Ty Mawr Reviews

What a stunning property. It was exactly what I expected. Nicely out of town and plenty of walking opportunities.
Stephen
Very clean property in a fantastic location. The facilities were very good and the games room was an added bonus and helped kept the children entertained, the hot tub was enjoyed by all. An issue with the external lights not working were sorted out promptly soon after a phone call on the Saturday morning. A great place to stay. We used it for a family celebration.
We had a lovely family weekend ,house is spotlessly clean and very homely. Loved the open plan layout ,welcome pack tea coffe etc , and shower packs in each bathroom was a nice touch , the hot tub was fantastic with lovely views over looking Llandudno , plenty of towels to use after been in the hot tub, please could you supply some plastic glasses to use outside , we enjoyed the table tennis , table footy ,and darts . The beds are really comfy. Plenty of parking We will be returning
A lovely holiday home. It was spotlessly clean, and in a fabulous location. Be aware though, that the views are so spectacular because you're very high up! The reason we haven't given it 5 stars, is because we found there was not enough storage, or shelving in the bedrooms and Bathrooms. Absolutely nowhere at all to put your toiletries, apart from on the floor! A few more mirrors and electrical sockets around, wouldn't go amiss! Why do so many holiday home owners not think about ladies needing a mirror with an electrical socket next to it?! On the maintenance side, the kitchen tap wasn't very secure, and one of our guests loo seats had a mind of it's own! A folder with instructions on the various rubbish recycling, how to use the hot tub, where the one hairdryer was in the downstairs sideboard and any other useful instructions, would have been much appreciated.

Ty Mawr is such a lovely, comfortable house and the owner has really thought of every fine detail. Spacious, clean, very dog friendly garden and we really enjoyed the hot tub and garden. We found the owner to be very easy to contact and very helpful. The cottage was cleaned to a very high standard so thank you for making our stay so nice.
In a word perfect . This is the second time we have stayed here . Everything was just perfect , Highly recommend.
Lovely property and owner was very helpful.

Just minor things Needed more than one tea towel. Needed more than one chopping board. Needed drawers and shelves in all the bedrooms apart from the top one
Lovely place, lovely views, has plenty off road parking bedrooms are comfortable, with ensuites to three of them and a big shower room for the other two, the open plan lounge and kitchen suited us perfect, the front and back garden were a good size and you could sit outside, the back garden has steps up to a jacuzzi which had been prepared and a few more steps up to some benches where you can sit and admire the views across the bay, It is half way up the great orme so be prepared for lots of walking, some great sites to see, we loved the copper mines you could walk to them from the house we'd definitely go back there again. We would have liked some instructions on recycable waste, and on the oven, though to be fair it was easy enough to work out, there was information on the wifi, and TV and recommendations of places to eat, there are a lot of great pubs and restaurants and plenty of dog friendly ones in Llandudno, we did find the radiator in the top bedroom wouldn't work, but there was a spare one in the utility room, which we used. There are steps heading down into the town we discovered just around the corner, and if we didn't feel like walking back, taxis were plentiful and very reasonable, we loved our stay at this accommodation and will definitely return, and recommend to family and friends. Would like more information on cottage and surrounding areas
FABULOUS HOUSE IN A STUNNING LOCATION Thank you for letting us stay at Ty Mawr. Everything was absolutely perfect for our family holiday for 7 adults and 2 dogs. The house was so clean and comfortable, very well equipped and well furnished. We wanted for nothing. So cosy with the wood burner on and with the thick walls and excellent double glazing we felt cosy and safe and survived Storm Lilian intact. The goats took shelter in the garden overnight which was an added bonus. The outside space is excellent and we particularly enjoyed the tabletennis table and the firepit and seating area. Both gardens were ideal for my dogs. Couldnt get enough of the beautiful views especially the sunrises. Just one thing I found the instruction about the recycling and general waste a bit vague maybe thats just me! We will return
Katherine
Lovely property & front garden, which was secure for the dogs. The back garden was quite steep & not 100 secure for the dogs, so couldnt be used. Perhaps making this secure would allow those with dogs to make best of the hot tub area. The property sleeps 9 but the fridge was small. Another fridge in the outdoor storage area, by the freezer, would have been useful. Other than those minor points, we all really enjoyed our stay.
Murray
A lovely cottage in a beautiful location with stunning views. Grass area at the top of the back garden was an added bonus for the dogs. A few items worth looking at loo seats in both of the first floor ensuites very loose. The shower in the top bedroom uncontrollable either very hot or cold.
Michaela
The most wonderful accommodation in the most wonderful location. Everything about the house was luxury, comfort and attention to detail. The beds were super comfy and I slept the best I have in years. All the appliances were top quality. We felt like we were on a real adventure. Perhaps some sun loungers for the decking and a BBQ would have made the outside space even better. I really hope to return, some time soon
Lovely accommodation. Clean and modern. Lovely outdoor areas with lots of space. Like that each double room had its own ensuite. Could have done with a bigger fridge. Very steep, narrow road to reach the accommodation. Overall we really enjoyed our stay there and would definitely return.
Beautiful location, the views a short walk from the property are amazing. Not too far from shops and town by car and about 20 min walk and plenty to do nearby a farm for the children and tram rides, toboggans and nice places to eat out. The property has plenty of space downstairs and all the facilities you need, including a drinks fridge. There is a table tennis table outside and table top football inside and a darts board. Plenty of areas to sit outside and at the front with table and chairs and inside porch for cooler nights. Pretty outdoor lighting front and rear. Large table and chairs at the rear with decked area and hot tub, two tier rear garden with upper level grassed both with a beautiful view of the bay and promenade of Llandudno.. Plenty of space for a large family. Well equipped bathrooms and bedrooms, clean and fresh linen and towels. Well suited for dogs. Kitchen well equipped. Plenty of parking outside the property The property owner has tried to think of everything to make your stay a relaxing and enjoyable time and succeeded. Would recommend I enjoyed my stay.
We had a fantastic stay at Ty Mawr, it was perfect for our family break. The beds were comfy, the towels soft and the location and views were incredible. The pressure of some of the showers was a little low but wasnt really an issue. The house was in a lovely condition when we arrived and we couldnt get over how perfect it was for us. There was ample parking outside. The road to access the entrance to the property is very narrow so going slow and steady was a must! I received a very quick response when I had a question about the car charger when there, whereby the owner came to take a look the next day. We really hope we get chance to go back again next year, and for longer! It was the perfect base for our getaway.
Victoria
Lovely cottage in a fantastic spot. Everything you need for a holiday is provided. We had a great stay as an extended family over christmas. The issues we had were resolved very quickly by the host over christmas as well! thank you! Only downside is the mattresses which could do with an upgrade. Hoping to come back soon.
My family and myself returned home from staying at Ty Mawr on Sunday after a fantastic couple of days in this beautiful area. The photos of the cottage on the website don't do it justice. It is so cosy and stylish. The kitchen is fully equipped with every gadget you could wish for. However, the toaster was a bit temperamental
The beds we not the most comfortable the top bedroom I had spring in my back and didnt sleep too well, the cottage was lovely but there was some let downs ,there wasnt a freezer to keep anything frozen. Charge point wasnt working first couple of nights due to it tripping out but this got sorted as soon as raised , I found dog poo in the garden which was not my dogs also there was not much light in front garden to see when my dogs went toilet so had to use my phone torch.
The property is amazing and we had a fabulous holiday, we had just a couple of issues There is no door on the downstairs toilet which made it a bit awkward and people had to go upstairs when needing the loo, especially tricky when using the hot tub. We had an issue with the hot tub smelling but that was sorted very quickly. I would definitely recommend this cottage to friends, its located in such a beautiful place, couldnt ask for more.
Plenty of space for 6 adults, 3 children and 2 dogs. We had a very comfortable stay and so much to do in the doorstep. An ideal location.
Nicola
We had a great stay. The house was great everything we needed, and communication was good too
The property is in a spectacular location with lots of walking routes yet close to Llandudno beach and centre. The house is very well presented with all the equipment you need and car parking close to the house. We would definitely stay again.
Alison
Fabulous cottage we had a great time Was well equipped for us as a family pots etc even though we didn't use oven. Dishwasherwashing machine and tumble dryer available for guest use Plenty of seating at the table maybe a larger sofa for family of 8 Bedrooms were lovely three ensuite shower rooms Welcome basket was a lovely touch Great idea including beach towels hung ready for hot tub use which was amazing On the whole there is everything for a great weeks stay Be prepared for steep drive on arrival Goats visit the driveway on an evening We walked to and from town one day and to the top of the orme another Would definitely recommend many thanks for allowing us to stay
Shirley
The house was lovely, great views and plenty of space for us all. Struggled a little to get the heaters in the bedrooms to work how I would have liked and seemed tricky to operate so we were a little cold at times but the wood burner helped that. Lots and lots of Cobwebs, had no bearing on the stay and just a personal bugbear. We would stay here again and recommend it to others
Pauline
We were a group of ladies aged 40 plus. The property was excellent the welcome basket with prosecco sweets and chocolates was a nice touch also the case with coffee tea milk and biscuits .Hot tub with towels provided everything was thought of.The house was spotless throughout. We would highly recommend this property. The only downside was the wi fi reception but this is nothing the owners can do anything about.pauline and families
Tv connection was unpredictable
This is a wonderful Holiday home unable to fault it a fantastic base, which fulfilled all its promises.
Dianne
A lovely holiday cottage, plenty of parking. Close to mini amenities. well equipped. Peaceful location. Amazing views. Which stay again.A great choice if you have more than two dogs And wish to go on holiday with them. Also adjoining another holiday cottage owned by the same people allowing for greater flexibility if you have a large party.
Samantha
My family stayed in Ty Mawr in general lovely property plenty of room. However things could be improved. No wine glasses, no loungers by hot tub, no clothes airer washing line to put out clothes. Beer fridge wasnt working and fridge in kitchen was too small for the family of 7. No instructions for TV, so wasnt working no sound and wasnt fixed until the last day, this was disappointing. 1 Wifi for two buildings, rather slow with 3 kids and devices. No BBQ.
Stuart
Great base for our short stay in LLandudno, both families really enjoyed their stay
Jean and Thomas
My family and I had a brilliant time at ty mawr. The house is very large so every one could find a quite place to themselves if needed.the crowning glory was the large hot tub with the best views ever.
Ty Mawr is a great property in a stunning location. Views down to Llandudno and the bay were marvelous. The house was very spacious for our party of 6 adults and 2 children, with 3 en suite rooms and a big bathroom. Tables to fit us all around inside and out and well stocked kitchen. The icing on the cake was ahugehottub which we didnt expect. Lovely holiday.
Overall loved this place. Struggled to get the TV working for our Eurovision viewing. I also list a necklace so had to look under the bed and behind a radiator to find it, which revealed a slight lack of cleanliness. The hot tubeas a fantastic addition from when we booked. Back garden views of the bay are stunning.woukd definitely book again
This is a great cottage in a fantastic location. We loved the views from the back garden and the hot tub. The dining area was a great size for 8 adults, though we felt a little squashed in the lounge area. We appreciated the new freezer, but a larger fridge would be a good addition. The cottage was clean, however almost everything in the kitchen cupboards needed to be washed before use. Overall we had a great stay.
