About Gilfach

This delightful, detached cottage, Gilfach, is settled on the westerly edge of Abersoch. Savouring sea views over the St Tudwals Islands and nestled in a prime location to enjoy all that the Ll?n Peninsula has to offer, Gilfach is a splendid setting for a family or group of seven’s adventure in Abersoch.

The property provides guests with ample off-road parking for three cars and a boat, so you can take advantage of Abersoch’s fantastic sailing conditions. Upon entering the dwelling, you will be pleased to find a vibrant open-plan living space, adorned with calming blues and greens; kick off your shoes and gather on the leather sofa as the TV plays and the fire crackles away in the background.

After enjoying a show via the vast range available on the smart TV, move through the space to the eclectic kitchen, with blue tiled walls complimenting white fittings, along with a fantastic selection of integrated appliances. From here, you will also find a handy utility, perfect for freshening up your wardrobe between activities.

When dinner is ready, enjoy it at the connecting breakfast bar or the colourful dining table, where you can open a bottle of bubbly to celebrate this coastal getaway. After relaxing amongst the bubbles in the stylish, ground-floor bathroom, choose between two bedrooms on this floor to rest in; a charming single or double.

Head upstairs to find two more bedrooms, a spacious double decorated with a nautical theme, with a door connecting to the twin room; ideal for a family with little ones. The rooms not only share an appealing shower room, but they benefit from a first-floor snug with bean bags, a TV and a selection of books and games to enjoy.

The rear garden is the perfect spot to dine alfresco as the kids and furry friend play on the vast lawn. A leisurely stroll takes you to the centre of Abersoch, where you can enjoy excellent food at the range of eateries available, including The Vaynol Pub and Fresh Bar & Grill, as well as purchase any necessities from the well-stocked convenience stores; the village is home to two fabulous beaches, one being the Abersoch Harbour Beach where you can unwind as you watch the boats sail out to the sea, or set sail yourself if you’ve brought a boat!

Gilfach Reviews

Christopher
We've had a great week at Gilfach and would definitely return in future. The house is very well equipped, very comfortable and in an excellent location for exploring Abersoch and the surrounding area. The new hot tub is a bonus and compliments the very pleasant garden.
The description of the property was totally accurate. It was well laid out had plenty of facilities. The rear garden and patio was a lovely place to relax and the kids to play after full days at the beach. Village, nearest shop and beach were all within a short walk.
We had the best time at Gilfach it was homely, comfortable and very family friendly. I especially appreciated the kidfriendly table cloth and blackout blinds in the kids bedrooms. These little things make a big difference to daytoday living with little ones! Patio was great, we had a lovely BBQ in the sunshine on the last night. Fab location, 10 min walk to the centre, kids park & Spar. A few mins in the car to Abersoch Main Beach and 510 mins to many other great beaches too. Would highly recommend!
Brilliant location, 10 mins walk to the beach and to central town. So peaceful and quiet plus a gorgeous sea view from the upstairs. Garden is a great size for a dog and the new patio area is fab to enjoy in the sunshine. Loved our stay so much really hope to return again!

The property is situated in a quiet and ideal location, just a short walk into Abersoch with it's great pubs, restaurants and boutique shops. The property has everything you need, however we found the TV a bit complicated at times, but it works fine. It's great to have two bathrooms and the upstairs shower is great! The property could do with a bit of a refresh, but it didn't spoil our stay. We had an issue with the heating first day, we contacted Adam and he sorted it out straight away for us it was partly our fault as we must have turned it off somehow by accident while trying to get it to work it was good to have Adam on the end of the phone if we had any queries and he always replied to us. We only had a small cockapoo with us and she loved the garden and never tried to escape. We weren't sure if we should have taken our own towels or not because I read that towels and bedding were provided then further down the information it said towels and tea towels were not provided,so I rung the office to check and was told to take our own towels, beach towels and tea towels. When we arrived at the properly there were towels not beach and tea towels there! There's some lovely beaches around and dogs can be taken on some. All in all we had a lovely break at this property.
Fabulous property, spotlessly clean with everything you could possibly need. Perfect location for exploring the many beautiful beaches in the area. Would highly recommend this property
We greatly enjoyed our stay at Y Gilfach. The property was clean, spacious and comfortably furnished. The culdesac was quiet, and the garden felt more secluded than we had expected from the photographs. A lovely view from the upstairs double, over rooftops to the sea. A hearty uphill walk away from the bustle of Abersoch. We'd recommend the farm shop cafe near Sarn Bach views of the sea, reasonably priced food of good quality, and friendly staff.

Well equipped light and bright accommodation. Peaceful location 10 minutes walk from centre. Nice garden and plenty of space for vehicles.
The telephone numbers on the welcome book did not work at all thankfully I booked though your selfsand you were quick to respond when needed. .
Amazing stay here in September. We returned after staying last year and the house is in perfect location for us and so peaceful! All very clean and got Everything you could need. Only negative is the tv situation in the main room, simply doesnt work. Everything else Great.
Fabulous property. Beautiful decor, well equipped and one of the best ones we have ever been in and we have visited for over 30 years. Location is great. House is spacious. We will be back 1000

Everything was perfect well arrange as a rental property together with a perfect location. Our only small complaint was the quality of the mattressess on the double beds , not as comfortable as I would have hoped.
Very peaceful location with a nice 10 minute walk into the village. Great facilities and we really enjoyed our stay.
The property is great, just not cleaned to a particularly high standard. Also some stuff getting very tired now like the UPV windows which are old whistle like crazy on a windy day and are difficult to open and close.
Charles
Amazing , only addition would be beach equipment

Lovely house a short walk from the centre of Abersoch. Home from home. Very comfortable. Great decor. Really enjoyed our stay.
Comfortable, modern and clean and generally a lovely place to stay. The outside could do with some care and modernisation to be in keeping with the neighbouring houses and area as it was a bit of a heartsink as we drove up. Of note, the information on line does not make it clear that the adjoining bedroom twin is literally that. Adjoined to another bedroom with no access to bathroom or landing. This might be less important if you have put your young children in there but absolutely inappropriate if you are booking this house for adult couples. We had planned to use the twin so our adult children and partners could have the doubles. It was inappropriate for us to have to go through their bedroom for the toilet and so I ended up downstairs in the single room with my husband on the floor on a mattress in there with me. There is also a problem with the window frame in the single room and the wind whistles all night. As my husband is elderly and I have physical health conditions it impacted on the enjoyment of our holiday knowing we had to be in the single room in cramped conditions with the noise of the wind all night. We think this house is great for a family with small children but a nono for adult couples.

A great holiday in a lovely property which was in a really convenient location for the village & the beach . Very complete and clean.
We enjoyed our stay at Gilfach and thought very nice property with perfect layout for the family. Wales is always top of our list for holidays with beautiful beaches and scenery.
