Refail Fach Reviews

Stephen
What a lovely fantastic week we had . Very relaxing and plenty of space . Thank you so much Alison and Barry we will definitely be returning again . We were taken away with the first impression of the well kept property you should be very proud of yourselves. Thank you once again. Steve and family.
We loved our second stay at Refail Fach. It is so comfortable and clean and relaxing. We enjoyed a trip out to a different beach each day, and an ice cream or coffee, followed by a relaxed evening in the cosy lounge. Our dogs loved being with us all day and we appreciated the enclosed garden for them. Im already looking forward to my next visit
Beautiful place to stay. Had a great week despite the terrible weather. Even enjoyed the hot tub in the wind and rain. Nice big walkin shower which is great for everyone, but especially when you have a wet dog straight in through the front door, no mess. Lots of places to see, but as always, not enough time. The owners were very welcoming and friendly. Would definitely return. Highly recommended.
Beautiful spacious house and fully enclosed safe garden for our dog. Spotlessly clean, all mod cons, everything thought about to make a perfect stay, beautiful area for walks straight from the front door, comfy beds, very generous welcome gifts including doggie treats, very cosy and warm snug. Unfortunately there were a few minor things that didnt spoil our holiday but we feel worth mentioning.fast and noisy but not busy, main road, bathroom vent made a lot of noise in the wind and the cover fell off and startled us, hot tub not hot enough to stay in over 15 mins as it was already set owner did say they would change it but it involved taking the side off the tub. We didnt feel we could ask them to do that as it would be such a bother, they mentioned health and safety. Draughty front door couldnt get warm in the kitchen area as the wind came straight through. Although it states dog friendly, we didnt realise that dogs were not allowed in the bedrooms or on the furniture, and we spent a lot of time and stress making sure rules were obeyed. Shes allowed at home. The doors to the bedrooms and snug didnt click shut so our dog could push them open, which was not relaxing for us. Overall these things are minor issues and didnt effect our holiday. it was a lovely house to stay in and we really enjoyed our time in Refail Fach.

We do a lot of rentals and this was one of the best . Alison is a wonderful host . The garden is truly enclosed . Our energetic gsds were totally safe . Beautiful lay out indoors . We loved it so much we have booked again next year .
This is the second time this year we visited. We loved the property and its location to all the places we like to visit. The property itself was as we found on the first visit lovely and clean, very comfortable and has everything you need, even the hot tub was still on and we used it in November! The welcome pack was really nice very thoughtful and of course we will visit again because its such a lovely restful place to be!
Fantastic Villa , perfect location . Will definitely be booking again
Rebecca
Our second visit to this super cottage. It's so perfectly placed for visiting anywhere on Anglesey. Super walks from doorstep, not far from coastal path. Cottage It's self is fantastic and then you get the hot tub. I was in it twice a day. In October!

What an amazing place, Alison and Dafydd were the perfect hosts, we had a couple of things that we were unsure of but they were soon sorted. The welcome gifts were much enjoyed, especially the home made marmalade,

A beautiful, well maintained cottage Refail Fach made our holiday even more relaxing and enjoyable. Our 2 dogs enjoyed chasing around the lawned area and thought it great fun to go out through one door and come in through the other. I have no hesitation in saying it's one of the best holiday cottages we've ever stayed.

We couldn't of been happier with our stay at Refail Fach, it was beautiful and had all the facilities we could have needed. The inside was immaculate and clean and was very comfortable. The garden and the outside space was spacious and secure for our dog and it was lovely to have a soak in the hot tub. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Absolutely amazing!

We had such a fantastic stay at Refail Fach. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcome and completely at ease. The house was spotlessly clean, beautifully presented, and had such a cosy, homely feel. Everything we could have needed was provided the kitchen was really wellequipped, the living areas were really comfortable, bedrooms and bathroom immaculate and the garden was perfect for our 2 dogs and of course the hot tub was an added bonus for us. The location was ideal peaceful and relaxing, yet close enough to beaches and towns making exploring easy. Alison was a wonderful host kind, thoughtful, and was on hand if needed. Its clear how much care Alison puts into making sure her guests have the best experience possible. We made such lovely memories here and would absolutely love to return. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a perfect getaway!
The property was beautifully presented, very comfortable and well stocked with all a family or group could wantneed. The host Alison was very friendly and there if needed. We thought the welcome pack was a lovely surprise too. The only draw backs to our stay were the lack of a second toilet facility 6 adults, the very noisy main road and the third bedroom facilities. In my opinion this room was only suitable as a childrens room not as accommodation for two adults. On the whole though a very nice accommodation and an excellent holiday.
Sharon
Beautiful place to stay, everything you need is there, clean & spacious rooms for everyone to sit and chill, washer & Dryer a bonus, walks to costal path from the house lucky to see dolphins. Lovely property

We stayed at Refail Fach cottage for a week in July 2025 and found it an excellent base for exploring Anglesey. The location, just off the A5025, offers ample parking and a secure, dogfriendly garden. Although some daytime road noise is noticeable things quieten down in the evening and through the night. The nearest town Cemaes, with its shops and pubs, is less than ten minutes by car, and Holyhead is about 30 minutes away. It is possible to walk from the cottage across fields to the coast but, unfortunately, due to there being livestock in the fields we couldnt make the journey with our dog ! The cottage has been carefully and sympathetically converted and beautifully put together. It is modern, clean, wellequipped, and comfortably furnished, including a spacious openplan living, dining kitchen area and outside theres a patio with seating for 6 and a large, private, hot tub. In addition to the garden we had access to a large field at the back of the cottage which was ideal for us to take our anxious dog. The owner, Alison, was very understanding and accommodating of all our needs particularly around the timing of her regular visits to check on the hot tub. The Welcome Pack complete with dog treats was a lovely touch. Minor suggestions include providing dog bowls, some kitchen roll, clear mention of a hairdryer in the listing, some milk on arrival, and some larger pasta style bowls, but none of these impacted our stay. In summary, if you want a base to stay in when youre visiting Anglesey then Refail Fach would be well worth a look.

We have just spent 5 amazing days at this property, and can not fault it in anyway the minute you open the door it has 5 plus qualities beautiful spotless well equipped property I've ever stayed in the beds were so comfy and the hot tub was an added bonus . Alison the owner went above and behond her role leaving lovely little welcome gifts and evening giving my daughter a birthday gift so thoughtful plus some delicious fresh eggs , which we all loved thank you so much
We've been coming to Anglesey for several years and this one of the best properties we have stayed at. Beautful single storey cottage, very spacious and comfortable, a tv in every toom which was a bonus!. The owner Alison was very attentive and helpful. The only downside was traffic noise from the road, which thankfully calmed down after 9pm.
Had an amazing stay at Refail Fach. The generous welcome pack set the standard for the holiday. The whole cottage was immaculately clean and tidy, everything and everywhere looked brand new. The cottage was kitted out with everything needed to make the stay comfortable even down to the towel and robe packs for the hot tub what a really thoughtful idea. Alison was on hand when needed and very warm and friendly. The beaches and coastline of Anglesey are absolutely stunning and the scenery breathtaking, we enjoyed a circular walk along the coastal path to Cemaes bay definitely worth it for the icecream from the kiosk at the car park Thank you again for having us all
A wonderful property, immaculately clean, a real home from home with everything we needed. Particularly liked the garden, as this was perfect for our two labradors to run around as was very secure. Loved the hot tub too, a lovely treat at the end of a day exploring. Perfect for relaxing and watching the sun go down. Alison the owner was lovely, very welcoming, and lovely treats left for us too. So impressed we booked again for next year. Highly recommend this property.
Michele
Our second visit to this 5 star property. Everything is of an excellent standard which makes for a super relaxing holiday. Would stay again .
Excellent in every way clean, comfortable, fully equipped and totally secure if you bring a dog. A lot of careful thought clearly went into the design and decor, and the property is perfectly situated for Cemaes and just about anywhere on the island.
Refail Fach is just perfect. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. It is warm, cosy and comfortable.. a real home from home. We love the shower too and the garden! This was our second stay and we will definitely be back again soon! Thankyou Alison xx
Its the best cottage we have visited in the past 10 years. Its just so welcoming when you walk in. Perfectly appointed lovely and clean and Im a real stickler. The fenced in garden perfect for the dogs who loved it. Plus a really nice hot tub just the best way to end a day of visiting places. Cemaes Bay is lovely great beach and we found people very welcoming. That is the case all over Anglesey everywhere we went we met really genuinely nice people. We loved it so much we are going back in October for another week and I think this may very well be our choice for some time in the future as well
Alison

Alison is so lovely and welcoming and the welcome gifts were fab and they were the freshest eggs Ive ever had.The garden is so secure for our pup to play in. Every single thing you could possibly want to make your stay Comfirtable and hassle free. Alison the host should have an award for her Friendliness....cleanliness and thoughtfulness in every aspect. Fantastic cottage to relax in and a hot tub being the cherry 9n the cake. I would gladly recommend the cottage to anyone i know...if they can manage to find a free slot. Think we were very lucky. Definately 5 stars in every aspect.
Michelle
We really enjoyed our stay here, great for our Daisy, our cocker spaniel, she loved the enclosed garden and the walks from the property are brilliant onto the the coastal paths. The facilities are second to none, everything we needed for a winter break. Thank you Alison for making us so welcome, we'll be back sometime in the future. Mike ,Michelle and Daisy
We loved our stay We appreciated the warmth in the property when we arrived, we enjoyed the open plan space which provided everything we needed Loved that our bedroom had also been heated, but to a lower temperature perfect ! Kitchen was well equipped I even made use of the weighing scales Shower was lovely and appreciated the large radiator for our towels Loved watching the weather and the fields and the murmurations from the different windows Really appreciated the very secure garden to let our dogs out into for toiletting it really helped me to feel relaxed Bed was very comfortable and we both slept well Despite my reservations we did very much enjoy the hot tub with bubbles from a non breakable glass thank you ! We nearly forgot to use the snug, which was super cosy and comfortable ! And the kitchen table was a good size for eating and doing a puzzle!
Lindsey
This house is fantastic! ! We had a 5 star stay from start to finish. Tastefully decorated and furnished and so clean and modern. The beds are really comfortable and we slept well. An absolute gem. The enclosed garden was great for our pooch and a real sun trap. We love the area and made a couple of trips to the milk vending machine just down the road for the best milkshakes. Take your own bottle to make it cheaper. Can't praise the owner Alison enough, she really went above and beyond to make our stay very pleasant. The welcome basket was a super added bonus, particularly the freshest eggs ever! We have stayed in a few holidays lets but we have to say this is our favourite so far and we would not hesitate to book this property again. Looking forward to a return visit at a later date, thank you.
Refail Fach is such a beautiful place. Alison the host is on hand if needed and does everything to make sure your stay is comfortable. After a small problem with the heating after the recent storm in the area, Alison had this sorted within minutes. The cottage is furnished to a very high standard and the layout is perfect. Enclosed back garden for the dogs which they enjoyed and was good to know it was secure. Hot tub very clean and in a lovely position in the garden. Highly recommend. It was our best Sykes stay yet. Good location too with easy access to explore the area. Highly recommended and we would love to return. Thank you Alison.
Rebecca
Had a super short stay. Cottage was spacious, clean and warm. We loved the hot tub also, even in late November! We liked it enough to book it again for next October.
We had an amazing stay at the property. Beautiful private and peaceful. Top class furnishings and space. Close to beautiful scenery. Will definitely go back.
An exceptional holiday home with a very friendly host who responds very quickly. Very highly recommended
Excellent property, one of the best we have stayed in. Alison is a superb host Couple of tips which I think would help 1. Access to a vacuum 2. Hand blender 3. Ceramic hob cleaner
Neville
The property was a real home from home. Alison was a perfect host and nothing was too much trouble. The sofas were really comfy also the bed in the main bedroom. All the furniture was of excellent quality The outside area was really clean and well Looked after. Our dog loved running around the secure garden . The hot tub was great to relax in after a day out . We would highly recommend this property to family and friends . A real 5 STAR property.
Wow, from the moment we arrived to when we left. We were met by Alison who welcomed us to a home from home property. Everything was absolutely spotless to say the least. The welcome gift was very generous & appreciated & even included a pack of treats for Buddy & Charlie which was greatly received
Shirley
Luxurious from the moment we went through the gates. Everything you need for your stay there and it was so comfortable and clean we could not have asked for more. This is the best dog friendly property we have ever been to and considering we always considered one in Norfolk to be the best, this is far superior. Lovely welcome pack which we had not expected and was a lovely touch. The attention to detail is second to none. The hot tub was a bonus for us. We had the best nights sleep all week as the beds were really comfy. All in all this is one holiday that I felt totally relaxed. Thank you to Alison. Shirley, Jon, Lacey and Harley
Refail Fach is stunning, a very comfortable and well equipped property in a beautiful location which is very convenient for exploring the local area both on foot and by car. Alison and Dafydd are lovely, extremely helpful and the welcome package was a very generous and kind touch. The outside space and garden is perfect and fully dog proof, which is not always the case. We had a fantastic week and would highly recommend this property. Thank you Alison and Dafydd. x
Angela
What a superb place. We had a fantastic stay at Refail Fach. The property was really spacious and extremely well equipped and we could not have asked for more. The garden was fully enclosed, which was great for the dog, and the hot tub was a welcome treat at the end of the day after trips to the beach.
Michele
Fabulous property with everything you could possibly need for the perfect holiday. Ideal position in quieter part of Anglesey but plenty to do and places to explore. Very dog friendly with fantastic walks for Milo our cockapoo. We loved it so much that we rebooked for next year as soon as we got home! Thanks to our hosts for creating such a wonderful holiday home x
