With sweeping views and easy access to the coast, it’s an ideal base for beach days, scenic walks and exploring North Wales’s best-loved attractions.

With a private hot tub and games room, this dog-friendly cottage ensures memorable stays for the entire family. Inside, the cottage exudes warmth and comfort.

Calming tones and rustic touches are complemented by vibrant pops of colour and thoughtfully chosen artworks. The open-plan kitchen and dining area invite sociable meals with a large range oven in the fireplace and a high table by the window so you can savour countryside views with every meal.

After dinner, unwind in the snug by the wood burner or gather in the games lounge for friendly matches of table football, air hockey or pool. Upstairs, the three bedrooms – two king-size with en-suites and a spacious twin – offer restful sanctuaries, each equipped with a Smart TV.

A modern family bathroom completes the first floor. In the enclosed rear garden, you can soak in the hot tub, lounge on outdoor sofas, enjoy a BBQ or simply watch horses and goats grazing in the fields.

There’s private parking for two cars and secure bike storage. While away days beachcombing or building sandcastles on Llanddulas Beach or set off to stroll along the coast path, admiring views of the Irish Sea and surrounding cliffs.

The historic walled town of Conwy (9.5 miles) offers a superb day out with its lively cafes, independent shops and magnificent castle, while the Welsh Mountain Zoo in Colwyn Bay (6 miles) offers fun for all the family. For keen walkers, the Snowdonia/Eryri National Park is within 10 miles.

Welsh Mountain Zoo - LL28 5UY

Located in the North of Wales with a spectacular setting high above Colwyn Bay this is a lovely zoo which makes an excellent family day out.  Highlights include the Chimp Encounter, Penguin Parades, Bear Falls and the Children's Farm.  The setting is perfect for walking around and you can take in the superb scenery, roam the wooded pathways and relax on the grassy slopes.  There are many rare and endangered species to see and learn about including the Snow Leopards and the Red Pandas not to mention the Sumatran Tigers. You can also buy the experience of being a zoo keeper for a day, either for yourself or as a gift.

The Seaquarium in Rhyl is a fantastic choice for a family day trip offering the chance to meet strange and exotic marine life from all around the world. The sea animals here come from the depths of the Amazon, Pacific & Indian Oceans as well as from around UK shores. Slimy Eels, scary Sharks and creepy Piranhas are all there to be seen as well as beautiful and elegant Rays. The site also has a café and a gift shop where children can pick up a souvenir. The beautiful areas of woodland around the site are abundant with wildlife and ideal for walking, cycling and nature trails. A family ticket is just £10.50 so this is the ideal outing if you are on a tight budget. Seasonal tickets are also available from just £28.00 for a family of 4 and allow unlimited entry.
St Winefride's Well - CH8 7PN

St Winefride's Well in Flintshire is described at one of the 7 wonders of Wales and is shrouded in mystery and intrigue. Legend has it that the well first erupted at the spot where Caradog cut off the nuns head with his sword. The shrine was then erected in her memory in the first decade of the sixteenth century and remains one of the holiest places in Wales. The stunning temple and well attract visitors from all over the world. Water can be drawn from the spring basin within the crypt and is thought to be lucky.
Pen-Y-Ffrith Bird Garden - LL11 3AB

Pen-Y-Ffrith Bird Garden is an 18 acre site, filled with glorious woodland, dramatic gardens, streams, ponds and a 3 acre lake. As the seasons change so do the delights of the park. During springtime the bluebell woods are spectacular while in the summer the bog garden is a favourite attraction with some unusual displays of flora and fauna. In the autumn a walk through the ravine with its flowing waterfalls in not to be missed. There are also several yearly events to enjoy including the Bat walk in September.
Greenwood Forest Park - LL55 3AD

This attraction is really something special and has reached the finals of the "Best Family Day Out" category in the National Tourism Awards for Wales.  It's actually the only attraction in North Wales to be shortlisted for this prestigious award. Located in the Snowdonia region there are many rides and activities including Jungle Boat Adventure, Den Building, Green Dragon Roller Caoster, Treetop Towers and the BareFoot Trail.  Kids of all ages will love it here and we think it's excellent value as well.

The site has miles of attractive woodland to be explored and cycling and nature trails are very popular ways to see the best of the area. The grounds of the historic estate also have beautiful gardens with stunning floral displays and there is plenty of open space for children to play. An annual events programme ensures that seasonal activities take place regularly including spooky Halloween Walks, Christmas Carol Singing and Ranger led events. There is also a visitor's centre with a small shop.
Llangollen Boat Trips - LL20 8TA

Llangollen Wharf is one of the major attractions in North Wales and is an excellent place to spend the day as a family. The Wharf is situated in the peaceful market town of Llangollen - now part of a World Heritage Site. Horse Drawn Boat Trips are available along the feeder for the main canal and are a unique way to explore the area. Motorised Aqueduct Cruises are also on offer for those who prefer a slightly faster pace. Both trips allow visitors to take in all the magnificent sites of Llangollen Canal.
