Lodge Reviews

Sheila
Accommodation was absolutely lovely, didn't want for anything, really enjoyed our stay, and would definitely return, we had our dog with us, few minutes walk to beach , court yard at front of property was hugh, safe and secure, so he could roam around, the down side is . .. not just this property but we think the arrival time and departure times should be revised 3pm your day nearly over, im sure 2pm arrival and maybe 11am departure could be accommodated, as it is not really getting your allotted days , however this is just my opinion and would not really deter us from booking again
A cosy lodge in a great location. Plenty of storage in the property. Great secure outdoor space at the front of the lodge, perfect for our dog. Hot tub was great to jump into after our walks. Host was very friendly.
We've just spent a lovely week at the caravan. It was very comfortable for 2 adults and 2 big dogs. There is lot's of storage in the lounge area but lacks work surface in the kitchen. That being said, we like to cook some good meals when we are away as we have the dogs with us. The WiFi and sky package for TV is excellent, the TV is huge and feels like you are at the cinema. The beds are comfortable and there's a large walk in wardrobe. The hot tub was fantastic but needed the leaves sweeping up around it. Perhaps some rugs to wipe your feet on before getting in. The enclosed compound was secure for the dogs, so no worries about leaving them outside on their own. The only thing that knocks a star off for us was... No walk in shower!! Only a bath with shower head.

A beautiful property, ideally situated to many towns in the area. The host Jane was very friendly and helpful with things to see and do. The hot tub was lovely to relax in after a long day out and about. Would definitely recommend to family and friends
We had a lovely break here a couple of weeks ago, as described with a large enclosed space for the dogs outside, hot tub and well equipped lodge. Jane was a great host and on hand if we needed anything. Close enough to the beach and amenities Will hopefully be back again next year

Property is advertised as sleeps 4 but I would say more suitable to suit a couple and a child. Second bedroom is tiny with a double bed in it. No adequate eating area for 4 adults or seatingsofa area. We spent most of our time outside as it was too cramped inside. The lodge is beautifully furnished just too small for 4 adults and the dog. We cut our holiday short as we could manage with the tight space. Considering how much I paid for this holiday, to say I am disappointed is an understatement.
We had a great time , there was plenty of useful kitchen ware , plenty of towels bedding which where nice and white, this is a lovely property.
What a lovely little gem! The caravan was very clean and modern. The hot tub was a great treat. The owner was friendly and available if needed. The town had a couple of bars, chip shop, pizza van, ice cream hut and bakery. It was only a short walk to a lovely beach. Where dogs are allowed. Nearest main shop Tesco was only a 10 minute drive away. There was a little shop on the site next door for basics if needed. Only down side was there are dogs next door that do have a tendency to bark and howl but that couldn't be helped and didn't impact on our stay. I would definitely return in the future.
The lodge was modern and clean in an ideal location . Great for our 2 dogs with an enclosed courtyard and a large sandy beach within 5 minutes walk.
Very nice accommodation, ideal for couples. Close to beaches and amenities.
From arrival we were really impressed by the layout and amenities within the lodge. The lodge was clean to a high standard and was like home from home. The hot tub was great and felt private and Jane was very helpful and on hand straight away if we had a question. Would highly recommended for a stay due to the location and the lodge itself and hopefully will return again.

Absolutely stunning lodge. Very clean inside. Everything you need for while your away. The courtyard is fully enclosed and safe for your dog. We had a brilliant stay and will definitely be returning. Thank you
Arrived early and caravan was open and allowed entry. First impressions were good with nice sofa large sky go tv and nice bedroom with tv.Open plan living room and kitchen however far too many cupboards taking up room ...counted 14 cupboards in living room with nothing in them Negatives Lack of worktops in kitchen...no plug in sink lack of plugs ..only in one place Bathroom...stand over shower is nothing but a bath with shower hose attachment..not much good when 6'4 and want a shower....no wet wall or shower curtain. Hot tub....dated and the steps are situated at wrong bit as putting foot on slope of seat when entering...hot tub needs turned round Barking dogs a regular night and early morning. Pick ups and other vanscars coming into owners yard on regular times reducing privacy. Enclosed garden is good for dog however no grass it is just tar and tiles. Note There is no washing machine and tumble dryer and when I contacted owner re this on second day my texts were ignored until leaving day....owners did not make any effort to communicate or confirm all was ok during stay which was odd as caravan is in their back garden

Found this a good place to stay. It's secure outdoor area away from the road and passing traffic made it ideal for our dog. The closeness of the beach and dunes made it ideal for ourselves and pet.
Well equipped holiday home in a great location, great for pets, great
Lodge is lovely, clean and cosy. Short walk into talacre ,with massive shop that sells pretty much everything.Couple of nice pubs.great bakery too we loved the pasties. Then just over a ramp ,walk to the beach and iconic lighthouse. Lodge is a great base , with lots to do and see within a short drive. Hot tub was great to soak in later. Close the gate and your enclosed in so our dog was able to roam freerelax outside after her long walks of the day. Lodge was well equipped, although we didnt find a corkscrew, but luckily had another bottle which was screwtop. The only downside we found was the dogs in an outhouse next door. They barked and howled sporadically throughout the nights. With them being literally just the other side of the fence it sounded like they were in the room with you.My wife had to use earplugs to get any sleep at all, making her ears sore. To sum up Accommodation is well equipped and comfortable. local area and amenities are great. The only downside is next doors dogs at night. If you are a heavy sleeper, then this wouldnt be such a problem.
