Burry House Reviews

The property is in a beautiful location and the house makes the most of the amazing views particular from the master bedroom. All beds seemed comfy and the sofas were comfortable too. Sadly, the kitchen really lets this property down. Only 1 small fridge, a slimline dishwasher this property sleeps 8, no microwave, chipped crockery from around 3 different sets, mugs that had family pictures and happy Mothers Day on them, not enough tumbler glasses, no oven gloves and the dryer doesnt work. It felt like the kitchen had been thrown together from a charity shop. A number of items had to be washed before they could be used oven trays and cutlery Considering theres such a huge utility room, many of these issues could be rectified by utilising this. Theres no welcome book which means you dont know what to do with the rubbishrecycling or any info on the property. Communication with the owners was good, but this could be lessened with a welcome book. No clue how to work the heating so we ended up opening the windows as the heating kept coming on when it was warm. Also agree with the previous holidaymakers the back door is difficult to lock. The property has such potential and the furniture in all the other rooms seemed well chosen the kitchen was like the forgotten part of the property.

We found Burry house very spacious, the beds were really comfortable and the sea views were amazing. Our dogs loved the large garden which was fully secure. Unfortunately there were maintenance issues which we discovered early on in the week. The master bedroom panel at the bottom of the bed was broken. Double bedroom headboard broken. Upstairs shower huge amount of mould all around the bottom seal. Back door wouldn't lock. Tumble dryer didn't work. No welcome packguide which is very odd. No outside bins had to call to ask where to put rubbish bags Kitchen doesn't have an extractor fan above the cooker so kept setting the smoke alarm off. Also, theres an oil filled boiler in the kitchen and the fumes each day were very strong. I think if all these points were addressed then I'd be giving 5 stars. The house would also benefit from dusting as there's alot if cobwebs. We still had a lovely week, it's a shame that there were alot of house maintenance issues, this should all be checked upon the previous customers leaving.

Burry House is a great cottage for large families friends. It was great to have the wifi, TV and TV projector. The hot tub temperature was perfect and the views incredible. The master bedroom bed was super comfortable. Many thanks.

Stunning quiet location, fantastic views from the house and garden. Thoroughly enjoyed watching the sunset from the hot tub. Great base to explore The Gower. House is comfortable, only used the master bedroom, very comfortable bed. Our dog loved exploring the garden, great that it was fully enclosed.
Lovely clean, well equipped property with fantastic views. The owners were very prompt in answering any queries. Plenty of room in the garden for the dogs. Would definitely stay again. Make sure you get a pin drop from the owners as the post code on Sykes web site takes you to the wrong house.
We have had the most relaxing week at Burry House. We stay in the area 2 3 times a year and have to say this was the best property we have stayed at in the Gower. The location is great, close enough to the shops and beaches but far enough out in the sticks to have a truly restful break. The house is beautiful, the views are AMAZING and the hot tub was lovely. We were not blessed with the weather on this trip but Burry House is such a lovely property that we were happy to just stay in anyway when the rain was pouring!
