, all within easy driving distance. We also took walks from the front door, along the coastal path and really enjoyed the ease of access to this and some stunning scenery from the cliff tops. A fabulous location and a very comfortable house to stay in.

Beautiful cottage for a one week holiday. Quiet and peaceful location. Very artistically decorated. Well equipped with everything we needed. Hot tub was amazing, surrounded by wildlife garden. Dressing gowns were an extra special touch. The garden was very secure for our silly spaniel. Lovely walks from the cottage to the coast.
This is a truly fabulous property, very comfortable with everything you could need provided. Such a beautiful & relaxing location, particularly thrilled to watch the red squirrel on the feeder while sitting in the garden! The garden is a relaxing, safe space for the dogs which gave us great peace of mind. With easy access to stunning walks locally & others not far, we really relaxed & had an absolute stunning 5 days wish we booked for longer but will definitely return & recommend to friends. The White Eagle is superb, excellent food & friendly staff. Thank you so much
A lovely lodge, loved the hot tub and some lovely walks.
We've had a wonderful stay at Bodior Lodge what a gorgeous cottage inside and out with everything we needed! Highlights include all the beaches, The White Eagle and pancakes at Mojos. Thanks so much, really hope to be back.

Weve had a wonderful stay and cant wait to come back to see more of this beautiful place. Our top tips for future guests Climb Holyhead mountain for spectacular views & a scramble. Get chocolate milkshakes from the little DIY hut in Rhosneigr. Kids cant wait to return.
We have been blessed with a full week of beautiful weather & enjoyed our stay at Bodior Lodge immensely. Lots of thoughtful luxurious! touches Egyptian cotton bedding, Nespresso machine, vintage books & items from Bodior helped us connect with the estate. We loved the art & pictures too, and family photos made us feel like we were staying with friends. We know the island well & even after all these years, it never disappoints. We will be back! Thank you.
Bodior Lodge was one of the best holiday rentals we have ever stayed in. Its like home from home. The house had everything you need for a stay, you really felt special. Thank you Emma. Sykes on the other hand were a nightmare. You can not speak to anyone. I did get a text, but even those were patronising. 90 to clean after 2 dogs is excessive. Our dogs dont malt and are very well behaved. Thank you Emma, the owner, for looking after us so well.
Barbara
It is a lovely little gate lodge in a lovely setting. .It's near to a fabulouse beach and a bar restaurant. It's perfect for dogs and the garden is well enclosed although our little Yorkie could get under the fence she didn't venture very far and came back when called. All in all a Fab holiday and would return time and again.
