The Old Stable

We had a lovely stay at The Old Stable it had everything we needed. The owner welcomed us and made us feel at home. The kitchen facilities were amazing, the games cupboard was well stocked and the Amazon and Netflix on the tv was available to use. The facilities were very clean. All round a great stay. Highly recommend!

Our hosts Jan and John were amazing every step of the way. They made me and my partner feel at home straight away. The attention to detail, the coziness and small thoughtful treats just added to the experience. I recommend this cottage for anyone who fancies a trip to Conwy and surrounding areas, it's a great location. We would happily stay here again. Thanks for an amazing getaway!

The Old Stable is truly a well stocked home from home in a beautiful location close to many wonderful walks and places to visit. The outdoor area and garden are private and the hot tub is an added bonus for that bit of extra luxury. The owners are friendly and were dedicated to making our stay at The Old Stable cosy and comfortable. We like to visit different locations and dont usually return to the same place, however we would happily return to The Old Stable for the comfort and the variety of places to visit.

We had a fantastic stay at The Old Sable in Henryd. The hosts were very welcoming and the cottage was a lovely home from home with everything you could want for a comfortable stay. It was a great base for exploring North Wales, with so much to do and see locally. We especially loved sitting in the hot tub, listening to the local owls hoot! Fantastic.

The cottage was beautiful, spotlessly clean and the owners had thought of everything. The hot tub was great for relaxing at the end of a busy day. It was perfectly positioned for exploring and walking. And Tilly the dog was as welcoming and friendly as the hosts Janet and John. We will definitely be returning and recommending to family and friends.

Lovely place and setting. Nice base to visit towns and the countryside. Owners were pleasant and available to help if needed. Very comfortable stay and everything you need in the cottage for cooking etc. Very good.

The old stable is a lovely stay in the Welsh countryside. All the amenities you could possibly want with the added bonus of a hot tub. Janet was a wonderful host who was easy to get hold of and check in with us often!

Great place to stay. Easy access to Snowdonia, the coast and 5 mins drive to Conwy. Hot tub was great and hosts on hand to get it going. Hosts really friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

Lovely comfortable accommodation, great location. The host Janet was always on hand and nothing was too much trouble. She gave us information about the local area and heated up the hot tub ready for us to use at the end of the day. Would definitely recommend the Old Stable if youre visiting North Wales.

Wow... This little gem tucked away in the hills of Conwy is a heaven away from home. Everything you need is there. The hosts were very polite and helpful which made our stay even more enjoyable even down to their pet who was a joy to see wagging her tail at 7.30 in the morning. If you need a little break I would recommend the old stable, I can't say anything but praise for the old stable.

The Old Stable exceeded all my expectations. The property is beautifully renovated, with comfortable furnishings and was spotlessly clean. It combines the charm of an old building with modern comforts such as underfloor heating. The property is well equipped with close attention to detail, including a wellstocked kitchen, complimentary toiletries in the bathroom, an assortment of games, and books on walks in the local area. The wood fired hot tub is definitely a standout feature and was the perfect way to relax after a day of exploring the local area. The property is well situated surrounded by beautiful Welsh countryside. Its the perfect location for anyone seeking peace and quiet, whilst also being able to conveniently explore the local area, with Conwy only 5 minutes drive away. Theres lots to do nearby during my stay, we visited picturesque Conwy, including its castle, explored the beautiful National Trust Bodnant Gardens, enjoyed the Welsh Mountain Zoo, and took trips to RhosonSea and Llandudno. The Groes Inn pub, less than five minutes drive away, serves fantastic food we enjoyed it so much we went there twice! The hosts, Janet and John, were very friendly and welcoming. They went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful stay, including offering to light the fire for the hot tub so it would be ready for us in the evening. The thoughtful welcome gift of Welsh cakes and chocolates was a lovely touch. I cant recommend the Old Stable enough and will definitely be back to stay again!

A fantastic place great location being only a few minutes away from Conwy by car. Owners were really lovely and the place was fully equipped with everything we needed! The hot tub was prepared for us each night which was an unexpected bonus. Wed definitely stay here again.

One of the best maybe the best self catering properties we've ever stayed in. Comfortable, clean, and well cared for. Really well located only a couple of miles from ConwyA55, yet with the quietness & rural location that we enjoy. Really lovely & helpful owners as well.

We came to stay here last week to get a short break away and it was fantastic. Janet and John were brilliant hosts. Helping with the hot tub, putting on the heating for us on cold mornings and great communication if we needed any help with anything at the cottage. The cottage was spotless, cosy and felt like a home away from home. The hot tub was a great addition to the holiday, using it most nights. A perfect location for a relaxing break away with great access to historical sites and day trips around North Wales.

We have just come back from a 6 night stay in the Old stable. What a beautiful cottage. Everything was perfectly in place and of high standard and taste. The owners were away but had family down to look after the house and cottage. They made us feel very welcome and arranged the hot tub every evening. We enjoyed meeting them and were quite sad to leave. The town on Conwy was a 5 min drive and the castle is well worth a visit. We went for a jazz evening at The Hayloft at Bodnant foods, this was beautiful and the food was amazing. Lots of great places to visit and walks to explore. We shall definitely be returning to stay at the Old Stable and can highly recommend.

We enjoyed our stay at the old stable really clean and comfortable. John sorted hot tub for us for when we got back so was nice and warm. Good location and enjoyed throwing ball for tilly thanks for making us feel welcome.

Sykes Far and away the best experience weve had holidaying in the UK. Janet and John are incomparable as hosts warm, kind and attentive without being intrusive and the property is simply stunning perfect for a couple. Everything is very well maintained with all the modcons you need and the cottage is charming with a very cosy feel. The location is great as its not far at all from Conwy, meaning you are tucked away but also in easy distance of transport links, as well as Bangor and tourist spots like Snowdon if you are driving. Most days we could have just stayed in the cottage as it was like a home away from home. Absolutely recommend.

The Old Stable was a charming property set in the beautiful countryside of North Wales. This has to be one of the best places we have stayed at, Janet and John are fabulous hosts and nothing was any trouble, the stables are just so relaxing with a magnificent hot tub perfect just to unwind. The stables were spotless and have everything you need to chill out, Conwy is only 2 miles away with lots of really nice restaurants and cafes , we cant wait to visit again as we had a great time.

This cottage is the nicest cottage we have stayed in, a credit to the owners, who are a lovely couple very helpful and nothing is to much trouble. The cottage is spotless and all the essentials are on hand They respect your privacy, but also very helpful if you need them and we enjoyed talking to them. The cottage is beautiful, we had 3 lovely nights sleep, very peaceful surroundings. The hot tub was very nice with a relaxing glass of wine and if you want total privacy just draw the curtains. Location perfect, short walks or longer to enjoy the surroundings. Conwy is about 2 mile drive away, nice pubs and restaurants. Two pubs which serve food 20min. or 40min walking distance from the cottage. We used the local taxi company one night, very good and reasonable. Yes we will definitely return.

A relaxing and comfortable stay, we really enjoyed the cottage, it had all the facilities we required, the hotvtub was a great bonus for relaxing on an evening. A great location with plenty of local pathways and walks, good also for visits to Conwy and Llandudno. The owners were on hand next door for anything and were so helpful and Fri endly. We had an amazing stay at this cottage and the owners Janet and John were lovely. They were on hand if needed but left us alone to do our own thing, however, if they were around they were only too pleased to offer advice on where to go. The cottage itself was immaculate and the hot tub was easy to use. The location was slightly too far to walk into Conway and back but the taxi service was excellent. Were definitely going to return the near future.

We had a 4 night break at The Old Stable, I wish we could have had longer. The owners were absolutely amazing making us feel well at home and very welcome. They gave us all the privacy we needed and helped us when we wanted to use the wood fired hot tub which is equally amazing. It's super quiet and tranquil if you just want to chill out with a book and a glass of wine. The cottage is so clean and equipped with everything you could possibly need. It's home from home. We will definitely be going back. Thank you so much Janet and Jon. We will see you again x
