This delightful abode is ideal for friends and families looking for a getaway to Sir Gaerfyrddin and the scenery of South Wales. The kitchen is a contemporary space, amply fitted with plenty of amenities allowing guests to cook up a storm, and from here you can find a cloakroom and utility for all your laundry needs, and a dining room with a woodburning stove. The lower ground floor offers a games room with a TV and large, stylish sofa, whilst outside you can discover a simply delightful garden with mature shrubs, a patio space for alfresco dining, and the added touch of a hot tub, where guests can recline after a long day.

The Old Vicerage offers a selection of beautifully appointed bedrooms, each with well-thought-out furniture, so choose between two king-size bedrooms with en-suites and a king-size with separate bathroom on the first floor, or a king-size or a bunk room, both with en-suites, on the second floor. From The Old Vicarage, take a gentle stroll into Laugharne to wander the grounds of its majestic castle, trace paths along the Taf Estuary, or visit the famous Boat House and writing shed once used by Dylan Thomas.

Families can head to Pendine to experience its expansive sandy beach, known for land speed records and classic bucket-and-spade days. Further along the coast, the colourful streets, harbours, and attractions of Tenby and Saundersfoot offer boat trips, seaside cafés, and plenty to keep all ages entertained.

Merlin Hill Centre - SA67 8BP

Merlin Hill Centre is a working dairy farm located deep in the Carmarthenshire countryside. Although not a petting farm the farm is still very family friendly with plenty of fun activities to keep children happy. The farm has a good sized play area and plenty of picnic tables as well as a Farmyard Heritage Centre where visitors can learn all about Welsh farm life and about the mystical Legend of Merlin. Get there early if you want to watch the cows being milked!

Folly Farm in Pembrokeshire is an award winning Farm attraction, offering fun for the whole family come rain or shine. The main attractions are the Zoo, Farm and Petting Barn and there is also a huge Adventure Play Area and a small funfair with traditional rides. Priced at just £8.00 for adults and £7.00 for children it offers excellent value for money. There are several places to eat and drink including a licensed bar and a family friendly restaurant.

The Dinosaur Park is located in Tenby and makes the perfect family day out.  Activities on offer include fossil hunting, Dino Crafts, Pat a Pet and the treasure hunt.  For both toddlers and older kids there's an indoor adventure playground, ideal when the weather is not on your side.  The high-tec activity centre is always popular with interactive fun and education.  New in 2010 is Hooplasaurus.  Check out their website for the latest admission prices and what's on when you plan to visit.
National Botanic Garden of Wales - SA32 8HN

When the weather is nice this attraction is perfect as you can wander around and admire the superb range of exotic trees and shrubs.  They look different at different times of the year but one of the most popular times to see them is in Autumn.  With various events throughout the year such as Apple Weekend there is always something new to experience.  You can watch a 90 second film about this attraction on their website which is excellent.
Pembroke Castle - SA71 4LA

Pembroke Castle is thought to be the birthplace of the Tudor dynasty and is an excellent choice for a family day trip. The castle one of the areas most iconic landmarks and features an amazing 75ft high Great Tower! Visitors can also take a tour of the Norman Hall and the Exhibition Rooms where the displays change regularly. There is also a Picnic area and plenty of open space for children to run around in the grounds and gardens. The site also has a cafe and a gift shop.
Dinefwr Park and Castle - SA19 6RT

Dinefwr Park and Castle is the perfect place to come if you like the great outdoors. These stunning ruins are one of the areas most iconic landmarks and are surrounded by breathtaking scenery and wildlife of all descriptions. There is also a 17th century mansion to explore with grand rooms and wonderful exhibits of paintings and tapestries. The gardens feature amazing floral displays and there is also a delightful Tea Room. Children can let of steam on the adventure playground.
