Aloe Lodge

A fantastic and relaxing break! We had a great stay at Aloe Lodge. Set in the countryside and surrounded by nature, it was so peaceful and relaxing. We saw deer, hares, rabbits and birds of prey near the property. And look out for the plane on arrival! The property is all on one level, beautifully furnished and very comfortable. The air conditioning was a real bonus on the hot summer days. The bed and pillows have to be some of the comfiest we've experienced in any place we've stayed, which made for a great night's sleep. We enjoyed sitting out on the patio for breakfast in the mornings, and the hot tub was the perfect way to end the day. It's beautifully positioned overlooking the fields and was such a lovely place to unwind. The location is a perfect base for exploring both Norfolk and Suffolk. We visited Dedham Vale National Landscape, Aldeburgh, Southwold, Redgrave & Lopham Fen Nature Reserve, Eye, Diss, Norwich and Bury St Edmunds, and found all of these destinations were within roughly an hour's drive. We met the owner, Robbie, who was very friendly and had some fantastic recommendations. The lodge also had an extensive guide to the property and the local area, which was really helpful and gave us plenty of ideas. We found some beautiful restaurants within a short drive. The Gamekeeper in Old Buckenham and The Boars in Wymondham were both within a 10 minute drive. The only improvements we could suggest would be adding a small hob to the kitchen area alongside the microwave and air fryer, as this would give a little more flexibility for cooking. We also found the shower temperature to be a little temperamental at times. But these are very minor points and certainly didn't spoil our stay. All round, a fantastic place for a peaceful and relaxing break. We would happily return. Thank you!

Maura and Robbie are very helpful and friendly. Upon arrival we noticed lots of little touches that we have not come across before. The Lodge was spotless, comfortable and relaxing. Hot tub looking across open fields and wildlife visiting in the morning was a treat. A gem in a quiet location.

A beautiful little cottage. Very clean and comfy. Set in a peaceful setting. Everything you could possibly need for your stay. Comfy bed. Air con which is a bonus when extremely hot weather. Parking outside door. Hot tub is around the back of the cottage via a path. So if you have walking issues this is worth bearing in mind. My wife is a wheelchair user and we managed to pull the wheelchair across the grass at the back of which Robbie didn't have an issue with at all. In fact he was very accommodating even though he was away on holiday at the time. He was still contactable if any issues occurred of which there were no issues at all. We would say this cottage is almost wheelchair friendly as plenty of space inside for wheelchair users for a comfortable stay. We would not hesitate to stay again in the future as it met our needs completely. A fabulous location to travel to lots of areas within easy reach. Had a excellent, relaxing stay at Aloe Lodge, really comfortable accommodation with excellent views and facilities. Made very welcome by Robbie and maura. Will definitely be returning in the near future.

Had a lovely stay here, great location, the lodge is well equipped, aircon was wonderful, the hot tub was great in the evenings, robbie and maura are great hosts and nothing is to much for them, very helpful, and to top it off the bed was so comfortable, would stay again in the future.

We loved our stay, the lodge was so clean and Robbie was a great host and gave us a tour on arrival and was always on hand if we had any issues, the area is so quite and peaceful and the hot tub and seating area were great in the extreme heat conditions.

Upon arrival the owner was friendly and welcoming, he showed us around and was always contactable if needed. Our stay was comfortable and relaxing, the bed was comfy, kitchen well equipped and of course the hot tub was our favourite bonus! There are plenty of villages and shops to visit around as well as the beach being a drive away!! For the price we payed we were so pleased with our overall stay and would definitely return. Anyone looking for a peaceful and cozy break this is the place for you!

Wow what a lovely lodge! Me and my partner had a lovely wkend stay and had a lovely time. Both hosts were very helpful and friendly but also just the right amount of privacy. The hot tub is a great bonus and the views out to the fields are beautiful. Would love to stay again.

What an amazing place to stay and an amazing host also! Everything was perfect, from the stunning views to the relaxing hot tub and 5 star bed. Absolutely brilliant week and wish we could have stayed for longer. Very excited to go back and thank you Robbie for allowing us to experience such a beautiful place you have built, for the lovely chats and also for promoting our privacy too. We had a lovely stay at Aloe Lodge, We had a lovely great on arrival, shown around the property,which was lovely. Lovely and clean, everything you need for your stay. We even had some lovely Easter treats waiting for us. Thank you. Nothing was too much trouble. The hot tube was a bonus, lovely time relaxing. We had a lovely welcome from the owner, even though we arrived late, which was really appreciated. The hot tub was a great bonus, completely private and added to the peaceful atmosphere. The lodge itself was extremely clean and warm. The bed was very soft and comfortable a little too soft for my partners liking, and the pillows were lovely too, which really does make a big difference. Overall, a peaceful, relaxing stay and we would definitely recommend this lodge.
