About Just A Cottage

New to Sykes Cottages, Just A Cottage, is a stunning cottage on the outskirts of St Florence in Pembrokeshire. Perfect for families, this abode boasts a TV in each bedroom, partial ground-floor living, with family-friendly facilities and rural views.

Park the car, then step onto the drive with the soft crunch of stone beneath you. As you approach, take in the stunning exterior of this cottage featuring cedar clad walls and neatly paved patio flooring.

Peek through the glass window at what awaits, then open the stylish door into the hallway, with space to hang any coats and boots from your outdoor adventures. Walk through one of the vibrant doors to the harmoniously designed living space.

The kitchen is polished and stylish with warm tones and ample amenities to make you feel at home. Sizzle, simmer, and serve straight from the stove ?to enjoy at the breakfast bar, looking out onto the garden and the countryside field.

For larger meals, dine at the table set for six guests in the living/dining room. Here you can flick on the TV and play some music to set an ambience for the evening.

After dinner, enjoy a film night with the mounted TV ready and waiting, take your pick from two plush sofas or an armchair and unwind. ?Crack open the patio doors to the garden and enjoy a glass of something cold as the children play on the lawn, admire the glow of the sky as the sun sets and plan the adventures ahead.

Dinosaur Park - SA67 8DE

The Dinosaur Park is located in Tenby and makes the perfect family day out.  Activities on offer include fossil hunting, Dino Crafts, Pat a Pet and the treasure hunt.  For both toddlers and older kids there's an indoor adventure playground, ideal when the weather is not on your side.  The high-tec activity centre is always popular with interactive fun and education.  New in 2010 is Hooplasaurus.  Check out their website for the latest admission prices and what's on when you plan to visit.
Folly Farm - SA68 0XA

Folly Farm in Pembrokeshire is an award winning Farm attraction, offering fun for the whole family come rain or shine. The main attractions are the Zoo, Farm and Petting Barn and there is also a huge Adventure Play Area and a small funfair with traditional rides. Priced at just £8.00 for adults and £7.00 for children it offers excellent value for money. There are several places to eat and drink including a licensed bar and a family friendly restaurant.
Pembroke Castle - SA71 4LA

Pembroke Castle is thought to be the birthplace of the Tudor dynasty and is an excellent choice for a family day trip. The castle one of the areas most iconic landmarks and features an amazing 75ft high Great Tower! Visitors can also take a tour of the Norman Hall and the Exhibition Rooms where the displays change regularly. There is also a Picnic area and plenty of open space for children to run around in the grounds and gardens. The site also has a cafe and a gift shop.
Celtic Quest Coaststeering - SA65 9PT

Celtic Quest Coaststeering offers a unique way for active families to spend the day. As long as children are over 8 and everyone is fit and well the whole family can enjoy a day of climbing, descending down mountains, cliff jumping and Island hopping. This adrenaline boosting day out is not for the fainthearted. A half day of Coaststeering cost just £39.00 per person.
Merlin Hill Centre - SA67 8BP

Merlin Hill Centre is a working dairy farm located deep in the Carmarthenshire countryside. Although not a petting farm the farm is still very family friendly with plenty of fun activities to keep children happy. The farm has a good sized play area and plenty of picnic tables as well as a Farmyard Heritage Centre where visitors can learn all about Welsh farm life and about the mystical Legend of Merlin. Get there early if you want to watch the cows being milked!
National Botanic Garden of Wales - SA32 8HN

When the weather is nice this attraction is perfect as you can wander around and admire the superb range of exotic trees and shrubs.  They look different at different times of the year but one of the most popular times to see them is in Autumn.  With various events throughout the year such as Apple Weekend there is always something new to experience.  You can watch a 90 second film about this attraction on their website which is excellent.
