Fir Tree Shepherd's Hut Reviews

Louisa
We had such an amazing stay at Fir Tree Shepherds Hut, it was so peaceful and private, The hut was very cosy and equipped with everything you could need. Thank you Stephen and Gabi!
A very cosy pod, initial impressions were wow! . The views from the Pod and the field surrounding were amazing! Despite the weather! It was nice to have a hut with all the essential kitchenware including a stock of tea, coffee, sugar and other bits and pieces. The hot tub was a great addition and was easy to use. The outdoor seating and the fire pit were a good touch. Not something you get at many other pods. Similarly to the welcome book which included do's and don'ts, different places to visit and guidance etc. And the bed was so comfy, we slept amazing each night. Massive, thank you to Stephen and Gabi for the welcome and for providing such a great pod We will be back again!
Andrew
Fantastic accommodation, spotlessly clean, with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing break. There is a real attention to detail with all the fixtures and fittings, the owners have clearly put a lot of thought into it. The elevated and secluded position gives great views out to sea, even better when sat in the hot tub !! The weather wasn't kind during our stay but the shepards hut was always cosy and welcoming when we came back from a trip out. The underfloor heating is brilliant, making this a good choice for autumn winter getaways. Can highly recommend and I'm sure we will be back.
This is a great hidden gem near the seaside. It can be described as 'cosy' but has enough room to sleep, chill, cook and wash up and shower etc. The addition of the hot tub is amazing. Very blessed with good weather most of the week which helps in late September. Great base for visiting the coast from cardigan to Aberystwyth. Great sea view and stargazing at night
The Fir Tree is a superb place to stay for chilling and relaxing. First impressions when we arrived were Wow, the hut sits in a private field with an uninterrupted view out to sea. There is also a hot tub, which we couldnt wait to get into. Everything was lovely and clean, and Stephen and Gabi, the owners had ensured we had everything to hand. There is easy access to the hut, with an off road private parking area. Fantastic holiday thank you Stephen and Gabi x

We like to experience this type of holiday at least twice, looking forward to coming back during a different season. The underfloor heating was a boon.
Had a great stay for 3 nights, easy to find when using what three words. The owner was very polite and kept in touch ahead of the stay to make sure we found the hut and had everything we needed via text. Very relaxing location, just be prepared to drive to find the local shops as it is on a very steep hill. The hut had everything you need, spacious and clean, didn't need to ask for anything more.

The owners were nice and lovely people, sent us info and directions day before our trip which made it easier to locate the place and the welcome packages left for us were a Godsend for we were feeling really peckish after our long drive so thank you. We were not disturbed throughout our stay there which i appreciated for i liked the privacy of the place. The setting is secluded and tranquil, surrounded by a huge green space with trees all around. First morning, a rabbit welcomed us in front of the yard, simply roaming around it was lovely! We heard owls calling through the trees at night, and one evening there was a gorgeous half moon and a dazzling sunset, making the entire place feel even more magical, despite the fact that it rained on some days. The hut itself was nice and tidy and comes fully equipped with all the necessary amenities. There's a really comfortable bed ideal for resting from a day of sightseeing and outdoor activities which we had many choices of. The private parking was a plus, and the outside areas were nice. We enjoyed using the barbecue and the jacuzzi, especially the massage elements, which were extremely pleasant! There are two seating spaces, making it convenient to have meals or simply sit outside with a cup of coffee to enjoy the sunsets and seaview. We particularly liked the ecoconscious attitude, as most objects were recyclable or environmentally friendly, contributing to the tranquil, grounded mood. Overall, it was a lovely, soothing escape, and I'd highly suggest it to anyone wishing to reconnect with nature while enjoying comfort and simplicity.

Our stay was PERFECT here! ! It really does give you the wow factor when you first arrive. The hot tube, location, the way it faces the sunset are all beautiful. The bed is so comfy and I love the little telly, there are loads of apps downloaded. Cant wait to return. So much privacy.

Perfect relaxing break! Stunning property, with everything you need in a gorgeous private countryside location. We enjoyed seeing the birds of prey during the day and the sound of an owl at night from the decking. The hot tub was a real treat, as were the beautiful sunsets a perfect stay!! Hope to come back again. Debbie and Merf

We had a fantastic stay at Fir Tree Shepherds Hut. Having stayed in a few other shepherd huts before, this one really stood out mainly because of its peaceful setting and the clear attention to detail throughout. The location is beautifully quiet and private, surrounded by nature. We spotted rabbits and sheep in the field a couple of times, and seeing the red kites overhead was a real treat. It was the perfect place to switch off and relax. The hut itself is modern, well thought out, and incredibly cosy. It had everything we needed and felt very comfortable throughout. The hot tub was spacious and great for winding down, and we especially enjoyed using the outdoor fireplace in the evenings. There was also plenty of space outside, which we really appreciated. Stephen and Gabi have created something special here, and wed love to return one day!
Andrew
We had a fantastic time at the shepherds hut ,cant praise it enough it was perfect. The views the isolation and privacy that the location gives is spot on, the only noise you hear are the birds singing and the odd tractor passing , the bed was very comfortable and we slept throughout our stay ,the hut has everything you could possibly need including TV ,WiFi ,and cooking facilities , the hot tub was beautiful for relaxing in till late .Having met Stephen & Gabi you can see how passionate they are about the hut and thats reflected in the attention to detail , they have thought of just about everything apart for a cloths line outside

When the weather is nice this attraction is perfect as you can wander around and admire the superb range of exotic trees and shrubs.  They look different at different times of the year but one of the most popular times to see them is in Autumn.  With various events throughout the year such as Apple Weekend there is always something new to experience.  You can watch a 90 second film about this attraction on their website which is excellent.
