The Beach House Criccieth Reviews

Abigail
This is an absolutely beautiful home in an idyllic setting. Excellent for families. We had an absolutely wonderful time!
Loved staying here, instant calmness when you walked in with outstanding views, just perfect
Sharon
A grab rail would be great in the on suite bath in the downstairs bedroom
This is an amazing holiday home in great location with view over the sea. It's so good I nearly didn't leave a review, so I can keep it to myself. The outside requires more work, but it's totally fine with a jacuzzi to boot the owner's state it's a work in progress. The faultless interior and amazingly well stocked equipment totally makes up for that. We will be coming back!
Stunning home, we thoroughly managed to unwind with stunning views of Criccieth coastline, enjoyed spotting the trains which came along each so often, and loved seeing bunnies hopping about in the garden in the morning and early evening. The hot tub was thoroughly used by us all, and a welcome sight after walking in this beautiful area. On an admin point, even though we booked at very short notice, all documents and cottage information came to us very quickly. Couldn't have asked for better.

What a fantastic week we had from start to finish, from opening the door to The Beach House was a wonderful experience, all the facilities were just fantastic, very comfortable beds, the ensuite roomwhich my husband and I stayed in was very comfortable overlooking the sea,and waking up to that view every morning was just amazing, even the bunk beds were comfortable so I was told by the children, the garden was lovely not overlooked and the grand children loved the swings and the slides , the hot tub was amazing, lovely to come back to after a walk or cool evening, watching people play the pitch and putt and golf football was funnywe were going on it but the weather changed and it wasn't open! watching the waves roll whilst having breakfast was unbelievable, we did go down to the beach a couple of days the grandchildren loved it, the castle was enjoyable place to go to, Cadwalladers ice cream was very nice, also castle fish n chips were delicious

We have had a fabulous weekend. The house has everything you could possibly need. It was perfect for our young grandson, who enjoyed playing with all the toys provided. The bedrooms were beautiful with good quality bedding. The house is big enough that we werent on top of each other at all and evenings near the log burner were so cosy. I would love to return to Beach House and Criccieth. I have also been really impressed with the helpful staff at Sykes Cottages. Thank you to everyone for making our stay so perfect.

Property was fantastic it was as was advertised. Very clean and everything you need for a comfortable stay.Lovely town within 10 minutes walk with a pub, restaurants, small supermarket, bakery and butchers. Trains 2 hourlyand Buses available every half hour. A restaurant also on the doorstep serving great food although abit pricey Dylans. Fantasic beach amazing colourful stones and lots of walks locally. It is also driving distance of many tourist attractions. Unfortunately the Hot tub was out of use the whole of our stay which was disappointing. We was made aware of the issue and the postal strikes delayed the parts arriving so not the owners fault.

We had a fantastic time at The Beach House Criccieth. The house in a lovely quiet culdesac, close the beach. It offers fantastic views. We feel it is the perfect house for a family get together. The house is comfortable and has everything needed for a week away. The garage contains a playroom which my 3 year old Nephew absolutely loved. The hot tub is a lovely addition ad provided some relaxing times. The Master Bedroom is so luxurious, with a huge bed and beautiful ensuite and cracking views of the sea. My parents use this room and it is important to us that they are comfortable and warm which this room provides in spades. We love this house and will hopefully return again next year for our 3rd annual family getaway at The Wonderful Beach House. Thank you.
A very comfortable and well equipped house in a wonderful location. Everything set up for a brilliant family holiday. A parasol or awning on the terrace would be helpful in sunny weather.
Excellent property in a fantastic location with lovely views. It had everything we needed has been well thought out and a hot tub which was enjoyed by all of us. The train passing along the bottom of the enclosed garden was an added bonus for my grandson. We all had a great time exploring the area and found lots to do that suited my young grandchildren.
Our stay at The Beach House was wonderful, great location, plenty of space for 4 adults and 2 children, loved the hottub and the children were in their element on the garden toys. Very easy to walk to the beach, into the town area and Dylans. Good off road parking. Lovely views, especially in the evening sunsets. Children loved shouting train each time one passed!
Loved the location, the size and feel of the house. The kitchen was well equipped. Master bedroom and ensuite was super, lots of storage. Hot tub great addition. We felt the only negative was the amount of lose wires around the house especially with having a small child with us.
Beautiful, well equipped home. When we had a little issue, they sorted it quickly. The bed in the master bedroom is AMAZING! Soooo comfortable. We had a brilliant time, despite the weather and the hot tub, pool tale and jigsaw were very well used.
Victoria
A fabulous house. Great location with lovely views. The house had everything we needed and was perfect for a family holiday. We will definitely be booking this property again.

The Beach House in Criccieth is amazing, so well equipped with everything you would possibly need, a true home from home! Spacious, airy and a view that is just perfect. We saw dolphins most days out of the bedroom window!! Excellent village easy to walk to with the beach, Dylans Give it a tryits to die for book in advance tho!, footgolfkayakpaddle boarding on your doorstep. Few little pubs, butchers, takeaway, cafes etc in walking distance. Day 2 call from the owner which was lovely and always helpful when asked any questions. Perfect base for exploring North Wales and surrounding areas. Would I recommend ? Most definately! Thanks Claire and David we had a great time.
Totally suitable for an extended family holiday with plenty of space in the living area and outside for communal eating etc. More than adequate kitchen equipment and a plentiful supply of crockery, cutlery and glasses. Very child friendly inside and in the garden
The Beach House is a lovely holiday home well equipped, comfortable and clean in a great location with views across the bay and to the castle. The hot tub and private garden are pleasant and it is a quiet location despite being only a few minutes walk from the beach, access to the coastal footpath and the centre of Criccieth. Three generations of our family have had a great holiday here and we have booked to return again.
The Beach House must be one of the best properties in the area. An abundance of space, from the ability to park numerous cars, to the lovely gardens and terrace all flowing from the huge proportions of the house itself. The garden is an absolute sun trap from morning to evening and with hot tub and children's area really does cater for everyone. The enormous master bedroom suite was the biggest bedroom we have ever slept in and having only just got home, we are already looking forward to going again later this year. We couldn't recommend the house and its helpful owners enough, They really provide everything that one could possibly want for a relaxing family holiday.
Carolyn
A great holiday home, fantastic location and range of facilities
Really enjoyed our stay, in this fabulous house A well presented place. Beautiful layout, lovely view of the bay and beach. Would highly recommend Will definitely be returning Many thanks Simon.
We loved our long girlie weekend at the Beach House. Location is beautiful and the house has everything you could possibly need or want including a very nice hot tub. There is even a log burner in the conservatory to warm those chilly winter nights. Unfortunately, we had a few problems with it but the owner is aware and Im sure it will be sorted for future guests. We would def recommend.
Stayed here over Christmas for 4 days. Absolutely beautiful place, very clean, great facilities, everything you could need is in the cottage, was a perfect holiday, couldn't have asked for anymore, hotub was a delight, master bedroom was gorgeous with the bed being the most comfy bed I have slept in while away. Will deffo be booking to come back soon
Most enjoyable stay in this comfortable, well equipped house. Views out over the bay were amazing! Stargazing from the hot tub was an unforgettable experience. Perfect base for exploring coast and Snowdonia national park. Waking up every morning hearing the waves crashing on the beach which was a couple of minutes walk away was very relaxing. Courtesy call from the owners during the stay to see how we had settled in was appreciated. Would highly recommend this property!
Antony
The Beach House is really well situated and is clean, comfortable and provides all the facilities for a great holiday. In Criccieth which is an ideal base to explore the beautiful Lleyn Peninsula. The town has the basic requirements for shopping all within easy walking distance as well as a range of good restaurants, cafes, pubs etc . The atmosphere of this place welcoming as well as scenic.
Christopher
The house was fabulous, if i could say one thing it could do with a little paint ... The house was fabulous, if i could say one thing it could do with a little paint job here and there some parts of the house are looking a little tired, but apart from that its a superb house in a superb location will certainly be going back
From stepping in the door on arrival it felt like home. We had a great family holiday. The house easily accommodated 6 adults and a 4 yr old and due to the large array of toys, books, play things etc, was kept entertained all week. A huge thank you to the owners for allowing us to stay in their beautiful home. Thank you Sykes Cottages, our stay was a winwin for everyone
Tamara
Absolutely amazing view from our bedroom window, I could never tire of it and will miss it the most.
Katrina
Fabulous house everything we needed. Right next to beach. Would highly recommend
Bethan
This cottage is even more beautiful than the pictures convey, and the owners had thought of everything you could possibly need and provided it. Waking up in the plush master bedroom, walking out into the garden, looking out over the sea and listening to the birds was a dream only rivaled by sitting in the hot tub in an evening watching the stars and having a drink. We adored our stay at the Beach House and are aching to go back already.
Lovely place to be in any weather, use the Cambrian Railway Line to visit Harlech, Barmouth, Tywyn. The lines ranger ticket is great value, or small group ticket. The Welsh Highland Railway or Ffestiniog make great all weather days. Plenty to see locally to the house and what a great house it was also! We had seven adults, the king size ground floor ensuite was great for our parents. I especially chose this house for its proximity and largely flat access to the promenade and beach. This made the wheelchair easy for dad. Then theres the lovely view from the house! Its a lovely quiet street so we enjoyed not being disturbinged. Great facilities in the house and garden highly recommend this place .
A lovely house in a great location a stones throw from the sea front. Well thought out with everything you could need to hand. Had the added bonus of 4 days of summer style weather in February which we really werent expecting.
Sylvia
This lovely holiday home fully met the needs of our family of 9. We had 6 adults, two boys aged 8 & 9 and a baby aged 1. It is a well thought out holiday home which had everything we needed. The kitchen was so well equipped which helped with the so important family meals together. The living and dining room was lovely and really spacious. The big garden with hot tub has a well furnished patio area and was also fully equipped with swings and slides for the children. We absolutely loved the downstairs bedroom with ensuite, perfect for nanny and bampi. The upstairs bedrooms and bathroom were perfect for meeting the needs of two couples and their children. The garage was also fully equipped like a toy room for rainy days. Everything that we needed was there even picnic bags The beach was less than five minutes walk away which the kids loved. It is the perfect base for exploring this part of Wales
By far the nicest rental we have ever stayed in. Everything was clean and the cottage was beautifully presented. Stunning views and the layout was well thought out. The garage was an treasure trove for children and the master bedroom was exeptional. Didnt want to leave and would recommend this lovely cottage.
Gerald
The property is ideally situated in a very quiet road about 400 yards from the beach and within easy walking distance to shops and several restaurants. The garage was superbly equipped with toys for all ages! The sea view from the upstairs windows covering the estuary, sea, hills and castle was picture postcard material. The grandchildren were particularly enthusiastic about their bunk bed room with its nautical theme and unique lighting scheme. The house was beautifully decorated and very well equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, full height fridge, and extra freezer in the garage. More than enough cutlery and dishes. The colourful and well maintained rear garden with its hot tub and lawn provided an excellent two level enclosed play or relaxation area Furnishings had been thoughtfully chosen and complemented with interesting lighting schemes. The single track railway line at the bottom of the garden was not a problem and never a noise nuisance. More than adequate parking for 34 cars. The main bedroom and with ensuite shower and bath provided a superb and large escape area for grandparents. Multiple televisions around the house were largely unused as there was too much to do! The house more than met its claim to be a ten person unit. We felt that this was a superb beautifully presented home where the owners had completed a total makeover and simply left it to us to enjoy.
Amazing location and the cottage it's self is beautiful. We stayed in The beach House for 2 weeks and could have easily stayed longer. The cottage easily accommodated 10 of us and we had the most spectacular time. The kids loved the garden and garage which was equipped with things to keep them amused. The surrounding area has lots to offer great beaches, castles, boat rides, parks the list is endless. You can do as much or as little as you desire.
Heather
What a lovely holiday home. It was set in an ideal location, 5mins walk to the sea and near a wonderful restaurant, Dylans. Perfect if you dont want to cook. But also close enough to the shops if you did wanted to pick up bits and bobs. Lots to do in the area. We will definitely be going back there.
